Order Cancelled

As with the previous reviewers, my order was cancelled with no explanation given. Waited a week, until the day it was due for delivery though! No answers to emails and phone to voicemail.
Wish I'd looked here before ordering!
Still my payment was also cancelled, so it could have been worse.

Going (Gone!) out of business?

My order has been stalled at "pending" for more than a week, emails and tweets go unanswered, their main telephone number just goes to voicemail.

I was surprised when I placed my order, as most of the things I wanted were shown as out of stock, and it looks like this is why...

The business reports web sites show Tekheads in liquidation at their previous Lincoln address (they moved to nearby Gainsborough in March, according to Twitter), so it is not clear what is happening.

I suggest caution until the company's status is confirmed.

[Update] And then, just as with the previous reviewer, my order was cancelled with no explanation. They still haven't replied to my emails or Tweets, and the main phone number still goes straight to voicemail - I think it is safe to assume that the company is now out of business.

[2nd Update] Yes, Companies House now shows Tekheads to be in liquidation, since February 2016. So the fact that their web site is still accepting orders, taking payments, and hanging on to the money for days or weeks until the customers complain, is pretty scandalous!

Don't fall for what still purports to be an active business:

[3rd Update - January 2019] Amazingly, the TekHeads web site is still online and still has a working shopping basket. A keen eye will notice that the stock is now well out of date, but it seems to exist now only as a trap for the unwary. Avoid at all costs!

Glad I found these guys

Very happy that I found these guys, I ordered a vertagear chair from Tekheads and was very impressed with how they dealt with the sale. It was nice to have a a responsive and personal customer service experience. I will be back to use Tekheads again.

Great service again

I've been using Tekheads for a while now and have always found them very professional and their service excellent. I will without doubt be using them again for future purchases and be recommending them to colleagues & friends.

Excellent Build Quality

Ordered a Gaming PC from the guys at Tekheads and it arrived super quick and believe me the cable tidying was unbelievably neat.
I feel i have my own one off custom PC for a fraction of the cost of the competitors.

Poor customer service, bad communication

After a Hitachi Deskstar Hard Drive I purchased from Tekheads that came with a standard (global) 3yr warranty failed in its 2nd year I tried to return it directly to the manufacturer only to find it was a US model and that I had to "contact the supplier".

Tekheads completely ignored my first two emails and then when I called them they initially said they'd replace it before changing their mind and flatly refusing to help stating that THEY only gave a 1 year warranty.

Thankfully I've now managed to get it exchanged via a friend who lives in the States - I definitely won't be using Tekheads again.

Free Delivery and Great Prices

I've been using Tekheads on and off since 2003. I haven't had many problems during that time apart from a hard drive that failed nearly 2 years into its warranty, however that was replaced via the Manufacturer with the help of Tekheads.

My latest order for a XFX Radeon HD7970 arrived the next day and with Free delivery it was a bargain! I cannot recommend enough if you want great prices coupled with free delivery (assuming you spend more than £50).

Fast delivery, low price and good communication

After spending a lot of time hunting around for a graphics card Tekheads had the best price. Having never ordered from them before I had some concerns but as it turned out I had nothing whatsoever to worry about. Order was confirmed immediately, a few hours later another email to let me know it was 'being picked' followed by an email confirming despatch - all within a few hours of ordering. The graphics card arrived the following day by RM Special Delivery. Installed and working perfectly. I have no hesitation recommending them.

Terrible customer service

I returned a faulty item to Tekheads for replacement, after having read the FAQs about returns and seeing that "the normal turn around for returned items is 3-5 working days".
8 days after Tekheads received the return, I emailed them to ask to be updated on the status as I had heard nothing from them at all. I received a one-line reply with a spelling mistake and no punctuation, saying it had been returned to the manufacturer for replacement.
6 days later I emailed again to be updated, again having heard nothing. I received no reply, and emailed the day after to ask for a reply. I was told "hi this is at thermaltake in europe at present we are chasing them at present".
4 days later I had still not been willingly updated, and decided that I had been waiting too long. I informed an employee that if I didn't receive a replacement within the next week then I didn't want it, and I would like a refund so I could buy elsewhere. I was told that a replacement had been shipped to them, and they should receive it shortly.
7 days later and I have still received no update and no replacement. It has been 26 days (19 working days) since they received the faulty item and I have not once seen an apology for how long I have had to wait, an update that wasn't asked for, or even a grammatically correct reply.
The only positive in this review is that I asked for a refund if a replacement wasn't being shipped today; a few hours later I have a refund!
I can safely say I will never be buying from this retailer again, and will warn anyone I know from it as well.

Cheapest supplier for what I was looking for & I received my parcel within 24 hours of placing the order even though I picked 3-5 day free post.

Excellent Service - I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I've been using Tekheads for 5 years now and have found there service to be the best in the industry. Today one of my hard drives failed so I sent it back and was issued a replacement withing the hour. Can't fault them and their website is nice and clean to use. Thanks guys. - Jamie Scott
