Athens Texas often closed, no way to contact

I drove into Athens Texas twice last week to wash my truck, I pay a unlimited membership, both times wash bay was closed. That is 30 miles round trip, 2 gallons of gas each wasted! Find no where on website to get assist and no answer on phone calls!!!

Unprofessional - Not willing to deliver

On 2/28/2026, I purchased a 6‑month Carwash Package for Unlimited Triple Clean. I brought the receipt to your State Street location in New Albany, Indiana. Your employee was unable to assign my car to a transponder because I previously had a membership under a different vehicle but the same phone number.

He told me he would get this corrected and gave me the transponder. The next time I came for a wash, the transponder did not work. I was told again to keep the transponder and that the issue would be fixed. Yesterday, I attempted to get a car wash and the transponder still did not work. This time, the employee informed me that my account had been terminated.

I paid for a 6‑month package and was only able to receive two washes because employees manually accepted my receipt. How would you like to resolve this? Am I able to receive a refund? At this point, your service has not provided what I paid for.

TAKE 5 CAR WASH SUCKS

The car was never cleans my car good and most of their vacuums in the detail center don't work. I received an email saying my membership fee was going up $20/month (I was grandfathered into a discounted plan but they don't allow that discount anymore so it makes it $20 instead of $10). I went into the store to cancel my membership. The employee confirmed it was canceled, I got charged 2 days later and its been over a week now and I have not been able to contact anyone about my refund. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH TAKE 5!!!!!

Misleading sales, unauthorized billing, deceptive support, and management that does not follow through. Avoid this place.

They stole my money. We were sold a $30 membership and explicitly told it included 2 cars with unlimited washes. We were told to just bring my daughter’s car back later to add it and get a sticker.

When my wife went back, the employee said she only needed my card to look up the account. Instead, they charged my card for a second vehicle without properly disclosing the charge, the amount, or getting authorization. When questioned, the manager said that was the cost of the second car — directly contradicting what we were told when they signed us up. We canceled on the spot, and the manager said both cars would be canceled and refunded. That never happened. The second car was never even used because the manager kept the pass/sticker since he said he was canceling it immediately.

Their support was just as bad. I called their support line 3 times and got nothing but the runaround. They said they had to pass my issue to another team they would not let me speak to directly. That team emailed me false claims saying we used the wash and weren’t entitled to a refund. When I explained that the second car was never used because the manager never even gave us the pass since he was supposed to cancel and refund it immediately, they ignored me until I called support again. I also called the local wash 3 times asking for the manager and never got a callback.

After over a week of back-and-forth, false information, and no resolution, I had to file a dispute with my bank.

I think they purposely do not cancel your account

I was moving out of state and started working on canceling my membership to the carwash a month ahead of time. I was asked for a lot of information that one would not want out there for everyone to see, then I was ghosted. I wrote again and they told me that my particular membership was sold to another company. That company told me that I was not sold to them and to contact take 5. I went back and forth twice on this whole matter and that took 3 weeks. Finally, I get an email saying the same thing again...that my contract was sold. I had forwarded them the email, I had sent the letter to BOTH of the companies at the same time, but still got the same garbage answers. Finally...ghosted again. I had to call my bank and change my card AGAIN so they couldn't get any money from it. I do not recommend a company this inept at canceling a membership. I even asked if I could use it in the new state I was moving to and I wouldn't have canceled it. Apparently that was too much for them to answer. Pathetic. I spent way too much time on this.

Take 5 is a joke! Avoid at all costs!

We made the mistake of signing up for the monthly service for unlimited washes. The washes at the location we used to go to have consistently declined. Machinery is regularly not working and we come out with the car still dirty. We tried going to a different location hoping the machinery was in working order and we'd get a better wash. Big mistake! Half way through the wash our tire sensor came on and by the time we exited we had a flat. We told the employees and they just apologized and shrugged. They told us to get it repaired then bring back the bill so they could make a damage report. We took the car to get the tire repaired immediately after and it turns out the Take 5 machinery ripped off our tire valve completely. We needed a new valve and re-inflation of the tire. It cost $140 for the repairs. We went right back to Take 5 and filed out a damage report with photos and a copy of the repair bill. We were told the location manager would contact us the next day. That was 3 weeks ago. I've called customer service and they told me to email the location manager and the district manager. I emailed both of them and the location manager responded by claiming she sent the damage report to the damage claims dept and it is now out of her hands. The district manager has not responded to my email. I've called customer service multiple times since and keep getting the same answer - we'll email the damage claim dept and ask them to contact you with the status of your claim. I asked for phone numbers for the district manager and the damage claim dept and conveniently they claim there are no phone numbers. This company is a joke. Do yourself a favor and avoid Take 5!

I came to the Summerville Take5 carwash…

I came to the Summerville Take5 carwash on Dorchester Road in February 2025, got the RFID sticker 958962518, and put in a cancellation request 03/29/25. It's been charging me for the last 11 months. I demand a refund of $17 x 11 = $187. I will escalate this. Put me in contact with someone who can refund the money. Horrible service.

Had a complaint about management…

Had a complaint about management non-response to the situation. Received an e-mail that stated "rest assured you will receive a response from the Districe and Local management shortly". 14 days passed and no "response" from anyone at Take 5. Cancelled membership and enrolled with Tommy's Express Car Wash.

Ripped my mirror off and they won't even acknowledge me

I bought a membership and took my car through for a quick wash. The car wash ripped my driver side mirror off. After I order the attendant and he retrieved my mirror from the car wash I filed a complaint with the manager on shift. She took down all the details and told me somebody from HR would contact me about resolving the issue. That's been a month ago now. No initial phone call and nobody's answering my calls. This is unbelievable at this point

Very poor service

I had a membership when they opened and at first was happy with the service, however after a somewhat short period they began not opening for reasons such as snow, break downs etc, I had driven there on four different occasions and they were closed during normal operating hours so I cancelled with the attendant who took my information in the office and said he would give it to the manager, which he did, I called to confirm it was cancelled and the manager said yes he was doing it.. one year later my wife looked at that auto deducted card we never use and asked me why I have a car wash on it when I also have Tommy's car wash, which I joined the same week I canceled take5, so I contacted them for a refund and they refused saying it was my responsibility! They said two months refund final offer. I advised them I do not use the card and everything I have is on auto deduct and auto pay and since I never used that card and did verify with their management it wasn't my responsibility to be sure they do their job.

Brought my new truck into a Take 5 car…

Brought my new truck into a Take 5 car wash, while going through the car wash I heard a thump on my roof. Upon completion of car wash I examined my vehicle and found a small dent on my roof. I contacted the on site manager and reviewed the tape prior to entering the car wash. He indicated that he did not see a dent in my roof prior to me entering the car wash. He indicated he would file a claim in my behalf. Take 5 denied the claim, since this has happened 2 more vehicles were damaged at the same car wash. Take 5 does not take care of their customers and continue to deny everyones claim.
