I am an extra longboi but having previously written a glowing review on Google for this shop, I have to be honest with my recent purchase. It seems that they disabled Google reviews hence why I am now here. I ordered a plant which was racking up to £1,000 - having had a previous good experience with the quality of plants I didn't feel as though it was as risky as sourcing one from an independent seller. This is the most I've ever spent on a plant so it was really carefully considered. It arrived 11 days after order with more or less decent roots and small foliage of good quality. It did however arrive with a touch of root rot on the main root and the ends of some very small roots. The small roots are not an issue for me. The rot along the main root really concerned me - should it not be treated then it could spread leaving only a small root system behind that would not have supported the plant. I emailed the shop the same day as I received the plant, around 3 days ago now. It was a simple email showing photos and asking for their advice on how to deal with it. I'm aware of their terms of guarantee and was worried about doing anything to the plant that might void it, having already spent a lot of money, however in any case rot needs to be treated to prevent it from spreading. So far I haven't received a response from the shop. You would expect more from customer service, particularly when customers are choosing to invest their money. It does make you wonder whether there is customer service at all unless you're looking to buy from them...

03/11/2021 - To add, it's been about 3 months and I never received a reply from the shop. I went ahead and treated it myself not long after writing this review in August. The roots deteriorated to a concerning degree before I rehabbed the plant for 6 weeks in perlite. Very disappointing as I've always been a supporter of Kaylee, her business, and enjoy watching her videos.

Recent positive reviews are being left as the owner of the shop is a youtuber and asked for them. Disappointing and shady business practices.

Had no issues purchasing my order from the shop. Shipped out in a timely manner and came in looking almost perfect! I live in the US so I was very happy the plant looked so good when it arrived and has already perked up a bit after a few days :) will definitely purchase from again in the future. Didn’t need customer service so I can’t leave a review on that topic.

Amazing plants! I have ordered two plants from The Rare Plant Shop, Philodendron Dark Lord and Monstera Thai Constellation.
Both arrived beautifully packaged with great care, also it came with instructions on what to do immediately with the arrival of your plant. After my plants have settled they are both very happy and producing new leaves! You pay for great quality plants and I could not fault anything! X

Purchased a variegated monstera peru from here - came exactly as pictured on the website, perfect packaging, and the plant was growing within the week.
The store owner also makes very informative youtube videos about rare plants. I would recommend this store!

I ordered from this shop and I was very happy with my purchase. Plant arrived in excellent condition and is thriving. Would highly recommend this shop and will definitely order again in the future.

I have bought plants two times from this shop. When i bought the first I did not have much experience buying plants online so i did not know what to expect. That plant did not recover in a long time (one year it stayed stunted). And I was fine with that. Bought another one reacently, Idid as the card said and left it alone in the leca that it came in. After two weeks I took it out and the roots was really mush, rotted, the few that were there anyway. Now, I have more experience and know more, and have recieved other plants from around the world in much better condition than the plants I recieved from The Rare Plantshop. I am really disappointed. They should not have been in this bad condition. Now i am just happy if my last one from this shop even survives. Unfortunatly i will not buy from this shop again.

Unfortunate experience attempting to order from this website which has issued. Was incredibly slow and kept having items "go out of stock" on attempting to order them which still charged my account. Ended up having no orders go through but still many hundreds of pounds out of pocket. Customer service at first appeared to be good, but it's been over a week with no response now and no refund been provided despite the seller actively posting on social media instead of dealing with issues with received orders. Will NOT be ordering from this site again.

Super informative and truly cares. Rehabs the plants and climatizes them so your plant can arrive heathy. The bad review is kind of irrelevant since she has been very transparent that the store is closed while she expands her dream! Her love for for rare plants is infectious.

The woman who runs this shop clearly knows her stuff when it comes to plants!
Purchased a Philodendron Florida Ghost and received it very quickly, it was very well packaged to protect the plant and I also liked the card they put in with Contact information if there’s a problem with the order or you need any help. Overall a very pleasant experience and I’m excited for my next purchase. It was nice to buy a plant from a shop that puts in so much effort to ensuring the plant arrives with you safely and stays alive!
