Poor Instruction and No Accountability – I Regret Enrolling
If I could give zero stars, I would. I enrolled in The Studio Orlando’s “Working Commercial Markets” course in August 2025 expecting professional commercial acting training. Instead, I got poorly delivered, unstructured instruction that didn’t reflect what the course promised.
The instructor was clearly unprepared, struggled to follow the curriculum, and failed to teach key concepts correctly. The class felt disorganized and lacked any clear or useful feedback. Because my class was mostly beginners, the instructor’s lack of familiarity with the material may not have stood out. But as a non-beginner, the poor quality and incorrect instruction were impossible to miss.
On October 8, I had a phone call with Jonna, who serves as both the office manager and the person who creates the curriculum. She admitted that the instructor had not taught the course correctly and that what I described “was not how it should have been taught.” During that same call, we spoke about how my credit card dispute for the class was denied and assured me the owner would contact me directly since refunds were beyond her authority. No one ever reached out.
I understand the studio has a “no refund policy,” but that shouldn’t apply when the instruction fails to meet even the studio’s own standards. The poor teaching was acknowledged by their own staff, yet no one took responsibility or offered a resolution.
I’ve been patient and respectful throughout this process. After months of silence, the only response I received came after I posted a public review. That says everything about how this business operates.
I would not recommend The Studio Orlando to anyone seeking serious commercial acting training. Save your money for a school where the instruction is competent, consistent, and backed by professionals who actually stand behind what they advertise.
