They are absolute garbage & Scammers

I wish I could give this company and Big River Financial a negative rating, because even one star is a joke. This has been the most frustrating and unprofessional mess I have ever dealt with not to mention that they already own me over $7000.00 SMH!
They are experts at dodging calls and ignoring emails whenever you actually need help, yet they are magically available the second it is time to sneak another hidden fee out of your account. It is clear they care more about squeezing every cent out of people than actually providing a decent service.
Their staff is incompetent, their communication is nonexistent, and their business practices are straight-up shady. Do not fall for their lies or their polished sales pitch. If you value your sanity and your bank account, stay as far away from these scammers as possible. They are absolute garbage.

Will not pay on time and will not answer phone calls or emails.

As being an owner of Elite Transport Specialists I encourage anyone to not factor with this company. They charge $6 invoice fee and monthly fees not listed on the contract. They will breach your contract by not paying on time. If you have an issue they will respond that they will look into it or to contact someone else and no one ever does anything. As of now they owe me 3 loads that have been processed over 2 weeks ago and no one answers. No response through email or phone number. Stay away from tafs so your business won’t suffer from being at risk of going out of business.

This company is predatory and no moral for industry standards

This company is predatory. I’ve had no knowledge of a contract with them until I informed them I would seek other options and was told I was in a contract with them from 2022 after several conversations this was not mentioned until I told them I was seeking other options. Not only that they play a dirty game I was already under contract with another factoring when they had me sign a contract with them. How many factoring companies would do that. My information is that you can’t have two factoring companies at the same time so Tafs is clearly in violation. I’ve never factored with this company and never will. If I was already factoring the contract they have should be void none enforcement. They refused to release there self from my UCC as if I’m going to charge my mind. Let it be known that I’m still under contract with another factoring company till date. Tafs is predators and if they can’t be trusted to follow industry standards I wouldn’t trust them with my business period. Change go to steelhead for better service and a company with moral standards in the industry.

Shady business practices

This company illegally changed the bank account information on our account and sent money in our unapplied funds account to another factoring company without our knowledge or authorization. They told us they were waiting to finalize everything and would send to our bank account. When we never received the funds we called to verify the bank account they had on file and this was when we discovered they sent the funds to TAB Bank. They knew this was illegal or had to have known they were committing wire fraud, theft by deception, to name a few criminal acts.

STAY AWAY FROM TAFS Inc.

TAFS reps will call you and ask you for a live video selfie, a copy of your birth certificate, copy of your SS card and copy of your DL.... They refuse to resolve issues timely or if at all.
On 1/15/26 @ 3pm EST, I received a call from a Bernardo Carrillo requesting I provide a copy of my DL, BC, SS card. I said no, my issue is still unresolved. I've been waiting for 3 weeks for them to update my company information, still unresolved. TAFS refuses to update my company's information per my request.

UPDATE: 2/11/26 Issue still hasn't been resolved! I will update when resolved, if it's ever resolved.

The issue would be so simple to correct if they had the option to allow their clients the ability to update banking information on their portal like all other companies provide.

If I could give 0 stars I would. PLEASE if you’re looking for a favoring company, don’t sign with them. Once you sign with them, it’s impossible to get out. You can not talk to no one about how to cancel your contract. They act like they don’t know. Even the supervisor can’t help you. OWNER OF DCREDTRANSPORT LLC.

I will strongly advise anyone to stay away

I will strongly advise anyone to stay away from TAFS, They locked you into a contract and will not let you leave, even though they refuse to purchase your invoices.
What is the point of being in a factoring agreement if the company wont actually buy your invoices? it feels like they're just holding me hostage in a contract instead of providing the services they promised. Very Frustrating and unprofessional

This company has been nothing but a headache. They lock you into a contract and make it nearly impossible to get out, even when they aren’t delivering on their end. They refuse to release me, and instead of helping my business grow, they’ve held it back by not factoring my invoices like they promised.

Every time I’ve tried to resolve the situation, they drag their feet, give vague excuses, and avoid taking responsibility. A factoring company should be a partner that supports your cash flow — not one that traps you in a contract and then fails to perform.

If you’re considering working with them, be very careful. Read the fine print, because once you’re in, they’ll do everything they can to keep you stuck, regardless of how poorly they manage your account. For a small business like mine, this has been costly and frustrating. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Liars

I got their Brochier in the mail and called. The sales Rep Xavier Calahan told me the factoring rate was 3% so I decided not to do it because I saw other companies charge 2% , but then he said Tafs would get me a trailer for $5 -$10/day which I thought was a great deal, so I decide to pay the higher factoring rate than other companies offer because the money I would be saving on a trailer would outweigh the loss on the factoring rate. After I was in the contract, I called Tafs about getting a trailer and they gave me a number to call, (they wouldn't tell me the number until after I signed the contract) and the person there would not rent me trailer, stating that they have not rented trailers for 2 years. So Xavier lied and therefore the contract is null and void. I would take Tafs to court except I didn't record the call so I can't prove anything that was said. He also said that Brokers take 30 days to pay which is a 1/2 truth and a whole lie. Over 80 brokers use triumph pay which means you can get paid in 1 day for usually a 2.5% fee. Most of the brokers who don't use triumph pay have their own quick pay options.

So then I was locked into a 1 year contract with a 50% higher rate than I was going to have, with no benefit. Great.

The actual factoring experience with Tafs was good, if you think waiting 2 business days to get paid and having problems with 30% of your invoices is good! If I submit my paperwork after 12:00pm Central time on Friday, I don't get paid until Tuesday Morning! Numerous times I was stuck sitting unable to make money because I couldn't afford fuel. Their 1 hour advance cost $25 and then you have to pay fees to use it and you don't get any discounts you would otherwise have with other companies. One time I had a broken alternator in 23 degrees, and I had to sit all night in that because they can't get my money to me, I submitted the day before. And you can forget about the 1-hour advance option because it's 9 o clock at night and my bank doesn't open until 8am.

Their app has little value because when you submit a POD, it changes it to black and white, so any gray just vanishes. When they review the POD, they'll say they can't read it and then you will have to re-submit and pay a new transaction fee if you had other invoices in that batch and wait another business day to get paid. I had this issue on about 30% to 50% of invoices. It sure is nice to work directly with brokers now and not have anyone say "your paperwork is not clear"

The reason they lock you in for a year is because no one would stay for over a month if given the choice. Don't even get me started on getting out of the contract. They auto-renew you unless you submit written notice 90-120 days prior to the end of the contract, during which time you will go back into auto re-new status if you submit any invoices that have not already been paid to Tafs by the broker.

About a week before the contract ends, they will email you saying, among other things, that prior to getting you a letter of release, all unpaid invoices must be paid to Tafs, which they were and had been since 8-6. It was 9-3 at this point and my contact was set to end on 9-10 at midnight. It took them until 4 days after the contact had ended to open my account and see that the balance was 0 and send me the letter of release. So I can't buy fuel for 4 days because I was planning on those payments being mailed to me on the 12th, not the 17th. They delayed all my payments for 4 days because it takes them forever to read one number. That makes a total of 10 days of missed work because of them. That is the thanks I get for giving them about 4k in factoring fees, 3 months of which the funds were not even factored because I had to wait until they got paid first! And they have the nerve to refer to me as a valued client. I'm not valued, I'm a sap to them, meant to help them with their agenda.
Now I will take home about $210 more per week not to deal with these clowns. Things are now the way they should have been all along if there was no such thing as lies.
