Pet death
Considered this company to look after my bundle of joy, but after reading they were entrusted with someone else’s pup, walked it in the extreme heat and left it for 3.5 hours (for it to very sadly pass away), I’ve looked elsewhere. Beware

We entrusted our healthy, happy two-year-old Goldendoodle, Poppy, to Tailz ‘n’ Trailz for an overnight stay on 19th June. Just hours later, we received the devastating phone call that she had died while in their care.
Since then, we have obtained the boarder’s written account and the veterinary records. According to the boarder’s own statement, Poppy was left unattended for approximately three and a half hours before being found at 2:26pm. She was taken to the vets, where she was pronounced deceased on arrival. The veterinary records state that she arrived with no heartbeat, fixed dilated pupils and a significantly elevated body temperature.
We have also since learned that Poppy was reportedly taken for a walk despite us being told that walks had been cancelled because of the extreme heat. We were also informed that CCTV reviewed by the business showed Poppy panting and appearing restless for a prolonged period before she died. These are questions we have raised with the relevant licensing authority, which has confirmed that it is investigating the circumstances surrounding her death.
Poppy was much more than a pet; she was a beloved member of our family. Our little boy lost his best friend that day, and our lives have been changed forever.
We are sharing our experience so that other pet owners can make an informed decision before entrusting their own beloved dogs to this business.
