Overpriced, dreadful service
Overpriced run-of-the-mill menu. After 2 hours our main course hadn't arrived so I left hungry.

Overpriced run-of-the-mill menu. After 2 hours our main course hadn't arrived so I left hungry.
Good service but food was disappointing. Not much flavour, and chicken was dry.
Went to this restaurant in Covent Garden. Food is alright, though not great but service is horrible. "Rude" is a kind word. A Waiter saw me and signalled me to go in with him but the other Waiter raised up his voice at me and demanded me to wait. After eating, I asked the same Waiter: May I have the bill please? He simply turned his face away without responding. But he later brought the bill to me, meaning that his ears could hear.
I went to Thai Square restaurant, in Putney, beside the River Thames, with friends for a meal and ordered Crispy Sweet and Sour Chicken (though I cannot remember the exact name of the dish) and rice. However the chicken in crispy coating was not made from 'chicken like' pieces of meat, such as chicken thighs or chicken breast but rather strange bits. The sweet and sour source was nice but I recommend they use more tender identifiable meat.
What happened to the white table clothes and Thai attire? You have cheapened Thai food and wine. Low cost ingredients. Sack the chef!! Does he want to it me into a diabetic coma? Surely you can afford better handwash. ? What happened to the pretty orchards? The wine is so unpalatable and cheap as part of tasting menu. How I wish I saved my pennies and went to McDonald’s. The staff were nice. But looked very drab. What on earth happened? Shocking !!!
Previously eaten at this restaurant ( and other Thai Restaurants ), many times when visiting St. Albans and not at all bad. However, our family party of nine, booked in reasonably early on a recent Friday night and we were unimpressed with our experience, to say the least. Initially, apart from the man on the door, the traditional Thai welcome and service was lacking. Although, all orders were placed together at the same time, food arrived piece meal with some dishes arriving cold! Those that were cold were sent back for heating, eventually re-arrived but portions were now much smaller, this process took so long that the rice dishes were now cold and so the cycle went on. One of our party however had been waiting throughout all this time for his main to arrive, which it did just as everyone else was finishing! Food average, price above average, service below average. Change of ownership? Bad management? Disorganised Kitchen?
We recently visited this location for lunch on a Saturday, we booked a table for 12:00 when the venue opens and had the place to ourselves for our seating. The food was very fresh and served promptly with time to finish our starters before receiving our mains. My only concern was the venue was very warm, there was an air conditioning unit on but it was still quite stuffy. The services was friendly and we spent approximately 1.15 hours - this included two sharing starters and two mains. This was at The Strand location.
Have been eating from the Windsor branch for years. Consistent good food and a good price. Everything has been good quality and fresh. Green Papaya Salad is a must. Absolutely delicious. Polite and professional staff.
Ordered takeaway from the Putney branch via Deliveroo. Food was very disappointing. Some dishes were cold. Starters seemed reheated, heavy and stodgy, tamarind duck was oily and over sweet. Thai beef looked like it was from a kebab shop. Not great for £73 (including a 15% discount) - 1 shared starter, prawn crackers, 3 main dishes and 2 rice. Won’t be ordering from this restaurant again.
