Absolutely terrible experience with Tesco Marketplace.
I ordered 2 foldable mattresses and, weeks later, I still have not received them. For the past 3 weeks, I have been contacting customer service every couple of days, but nothing has been resolved.
Instead of taking responsibility, Tesco repeatedly told me to contact the seller myself. I emailed the seller and received no response. The phone number Tesco provided does not even work. Despite reporting this multiple times, Tesco's customer service continues to give the same generic response: "The seller will contact you in 48 hours." No one has ever contacted me.
What I find most frustrating is the complete lack of accountability. As a customer, I paid through Tesco Marketplace, yet Tesco appears unwilling or unable to help when something goes wrong. After weeks of chasing both Tesco and the seller, I have neither received the products nor a refund.
Customer service has been utterly ineffective, offering nothing but scripted responses and empty promises. No one seems interested in actually resolving the issue.
This has been one of the worst online shopping experiences I have ever had. I will never use Tesco Marketplace again and would strongly advise others to think twice before ordering from third-party sellers through this platform

I ordered a room cooler through Market place from Neo Direct. It was delivered by evri. The badly damaged box was placed by the delivery man so that he could photo it without the damaged showing. That meant we have a photo of it delivered with the box upside down. On setting the cooler up we found the fan didn't work and the electrics just got very hot. I contacted Tesco but they didn't want to know told me to contact the seller. I paid my money to Tesco so surely they were the seller. I emailed the seller via tesco but have heard nothing. I phoned the seller but the lines were busy and I was told they would phone me back, that was 5 days ago. I phoned again today but had to leave my number again. I will never use Tesco marketplace again they are only interested in grabbing your money and offer no customer service at all.

Clubcard price scamming children
Hi my name is Gary Anderson and I am writing to express my disgust with the club card pricing system and process . On 2 occasions now my DISABLED child has been scammed at tesco express when I sent him to buy goods with cash. I try to teach my child responsibility and occasionally send him with cash to buy goods at the local tesco express. He does not have a bank card and is not authorised to use mine .
Upon returning the other day I was disgusted with the lack of goods we got for £20. I was expecting maybe £10 expenditure. He explained that he had to pay full price as he didnt have club card and had to put some items back. Embarrassed he was
Surely there should be a process in place for minors to be protected against SCAMS like the clubcard pricing. Surely COMMON SENSE on behalf of the adult staff should have ensued

They failed to deliver twice for the same order.
The inconvenience this has caused me is massive.
I ordered a 12 pack of still water amongst other items which is essential for my health condition fibromyalgia which is a chronic disease and I have to drink at least 1.5 litres per day to function.
Shame on you.

On Saturday 06/06/2026 I visited the Tesco Store on Hawthorn Road, Kingstanding, West Midlands. I am a frequent visitor to this branch because of the excellent customer service that Chrissy (Manager) and all of the staff provide. There is always someone on the shop floor to assist you. Each and every member of staff seem happy to be there which is a pleasure to see. The staff are extremely helpful and polite. On one occasion I accidentally left my bag behind which contained my phone. Not expecting to see it again, I was over the moon when returning to Tesco with my ID, Alfie handed me both my phone and my bag. The Manager Chrissy is so lovely and helpful and is always working really hard, be it checking dates, reducing the price of goods that are out of date on that day, filling shelves,assisting customers or serving on the till, she always goes "above and beyond" Chrissy is an exceptional Manager who "leads by example"

This is a review of Tesco Marketplace as distinct from Tesco grocery deliveries. They could not be more different.
Tesco Marketplace products are shown on the online grocery website but are not delivered with your groceries. Your order is passed on to a third party supplier who have control over when and how the item is delivered. Truth is, Tesco have no involvement once you have paid and the order placed.
You cannot change or modify the order up till the evening of the day before delivery is due, as you can with Tesco Grocery deliveries.
From personal experience, I recommend avoiding Marketplace products.
Otherwise, Tesco on line groceries have been excellent.

Absolutely appalled by the service I have received from Tesco Twickenham.
Our grocery delivery arrived with multiple tins covered in dead insects around the seams. I immediately contacted Tesco to report what I believe is a serious food hygiene issue and was assured that someone from the Twickenham branch would contact me to discuss the matter.
Despite being told this, nobody got in touch.
The lack of urgency and follow-up is almost as concerning as the contamination itself. Finding dead insects in our order is bad enough, but being ignored after raising a legitimate food safety concern is completely unacceptable.

Visited the store yesterday morning (06/06/2026) around 09:30...long story short...on the cooked meat isle looking for sandwich fillers, couldn't find the cooked Turkey slices that I was after. I spoke with Khan who was stocking the shelves, he couldn't find any either. I continued my shop and about 10 minutes later I was met by Khan who was looking for me with Turkey in his hand! What fantastic customer service, I was gobsmacked by his kind gesture.
Please relay my thanks to him, I do hope that he gets recognised for the service he gave and for lifting my day with such a thoughtful thing to do.

Disabled pensioner goes hungry!!!
I would give a minus in stars if able. I am a 70 year old disabled man. I live in a HMO on second floor. Without assistance of somebody I can use stairs.
I use TESCO WHOOSH about 2-3 times a week normally very good. Saturday 06/06/26 I place a £45.00 order.
Person rang my bell I pressed the phone to let him in. But no he live the 2 bags out in the rain on doorstep. It’s a busy road I live on people coming up from the beach.
I cannot get to my shopping I have no family near or friends.
Looking out the window I saw my shopping stolen. I could do nothing.
Thing is courier always brings shopping to my flat, but not this time!! WHY?
I rang Tesco to speak to store manager went to ansafone.
Spoke to a young lady in dept Whoosh at TESCO. Of 6 questions I asked her 5 answers were negative responses.
Positive response I can refund you your money in 1-5 days. I am on a tight budget no spare cash. So until that money comeback I have no food. Well done TESCO for using useless couriers.

However if you dont have a receipt you are entitled to exchange the product this woman is accusing me of being rude a girl at the customer service desk who really didn't have a clue what she was doing zi waited politely for her to finish the customer she was dealing with I stepped aside so the customers behind me can get served as this guy took my product to speak to very disrespectful woman
This woman rushed up in my face invading my space which is kind of assault shouting at the top of her voice at me saying I was rude to the girl she had real bad breath so I move the she started shouting get out get out even though I was leaving as though she wad crazy calling security for no reason
Avoid Tesco at the Rushes like the plaige been shopping there for 20 years she told me not to come back proper power trip

Exceptional Help from Alison.
I had a very positive experience in Tesco Merrion Centre, Dublin, on 22.05.2026. Alison, the Operations Manager, was exceptionally kind, helpful and professional. She went out of her way to assist me, and rather than just pointing in the general direction of an item, she accompanied me and provided personal, attentive help, which was much needed and appreciated. Where a product was unavailable, she offered thoughtful and practical advice about suitable alternatives.
What stood out most was Alison’s patience, warmth and genuine willingness to help. Her support made my shopping experience much easier and far more pleasant. She is a real credit to Tesco Merrion Centre.

Visited Tesco at Sunderland Extra the customer service was very poor .2checkouts on Saturday afternoon queues down the isles .Asked for Dtore manager to complain was told could not speak to her .Nobody seemed to be interested in helping to resolve this .Had to go to customer service to get a duty manager who explained the checkout supervisor was no doing his job properly,should have called for more people to help .He explained that there were 15 people on the shop floor checkout trained .The checkout assistant told us that there was no more staff so someone is not telling the truth.The service in this store has gone down rapidly over the past couple of months but today is just disgusting to say the least.We spend over £100 every week but not anymore will go elsewhere in future .
