Wow Long journey from Manchester to Glasgow
So firstly Trainline insisted on issuing a ticket part electronic, part paper... bit strange but kind of worked.
The outward journey was fine, but the return was horrible, over crowded trains, carriages with AC failure and packed so full that it was standing room only. A horrible reminder that the UK rail service is a mess

My train was cancelled by service provider, i feel even if the booking wasn't a refundable booking, for the fact that the trip was cancelled, they should be refunding us.

It would be good to be able to self reserve seats rather than the system doing it, or at least be able to change them. We booked 2 seats separately but at the same time, yet still in separate carriages. It was booked separately due to 2 different cards. One of the party is autistic and would need support. Fortunately, the Trainline Social Media team were very prompt answering and dealt with it for us with no major problems. It was just a little fraught because of consent etc. Being able to pick seats at the outset would be better.
Impossible to get a refund
Impossible to get a refund, even within seconds of a booking. They managed to switch my trains to the opposite days on the app, and refused to refund me the £16.80 I had paid, just refunded the £1 service fee. Avoid this app and company if you can.

My experience was good but as a 52 year old male traveller, I think it is very unfair that I can’t obtain a travel card but seems every other age group can including ex military. This means you can join the army for 6 months and drop out & still get reduced travel ! ? !

Trainline becoming another data harvesting app
I tried to use the service after some time and got surprised that I cant check anything unless I enter my age. Theorically to tailor experience. I do NOT want any tailored experience. Just wanted to check basic info. Today age, tomorrow what, my shoe size, hair color? Today I would give 0 rating. Make it optional, use age range instead of precise number, make it with sense. Stop being another data harvesting place.
