I've been using ThemeForest for years. I've bought a lot of themes and plugins from their marketplace. There has been some good stuff and bad. You have to know what you're looking for and you can't trust that things that you buy are going to be updated. The thing to know is that if you have a bad experience, ThemeForest DOES NOT CARE! They will not do ANYTHING to help you. You are on your own! Also, if you buy something and have a bad experience, rate it within the first 6 months of purchase because if you try to rate it negatively after 6 months, they will remove it and say it's against their policies. ThemeForest cares about making money only! They do not care about their customer base at all. So buy with caution and do your research. Look at reviews but also look at comments. Look at how many themes an author has published and how quickly they reply to comments. Do they offer solutions in the comments or simply ask purchasers to contact support? If they say to contact support only, good chance those theme authors only care about your experience as long as you're within the window of support they are required to provide by contract. So get any issues you have resolved in those first 6 months because you're entirely on your own after that!

I paid more than $40 USD for a license and received absolutely nothing I tried to contact customer support for 3 days straight but no response.

I am extremely disappointed with Envato and their platform ThemeForest.net. I purchased a WordPress theme from ThemeForest, and it has been a complete disaster. The theme authors abandoned the project long ago, and it's evident from the numerous complaints left by frustrated users. Despite this, Envato continues to allow these authors to sell a theme that receives fake updates and offers no support.

It is outrageous that Envato would enable such deceptive practices, causing customers like myself to waste both time and money on a product that is essentially defunct. The lack of accountability and the negligence in vetting the quality and support of the themes sold on their platform is unacceptable.

I strongly advise against purchasing anything from Envato or ThemeForest. Their platform is unreliable, and they do not stand by their customers. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere for your WordPress themes and plugins.

I've been using theme forest for over 15 years and I've purchased hundreds of themes. It's a platform that understands how their customers need to search for, get detail on, and purchase themes. The support is also very fast and reliable.

I had a loto of problem with installation on last theme I bought, I had to reinstall it several time to try to make it work and surprise....after few times, the licence is no more valid, The result is: I lost my money and the theme I bougth I can't use

Themeforest is great, but..
I ordered two themes. 1 crashed my site. I have a ticket in with the vendor for a refund. It'd been two days with no reply. May dispute with paypal.

The other installation failed (The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.)

Now I need to battle with one company and start a refund request with the other. Time is money and energy and having to troubleshoot issues doesn't work.

*update. After asking for a refund one of the developers sent me the latest file which worked. Not sure why it wasn’t in the initial download.

The other sent me an explanation that it wasn’t a theme I download it was a template (which shouldn’t be under a theme).

I ask you for a refund but the procedure to ask it is not immediate and it is veeery slow.

The theme is broken.

Always easy to find fast and reliable Wordpress themes that stand the test of time.

I hope to update this review as soon as i get the issues resolved, but out of the gate 4 out of the 6 plugins had vunerabilies, and one of the major ones was 9.8 vul from wordfence. Trying to get updated plugins via support and a resolution.. still waiting after 36 hours since report.

Most themes have bugs, to the point that it is imperative to request custom updates.
Incomplete themes.
