Thomann have a wide selection of instruments and accessories which are always competitive, even though they are shipped from Germany. Quality has always been first class and without problems. Always my first choice!

I ordered a guitar and accessories worth around £1,200. Everything seemed fine at first, although I could not inspect the instrument beforehand, so I took a chance as it was supposedly B-grade.
The seller was polite and reasonable when I placed the order, and said they would cover any import taxes. A few days later, while I was at work, the parcel was marked as out for delivery, although I was unaware of this because the emails had gone into my junk folder.
I work as a care worker and am often away, usually overnight for up to 36 hours. Despite the delivery instructions requiring a signature, the DHL driver left the parcel in the back garden in plain view and signed for it themselves.
When I returned home the next day, the parcel had disappeared. None of my neighbours had taken it, so I was understandably frustrated. I contacted Thomann, but was asked to sign a declaration, even though both DHL and Thomann confirmed that the delivery was non-compliant. I was told the declaration was needed before anything could be done, which left me feeling stuck.
I requested a refund after 24 hours, but this was refused. I was not given this in writing; I was simply told the declaration had to be signed. As I had no contract with DHL and had done nothing wrong, I was left with no choice but to contact my credit card provider to seek assistance, as I was without the goods and out of pocket.
Overall, I am very disappointed. The seller may have started off well, but the delivery process failed badly, and the lack of empathy was also frustrating.
I would advise other buyers to be cautious.
Update, 29th April 2026
So I have emailed you again in writing on the email you gave, asking for you to refund me, I have supplied order number and tracking information, please do the right thing, I haven’t yet had a response and if I’m honest I am not sure you will answer, but I am hopefully you might do the right thing!

Usually I like Thomann.
Normally I order stuff, and it just arrives. This time however, I needed counselling because I'm facing some issues.
Do not waste your time writing for guidance, you will get an AI answer back. If I wanted an AI answer, then I would have asked an AI myself, in fact I already did, and decided I'd rather wanted to communicate with a human for guidance. I actually called them the first time, but the guy gave me questionable advice. I then wrote a detailed description of my current setup and the issues I am facing. The guidance team then took my email and put it into ChatGPT (everyone can do that), and then sent me the answer. I can clearly see thats how ChatGPT writes, highlights sections etc. Also the guidance was contradicting to what the guy on the phone said. All in all pretty weird experience.

Great customer service. I mistakenly ordered an extra gig bag after noticing the guitar I ordered came bundled with a bag. After contacting customer service I found out the shipment had already been dispatched. However they promptly offered a refund with no need to return the extra bag. No hassles included. Will take more care next time when ordering but thomann ensured minimal hassles. Thanks guys. Greatly appreciated.

I’d been looking to upgrade my Alesis e drum kit to something more realistic for quite a while, and after researching online, the Millenium MPS 1000 consistently received positive reviews, and YouTube reviews were also very favourable.
The entire experience with Thomann was exceptional from ease of navigating the website, finding the produce I was after at a fantastic price, through to delivery.
As for the bundle package, it met every expectation and more, from excellent build quality, realistic feel and sound.

I attempted to order a drum kit through Thomann and it was not a pleasant experience. The delivery date was constantly being moved around. Their responses were swift but cryptic and ambiguous. I was told that the drums would "arrive in a few days." Then a few days would pass and nothing. I finally asked them for specifics, and they said they had no idea when the drums would ship. They finally sent me an email saying it would be months.
A complete waste of time. Better to shop for your instruments elsewhere.

Poor. Lack of communication and transparency along with poor customer service. Pretty frightening to have made this purchase. Kept in the dark. Delivery of guitar put me back into the light. Way,way too long a delivery after such a pricey purchase. Won’t be coming back for more…

As a UK customer, considering their warehouse is in the EU, they do a great job in dispatching and having orders delivered in a timely fashion, usually in under a week.

The assortment is huge. Prices are good even if the occational product can be found slightly cheaper elsewhere. Checkout is straighforward and shipping is good. The goods is on its’ way in a day or so, and it is always reliable, and tracking works like a charm. So far, they would be just below the highest score, but here comes the best part, the customer service. Their support is knowledgeable, respectful and prompt. I’ve had two product complaints, which have been handled meticulously. I even had a non catalogue request they could help me with. Great homepage, too, with wishlist options.
