This company are a disgrace

This company are a disgrace. Sold a vehicle which had issues almost immediately… multiple ongoing issues, ignored when trying to issues and an ever increasing repair bill currently standing at over £3000. When you exercise your right to terminate your contract they ignore it then continue to demand payments.. then have the audacity to state that a default will be issued for missed payments - after multiple written requests to terminate. Evidence has been gathered that this car was fraudulently passed an MOT prior to my purchase, which is evident with the ongoing problems I have had and is in the hands of trading standards. On requesting proof of repair prior to sale, you get sent a list, with names of multiple garages - nothing to confirm the required work was carried out to MOT standards, no VAT invoices or receipts just a sudden pass however 2 weeks after delivery I had to pay out a fortune to replace parts that this company state were replaced in the MOT before it was sold to me.

When you do get acknowledgment of voluntary termination you are then asked to pay £150.. on top of a £300 delivery charge for a vehicle an independent mechanic has confirmed is a death trap and should not have been sold. This is after paying over £11k not including repairs for a vehicle which is worth less than £2k, they also state the car must be in good working condition with any required repairs carried out. the vehicle is in a much better condition than when I received it but I am spending no more.

I feel incredibly sorry for the customer service staff who are clearly trying to earn a living during what is an extremely difficult time for them with the company being placed into administration- no one deserves to lose their job, however from my experience and investigation of others it was simply a matter of time for this company.

I have just been informed by the administrators that the car loan centre/assets exchange ltd has completely dissolved. This been they cannot legally do anymore business.

It also means that possibly the shareholders and investors may want to sell all the assets. I.e cars, garages, offices.

Be very careful with this company at the minute.

Myself wonnt be making anymore payments untill I've had a full discussion with the administrators about what is going on.

We sincerely apologise for the delay in communicating our current situation to you.

As you are aware, the Asset Exchange (T/A The Car Loan Centre) have been experiencing difficulties recently and on the 28th of February 2024 we were unfortunately placed into administration by the High Court of Justice with Ian Corfield, Geoff Rowley and Glyn Mummery of FRP Advisory Trading Limited appointed as joint administrators.

Despite these challenges, we want to assure our existing customers that minimal disruption is expected for those that continue to pay for their car finance. Our team, along with the administrators, are committed to helping customers maintain their contractual payments as usual.

Failure to maintain payments could negatively impact credit scores and risk the loss of vehicle possession.

Kind regards,
The Car Loan Centre

The are not informing there customers about how to make payments to them or letting them no what the future lies ahead.. I will not be making anymore payments until they tell customers what’s going on terrible and have a good mind to report them to ombudsman also and get compensation for this as it’s causing me anxiety and stress

It’s a shame I have to give them a 1…

It’s a shame I have to give them a 1 star, as at the start of buying the Vehicle it’s was a 5 star process.

Unfortunately after I received the vehicle, that’s when the problem started, within 2 months the was a large list of problems with the car. Unfortunately they have refused to pick the car up and have requested me to take it to a garage to get it repaired I took it over 2 months ago a land they just keep saying they have received the quote.

I have now tried to reject the vehicle and return it for a full refund and then I’ve just ignored my email and just keep asking me to send it to a garage to be repaired.

They seem to be selling any vehicle they can just get from auction without prepping them for sale first like a normal garage.

They sold the vehicle without any service history. And then sold me an £800 warranty package. But without a service history to show the vehicle has been maintained it’s worthless.

They have also sold the vehicle without a locking wheel nut so when I got a puncher, I had to pay for recovery to a garage.

For all the Morons that have said that they have had no contact from anyone at the Car loan Centre please look at the website ( they probably cannot read) it says very clearly that the company has gone into administration therefore they will not able to contact “ customers “ only the administrators are able to do that, the employees were told that there was an IT issue that was being resolved by an outside company, the people talking about fraud should try paying their bills and clearing their debts and then they would be able to get regulation finance like the responsible majority of the general public do so stop moaning Scroats ,most of you were lucky to even get your applications looked at never mind approved .

I would NOT recommend!

I would NOT recommend!

Approved with this company, paid around £500 upfront, over £1000 for comprehensive car insurance as per their instructions, paid for train tickets and accommodation due to the distance to collect the car.

Day before I should of collected, this was cancelled due to a 'system issue'. The collection rescheduled for the following week, travel and accommodation changed and again, the day before cancelled again due to another system issue.

Almost two month has passed, limited correspondence from this company.

Turns out, the company has gone into administration. I believe now there was NO system issue!

Spoke with them to be told their accounts have been frozen, they're unable to give me a refund of my money and I would have to speak to the administration company!

Today I have spoken with the FCA, The Financial Ombudsman and Citizens Advice in regards to these, one of them actually said "this company again?" I was not surprised.

Keep well away!

Don’t waste your time!

Honestly wouldn’t bother!

I got accepted over a month ago now and along with everyone else you see writing the bad reviews there is no help and all you get told is ‘we’re having IT issues.’ I’ve tried to contact them regarding my application that has been accepted to find out what is actually going on and no one answers the phone.

Don’t let them fool you into thinking you are going to get a car or even anything other than wasted time because that’s really all you’re doing. I would advise that you get yourself a cheap run around and save to get something that you will actually get.

No matter what your situation is there is nothing they will do due to ‘IT issues’ but they can still accept you, reserve your car, post new cars and allow you to sit there waiting on a car that your relying on for work, family and any other reason.

Really wouldn’t be surprised to see this company fall through with the way they have been with their ‘happy customers’ (not).

All in all save your money and time because they don’t actually help but they waste your time and give you false hope. Please consider that every negative review is exactly the same which shows that it is a recurring theme and odds are it WILL happen to you.

What absolute joke this company is…

What absolute joke this company is Applied got accepted sold my old car to pay for the handling fee and delivery fee plus I payed a extra £300 to swap cars on my insurance ready for delivery to the new one I’ve been waiting for well over a month so now im basically paying for car insurance for a car I don’t even own it’s not just me that’s suffered it’s my kids to not being able to get back and forth to nursery you could of at least give the cars out to people that’s already signed the agreement I rang up once a week still the same thing IT issues but they was still putting new cars on the website and letting people apply knowing they still had IT issues tbh I’m glad I didn’t get the car because they don’t even put new MOT’s on the cars I knew this company wasn’t genuine the moment I received a email after I applied asking for me to leave a review for a chance to win a £100 gift card and they would get half if won so if your reading this don’t bother save for your own car

You have made my life a misery as I said above at least give the cars out to the people that have already signed best thing u can do until you sort things out

Paid £399 deposit mid January

Paid £399 deposit mid January. It’s now mid February and still no car due to “IT issues”
Any other company would have this fixed within hours, it’s been 3 weeks and they are still having issues. It’s an absolute joke. When I call they are not helpful at all, I get the same old rubbish. I’ve sold my old car due to a lady called Maisie telling me it was more or less ready for collection only 2 days after I’ve paid the deposit, of which I was ok with. Now I’ve got no car at all. Service has been absolutely appalling!
