My girlfriend and I bought an offer for a stay here online. The photo on the add showed a Castle witch made us think that we would be staying in there . This was not the case, the spa resort is next to the castle in newer buildings.
Nevertheless, we were pleasantly surprised by the hotel and the room.
The bed was amazing and the room big enough us to be comfortable .
The spa has three hot pools and one sauna . No steam bath or jacuzzis.
Still quite nice and you can order drinks and snacks on your phone via QR codes .
Our bad experience started at dinner .
We had the Mediterranean tasting menu.
4 small starters for sharing, 2 mains and 1 dessert.
One of the starters being a peace of bread with some garlic cream with sliced cucumber they called a tzatziki.
My main course (secreto) was full of lemon and chilli no balance in the dish with some mayo spread around the plate . I didn’t finish.
My girlfriend had the fish, very small but better the meat.
It took 2 hours and 15 minutes before dessert was served. We brought it to the room because dinner was so long we wanted to use some more time in the spa before it closed for the night.
Next morning
We get waken up by drilling in the room on top of us and another one a bit further down the hall.
The noise was unbearable. We go down to the restaurant to eat some breakfast (very good)
We then get changed and go to the spa before having a good time.
We then go back to the room to have a nap . Impossible to sleep from drilling, tools banging. We left the room with a headache and felt unrelaxed and angry.
At checkout we tell the receptionist that we have had a bad experience, woken up early. We only got at sorry.
That is just not good enough. We spent around 400 euros on this stay to have a nice and relaxing getaway.
This was absolutely not the case.
This establishment lacs customer service and a compensation would have been the way to handle this .
Heavy maintenance should be done after check out. This is absolutely unacceptable.
The castle is also under construction with scaffolding on the whole backside facing the sea.
I would have loved to say we had a lovely stay, but we really didn’t. The noise ruined the whole experience.
