Have been with TalkTalk for years. However as of late it really has lost the expertise it once had in resolving issues. Y/Day my mail account was Hacked leaving me unable to log in. It took hours on the phone speaking to 4 different " experts" who constantly switched me to about. It took a further few hours using the internet chatting to another 3 different people AND STILL i cannot get into my mail? I made a complaint & was told a complaints manager would contact me asap. ---am still waiting? So a total of over 5 hours & a varied amount of "Experts" & still unable to log in yo my mail. Disgusying!

I have been a TalkTalk customer for over 10 years. The internet has been a problem in the past, but since fibre has been introduced, the internet problem has mostly gone. I also have a phone line with them. When they started introducing a charge for CallSafe last December, I removed it from my package. In March, after receiving many scam calls, I contacted TalkTalk and asked to reinstate it, which cost me more, but saved my stress levels. (I am 77) Since then, I have contacted TalkTalk a number of times with no resolution to my issue. The phone line has not been altered since the fibre connection has been in place and nothing has changed since the CallSafe was discontinued, yet on my last call, I was told that it is unavailable to my phone. I did try to explain that the phone line hasn’t been altered since last December, but no solution found. I will wait until my contract ends, then go to a provider who actually tries to look after it’s customers.

I have been a TalkTalk customer for over 20 years and have only had to get in touch on a few occasions, but every time that I do, my concerns are always dealt with quickly and efficiently.

My father passed away and my mother had a problem with her broadband. Trying to speak to TalkTalk was a nightmare. Ended up having to drive 220 miles to try and resolve the issues at mum’s house. TalkTalk were unsympathetic, unhelpful and each person we were passed over to during a 2.5 hour conversation was impossible to understand. If we had any choice we would move to another provider instantly. Dreadful service - AVOID

UPDATE I am now really not happy as they have charged me nearly double on this months bill, just received an email.Trying to get somebody to call me back is impossible. They seem happy to take your money, but then not bother when you are questioning the billing.

If in business or relie on Internet then DON'T TOUCH. If you struggle to not talk to a real person then DON'T TOUCH. This company is bottom of the barrel and now getting under the barrel. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

My partner cancelled our broadband as we moved house. The contract states that it can be cancelled, with a termination charge, which my we are happy to pay. They harassed, threatened and bullied my partner repeatedly, refusing to comply with the cancellation, making absurd statements such as that only the new house residents can cancel the broadband and insisting that the contract must continue. They reduced my partner to tears. They continued to try to take payments.

Worst customer service ever! It’s been 4 days without broadband and they haven’t even cared to come and fix it. Such a horrible experience.

I was with Talk Talk for nearly 2 years. The broadband service was okay, but the customer service is very poor.
When it came time to renew, they wanted to put the monthly charge up from £28 to £44.
That price was to keep the old router, with no upgrade of any kind.
I contacted them and said that price was a joke, and they came back with £38. I again said no and told them to cancel my contract, because I could get broadband elsewhere for £26, same speed, new router.
They said that was the best they could do and let me cancel.
Before I finished the chat with the customer service rep, I basically said "please put a note on the account not to contact me with a better offer, if you can't give me your best price now, I'm not interested and I'm not playing that game".
After cancelling I received 19 calls from them in 3 days, with a lot of the calls being silent.
I had to threaten them with Ofcom and contacting the Police for harassment to get them to stop ringing, despite telling them via chat 3 times and via phone twice to stop calling me. A total joke of a company, who don't reward loyalty and harass you when you cancel.

Have had problems with internet slowing/dropping for the last 5-6 weeks, reported issues and completed tests etc as requested without success, have recently needed to add a safeguard alarm for my 86 year old mother, which requires a continuous connection to the internet so the personal alarm could contact the control centre, I managed to contact the tech team who said the needed to do a line test and would report back to me, nothing came, then a link was sent to resolve our problem via WhatsApp, after 3.5 hours yes 3.5 hours ( only because I became bloody minded did I continue) still without success, then I had a reply stating they were closed and I could continue my discussion in 11.5 hours, does this company not care about an 86 year old lady that has trusted and paid without question this company, in light of my experience as her son in law, I say not one bit, you should never trust this company with the safety of your elderly family members.

Awful customer service. Took over 2 hours and still can't register. Avoid at all cost.

I cannot recommend this service based on my experience.
Following the switch to Full Fibre, my Digital Voice service stopped working after just one day. I was then told it would take several days to fix, leaving me without a reliable landline.
To make matters worse, the company is refusing to provide the free one-hour Battery Backup Unit (BBU) despite Ofcom's requirements to protect customers (where relevant) who rely on their landline during power cuts.
A unreliable service and disappointing customer support have made this a very frustrating experience. I expected far better.

Atrocious customer service. Spent more than an hour trying to cancel the account on the online chat after attempts at trying to sell me full fibre broadband, which isn't available in my area, and also trying to decrease the cost, still above that of their competitors. I was finally transferred to the cancellation team. Then took more than 40 minutes before I had a response. Thankfully, I was able to get through to the team by telephone instead, though the entire process felt incredibly anti-consumer, and TalkTalk should be ashamed of this.

paying for 500mbps only getting 90 at most now. Been this way for weeks. Still the case. This far below the minimum much the advertised 500.
