Customer service even worse than the products
If you read customer reviews here and see the reply from Tesa you might get the impression that they will solve your problem, if you just do the effort to contact them.
Well no... if you thought their products are bad, you should try their customer service!
I bought tape on April 12th and the quality was really horrible. Using it was such a frustrating experience, it was impossible to use it with a tape dispenser (also from Tesa).
The tape constantly stuck to the dispenser, so I had to apply some force to make it 'roll', and as a result, way too much tape suddenly came off, or it came out crooked from the roller and got crumpled. All the time. I spent more time fumbling with it than actually sealing boxes, and had to throw away way more crumpled tape than I could really use...
I wrote them to complain on April 23rd. They replied 3 days later and said that I had to send them a picture of the product and the sales receipt. So I did the next day, April 27th.
On May 7th they replied and said they sent me a replacement product.
Nothing arrived. On June 18th I wrote them again saying I didn't receive anything.
They replied the next day saying that on May 6th they delivered tape to my home address.
I asked they with which company they sent it and if they had a tracking number.
And then they come up with a different story. They say the tapes came back to them instead of the story that it was delivered to me.
They asked me if I'm sure of my own address.
And that they had re-sent tape to me. This was June 25th.
Again I asked for a tracking number and they say they didn't have any because they sent it with ordinary post.
So... how could they know that it was delivered to me if they sent it with ordinary post, without a tracking number? Which decent company nowadays doesn't work with a parcel delivery service that has tracking numbers etc?
On July 7th still nothing and I send them yet another mail. Again they reply the tape was returned to them and ask me to re-confirm my address.
The feeling I get is that they never sent me anything and that their customer service is outright lying, and just keep you hanging on until you give up.
And this for a pack of 3 tapes which cost € 12.99! (€ 4.33/tape)
So I gave up, this demanded way too much energy from me.
I finally bought some cheap tape in an Action store for about € 1.60/tape (+60% cheaper!) which is of decent quality.
This experience with their "customer service" made sure that I will never buy Tesa again, and I will actively discourage people from buying it.
