TOM THUMB BAIT AND SWITCH

Tom Thumb advertised choice T-bone steak for Easter weekend at $6.99 per pound. When I found the steaks, they were marked $9.99 per pound. A considerable difference! No worries, the meat department assured me. The price will be corrected at checkout. Not only did it NOT correct the price at checkout, it actually rang up one of the two packs at the original price, with no discount at all! I asked to see the manager who said he could not discount the item (despite the add) because it was the meat department responsibility. Sigh. The old bait and switch. According to Food & Wine magazine, Tom Thumb is already ultra expensive, sitting at 25.4% higher than the grocery store baseline. It’s little wonder that Tom Thumb is losing business regularly. I will be surprised if they survive the next few years.

Tom Thumb- worst grocery store

Tom Thumb, 1940 N. Hwy 77
Applies to all their stores.
Waxahachie Texas...I hate this store..and drive past it to get to HEB where prices are lower and simple. TOM THUMB prices are TOO HIGH. AND pricing is too confusing...They literally insist on the app (these apps are surveillance, data gathering, and selling of your info). Say NO if you're sick of corporations gathering, sharing, selling your personal data. They need customers, stop allowing them into your private life.
If you have an older phone with no storage, they literally try to grab your phone from you, thinking you're stupid ... I'm sick of apps taking up space ONLY to steal/sell your data and this includes data ON YOUR PHONE.
Almost ALWAYS- SELF checkout, ...if you need help (prices don't ring up right BECAUSE THERE'S SO MANY DIFFERENT PRICES), there's ONE front- older woman- "manager" WHICH is rude, and literally walks off....
SEVERAL prices--CONFUSING....
Digital, Sat/ Sun only, online only, "members only", so its a club?
Then there's the FINE print-too small to read thats pointed out at checkout- $35.00 purchase (not including sale item) to get an item...
Only DUMB working people are going to put up with their stupidity AND PERSONAL DATA GATHERING.
