Buying a waistcoat over the internet can be daunting. But I've bought two from Tom Sawyer Waistcoats now, and I can only recommend them. They are helpful, sending swatches of the various fabrics for me to assess, helping with advice on the type of fit, and discussing the options for a bespoke waistcoat until I was perfectly happy. It arrived a week earlier than expected because I mentioned that I'd a meeting, and they pulled out all the stops just so I could take my new waistcoat with me.

The Charcoal Grey Steampunk High Neck Double-Breasted Waistcoat with Shawl Collar is most excellent. Although it may be considered for 'formal occasions' with the wing swept shirt as shown on the Tom Sawyer website, I pleasantly discovered that it can be worn casually with an open neck 'penny round' collar shirt and even with the addition of a conventional tie or a scrunchy tie. I purchased two cumabund and bow tie sets.
Whilst pleased with the quality of the materials and speed of delivery I was somewhat disappointed with the adjusting mechanism on the ties.
These are large metal bands making them impossible to wear with wing collar dress shirts.
I have several other pre-ties bow ties that are adjusted by a discreet hook and eye system.
