GREAT LOOKING CAR BUT JUST RIDDLED WITH FAULTS

Bought a 17 plate Mokka a year ago and have held off with a review until now.

Buying the car was easy enough and the staff were very pleasant to deal with. However the car itself has has had issues from the start which is such a shame as it is a lovely car when it is working as it should! It was advertised as having a FSH but this wasn't the case, I should have walked away then but I was told it had been owned by a Vauxhall Mechanic since new, hence no FSH.

Within a week the catalytic converter developed a fault and required replacing, thankfully as it was within 30 days of the initial purchase this was covered and paid for by the dealer.

Since then we have had nothing but issues with the vehicles cooling system. Engine coolant bottle, engine coolant sensor and now the engine thermostat have all had to be replaced. The car is slowly working its way through the entire system. It's forever in the garage and the 'Gold' warranty we purchased isn't worth the paper it's printed on.

So overall we are extremely disappointed and will in future insist on the FSH if it is advertised as having it. Part of me feels like these issues were known at the time of selling but maybe that's just because I'm p*ssed off with the car.

Hopefully, someday soon, we will have the car we hoped we had bought.

Great from start to finish

Great from start to finish. From the getting a good price for my car and great price on my new car, mortaring hub have been very easy to deal with. very impressed. Both Emilia and Amy have kept me informed through out the journey. From my first phone call, my car has been delivered to an address over 350 miles away with in 4 days. Within the 4 days they have done an online appraisal of my current car, had my new car serviced and polished with a nano protection (to protect the body work and, at a very low price compared to quotes elsewhere). The driver (Greg) who was very professional and efficient called me the day before to give me a ETA and even said he would get the car cleaned for me after a 350 mile journey down. I will certainly look at this garage for my new car. Great management

Terrible experience. Best avoided.

After agreeing a trade-in for my 2 cars against a car they were selling they obviously had a change of heart and discouraged me from going ahead by failing to return calls and emails. I suppose this should have been a warning sign but I really wanted their car and the deal was good so I persevered. I took a 500 mile round trip to view their car and was given assurances that it would be serviced by a main dealer before delivery and that all the original accessories like carpet mats etc would be provided. I was particularly angered by the fact that the boss (Ash) couldn't even be bothered to come out and say hello to me after I had travelled such a long way to view their car. He just sent out his lackey Charlie to deal with me. I've since found out that the car wasn't taxed when I took it on a test drive and as they didn't bother to put trade plates on it would have been uninsured as well. Basically, they let me drive an untaxed and uninsured car! They reneged on their promise to have the car serviced by a main dealer, thus spoiling the car's service history and when the car arrived it was without the the inflator kit and carpets. Six weeks later I'm still waiting for these to be delivered. The advert and the invoice for the car states the mileage is 2,000 but the car was showing 3098 upon delivery. They have ignored my enquiries about the mileage discrepancy. When their drivers arrived to collect my 2 cars they both commented on how nice they were and how they looked fantastic for their age. A few days later I received an email from Charlie at The Motoring Hub saying that my cars were shoddy and had faults, none of which was true. I described them as accurately as I could and I spent 2 whole days cleaning, polishing and valeting my cars before they were collected. In addition, their drivers checked the cars out before taking them away and had nothing but praise for them. I have no idea what Charlie hoped to achieve by sending me an email rubbishing my cars but I can say that it just got me even more angry. I don't know if I was just unlucky or if The Motoring Hub is run by chancers but my experience wasn't good and I could never recommend them to anyone.
