I got the app for Taptap on my mobile to send funds to my cousin who is the live in caregiver to my 92 year old mom in Manila. I fiiled out all needed information to open an account. For precaution I sent $10.00 first. That went through without a hitch. Let me also say I usually use REMITLY for years now but the exchange rate is always lower. So i'm happy to find out that Taptap has a little better echange rate to my dollar. The first try ( $10.00) went through . So I made a second one for $190.00 ( I normally send $200 every month plus extras ) sent to my cousin and it immediately declined it and said my account was suspended and to contact Taptap. So I emailed them and asked why was my account suspended. I got a reply in minutes asking who is this person I am sending to. What Is the relation and why am I sending her funds. WOW !! So ok I replied and gave them all the answers and waitied ..and waited..and waited.. Well I got tired of waiting for their reply and I just went back to sending my funds through REMITLY ..My last email to them I asked them to delete/remove my information from their data base, and delete my cousins information with it. I was flustered and very disappointed. If they do not want my business that's ok. they have every right. I do not recommend and will not recommend them to my friends and family.

I used to love this app because its was free of cost to transfer the money to any country but 28.05.2026, they start cherging £0.99. I believe they gone famous now thats why they have start charging. I have found another app which doesn't charge to transfer any amount. So i wont use this anymore
