Thistle is an excellent experience overall. We like or love most of the meals, the food is usually delicious, and I feel like it is healthier for us. It is so convenient to have the meals delivered right to our home, and the cost per meal is less than we would spend on takeout.

I am a longtime customer. I love the convenience of Thistle, but even more the consistently delicious ready-to-eat vegan meals & juices!! Deliveries are customizable with plenty of meal/snack/juice options & delivery dates. I'm a very happy customer. Thank you!!

I’ve enjoyed many meals but I would love to see more of a variety of vegetables and starches. There is often a mix of the same veggies and if you’re not a fan of one of them, it limits the selection.

I love a good healthy delivery but with the price increasing and no adjustment to the food it’s hard to justify. The amount of meat included is very little. And I am always sickened by the waste or the plastic. The meals get very repetitive and there should be other options besides a bowl and a salad. The soups are awful, don’t try them but I do looove the dessert; the bars especially! I love the concept and I continue to get it every once in awhile but I may look elsewhere because of these concerns. Recently the meals have been haphazardly put together. I am also curious about why the fats are always so high in every meal.

This all has literally saved my life - literally.

My husband and I both work intense jobs and we had a baby six months ago and since then our health is gone out the window with no time to cook. We wind up ordering GrubHub every night and I’ve gained weight and feel so unhealthy. it’s hard to find healthy takeout. I’m also vegetarian and he eats meat makes cooking even harder because I need to prepare two separate meals.

Enter thistle and our life has changed. Now I could have dinner for both of us ready in less than 10 minutes. The meals are healthy, very veggie forward and super delicious. I often take a scoop out of mine to feed the six months old since the ingredients are so wholesome.

Thistle has been the perfect solution for me. I was trying to eat the 30+ plants/week to make my microbiome happy. My grocery bills were high, I threw out a lot of food, and I was about to give up. Then came along Thistle. I spend less on Thistle than I did on groceries. The food is not only nutritious, it's delicious. I tried a couple other services -- and they literally sent me ultra-processed ingredients -- what I was trying to get away from! I'm very grateful for Thistle!

CUSTOMER SERVICE: The several times I’ve contacted customer support, the issues have been promptly resolved. Some of those issues have been delivery-related; others have been user error with the website. However, my concern re: customer service is that it is challenging to contact the company on a non delivery-related issue.

FOOD: For the most part, I’m satisfied with the food options, particularly the wide range of low sodium options. Still feeling my way around the menu to determine where my food preferences best align. For example, while I like the way many of the dishes are seasoned, I’ve discovered that I’m not all that fond of the salads that use beans as the main protein source.

We enjoy the food a lot! It is certainly healthier eating than we’ve had before, and it’s made vegan cuisine an easier transition for us. However, I’d like to reiterate what was said below re: packaging. While I understand these things take time, Thistle has been promising reusable or compostable packaging for years with nothing yet. We were hopeful the “big announcement” this month had to do with new packaging, but were disappointed when it was only a branding shift (what are they doing with the old “reusable” delivery bags, btw? Trash?). Our town won’t accept the packaging for recycling (only the salad jars), so this is a lot to throw away. We’ve made a commitment this year to lessen our imprint, and unless the packaging changes soon, we will be phasing out our use of this service.

consistent and accurate deliveries. reasonable variety. food is always fresh. Overall, a great option to guarantee clean eating for 1-2 meals per day. I order lunches for the entire work week and feel great about improving this aspect of my diet.

This is probably the longest I have used a food delivery service. I think it has been over 4 months and I don’t plan to quit any time soon. I only order the dinners and lunches. I like that the meals are healthy and low carb almost meat free. The meals are hearty enough, and I find that it is overall cheaper and more time effective than if I did meal prep on my own. It works for my lifestyle, and I like that I don’t have to think about what to eat on a daily basis. I like that I can easily skip meals when I know I will out.

Thistle is amazing - healthy and super convenient. I switched from Factor to have more variety and healthier meals. I love that thistle delivers twice a week so the meals are more fresh.

Thistle has made life so much easier and I've lost about 15 lbs. I've been using Thistle for over 3 months now for our dinners and occasionally for lunches and both my husband and I enjoy the meals and the healthy ingredients. It's been worth every penny for us. My only issue is the plastic packaging. So I'm looking forward to when they're able to figure out a more sustainable option.

Absolutely love and adore the food and this companies professionalism. This is saved my life as I am so so busy don’t have time for shopping cooking chopping all those nutritious delicious foods that are delivered to my doorstep fresh twice a week. Thank you so for your mission to help people eat healthy in this busy day and age that we live in.

Love the food, the ease, and the options. But the Thistle app is poorly designed with terrible UX.

Thistle has inconsistent delivery, packaging issues, and repetitive meals. After four months of using it for all my food, I hate almost everything because I have eaten them all sooooo many timesssss and they don't add new options very frequently. I would say this service is better for people who only need it for a few meals a week, but not sustainable in the long run for people who are looking for variety.

Thistle's service and product quality was fine for me, but it's not an easy switch if you're not accustomed to eating this many plants. I admit that it made me feel good to eat so "clean" for the 1.5 weeks I used the service, but sadly I got extremely sick of eating so much salad; I stopped looking forward to meals, didn't find them especially flavorful, and just felt bored with the selection.

This company is horrible ! Deliveries to the wrong address over and over . Promises to credit my account for the meals delivered wrong NOTHING ever credited . Food is ok half the time the other half its thrown in the trash . No phone number to call , only emails . Now that I am cancelling my service I have no ability to remove my credit card and CS will not help . HORRIBLE experience !

I like these meals a lot. I like that the ingredients are organic and that there are options for meals with low sodium and with sauce on the side. A big problem I have with meal delivery is that the meals are often too salty and the fact that thistle puts the sauces on the side (for the most part) is a huge plus. I would like if more meals had the sauce on the side so I could use it at my discretion. I would love so macro bowl options for the colder weather too. Maybe some different whole grains like buckwheat, barley. Maybe some fresh organic fruit cups/salads? Thanks for creating healthy options!
