Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 2,243 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Customers frequently struggle to reach support agents, enduring extremely long hold times and unhelpful automated systems that ultimately fail to resolve problems. Consumers often experience unexpected monthly bill increases, unauthorized account changes, and continuous difficulties trying to fix frustrating payment disputes. Some reviewers were happy with specific staff members who provided friendly assistance and fixed technical issues very quickly. People appreciated when local store employees treated them with genuine professionalism and patience during their in-person visits. These helpful interactions successfully made navigating certain account setups much easier for a small group of users.

When you leave T-Mobile will try and screw you!

I had been a long time Sprint customer when T-Mobile bought them. Fast forward to 2025 I decided to try T-Mobile’s internet service. Unfortunately, they were unable to provide a service that met my needs. As a result, I decided to switch to a different provider.

I signed up for the other service that also included mobile phone service. I went home, set up the new service then I went the local T-Mobile store and canceled my service on both my mobile phone and internet service, and the router and mesh extender was returned.

T-Mobile botched the transaction and failed to cancel the internet. They never sent a final bill. It was more than a month before I received any correspondence from T-Mobile. It wasn’t the final bill I was expecting but a past due statement and threats to cancel the service that had already been cancelled.

To further complicate matters when I called to resolve the issue, they were unable to verify my account resulting in no resolution. I did as T-Mobile requested and went to one of their stores and got the number, they said I needed.

The next attempt to resolve the issue was met with an added second verification that required an email to be sent. The problem, T-Mobile’s system corrupted my email, and the second verification was unsuccessful resulting in no resolution being reached.

T-Mobile then had their collection people, TSI, start calling to collect. TSI is unable to negotiate. All they are capable of is to collect or develop a payment plan. That got me back to T-Mobile’s customer service.

This time my email had been miraculously restored in T-Mobile’s system allowing their two-step verification to be successful this. After a lengthy conversation T-Mobile’s suggestion for me to pay what they say I owe while they investigate dispute.

T-Mobile failed to do their job and are now demanding additional dollars be paid based on their failure. I offered what I felt was a reasonable resolution that T-Mobile refused.

There has been no usage of T-Mobile services since the cancellation date of 16 July 2026. My expectation was a prorated bill for the month of July 2026 not 2 additional months of charge including additional service fees and late charges.

I had been happy with T-Mobile’s service. The only issue was internet speed and band with. I was hoping to return to T-Mobile when their fiber network became available in my area. At this point I will never go back.

Is T-Mobile messing with you? Take action now!

T-Mobile held my account hostage, refused to give me access to my account so I could close it, and kept billing me after transferring to Mint. If this happens to you (or has happened to you), take these steps immediately: 1. Contact your financial institution and request a stop order or ACH permission revocation on any account you have given permission to T-Mobile. 2. Go online and ask the question: How do I write a letter to the FCC documenting a bad experience with T-Mobile. You will get a detailed answer from AI. Tell your story and answer the prompt questions. 3. Follow the AI advice exactly and write your letter in as much detail as possible and email it to the FCC quickly. 4. Ask AI who you should email a copy of the letter to at T-Mobile (it's a special person, not regular customer service), and do that too. Don't bother doing anything else with what T-Mobile or Mint tells you to do, they are only trying to stretch out the time it takes for the FCC to contact them. After the FCC finally finished reviewing my complaint letter (3 wks), my refund arrived IN THE MAIL in two days! Unfortunately, it will not be a check sorry to say. It will be a T-Mobile debit card (with restrictions) for the exact amount you asked for. So, include all amounts you want to have refunded, including the cost of stop orders at your bank. Hope this helps. Remember, don't listen to anyone at T-Mobile or Mint! They are hoping you'll give up out of frustration, stringing you along and lying to you about what they can and cannot do for you. I heard it all and I wrote it all down for the FCC and this method worked. I only wish I had known what to do and started sooner!

Awful

Awful! I thought having been with them over 10 years I’d run into few problems. I recently upgraded my plan to get a better promotional offer. After doing so, I wanted to get the iPhone 17 at 1100 dollars off. Multiple t-mobile agents advised me to wait for the 18 and that the promotion would still apply. The moment the 18 came out they rescinded their offer and offered 300 for trade ins. The dishonestly is abysmal and should be taken into account if you’re considering tmobile for any promotions and “non rising” prices.

I won't be back....

I got Internet service from them. Service itself was good. However returning the equipment horrible. I'm old school. Want to return to a person as I picked it up in person. Authorized retailer can't take. Called a corporate store asked if they would take at their location. Instead of answering the direct question. I got well you can take it to a UPS store and they will return it. Not what I asked. But ok. I'll take my business elsewhere.

The WORST cell experience with Tmobile

I was forced into a tmobile account when they bought out US Cellular. It has been nothing but problems from day one. I had to replace my SIM cards, not once but twice. The second time I went to the closest store about a 25 minute drive. I was in line for 45 minutes before my turn. Once it was my turn I was treated extremely poorly. I was informed that I MUST download the app. I said I didn't want or need yet another app, to which I was told, "If you don't like it, switch carriers then" What kind of business has no regard for the customer? I left the store after another 45 minutes of trying to verify my identity through the stupid app, where I was ultimately timed out and couldn't do anything for 24 hours. The "employee" dude absolutely nothing to help or even check on me. I went home and called customer service. Within 2 minutes I had a new physical SIM (which the employee refused to give me) being shipped to my house. It arrived after 2 days, then I spent 3 more hours of my life on the phone with Customer service, fixing my phone myself.
Now I use wifi calling at home since thats all I get through Tmobile even though I HAD service when it was US Cellular. What happened to the "better service than before the merger" that I was promised? No one apologized, no compensation for the HOURS of trouble I was caused.
I'm looking for another cell carrier because this is ridiculous.

Jaime nk, ri store great customer service!

Jaime, Keith, and Saul were all great! I did the iPad deal and they made it easy and I am very happy with it! Went to return internet box thing that another tmobile store, in SK, ordered for me that I said I did not want and these guys handled the return quickly and professionally. I was at the other tmobile to port my number to another phone because they were closer that day but I will obviously go to these guys anytime I need them! Great guys and customer service! 42 Frenchtown Road, NK, RI, in the same plaza as my Planet Fitness!

Once great. Now Uncarrier Means a whole different thing than it used to

terrible service. they are very good with the bait and switch. and just remember. if they say price lock.. or price for life? that really mealy price for life, until we decide to change it. And if thats not good enough they keep raising prices on long time customers. just got this disingenuous notice: Update to your next bill.
The Regulatory Programs & Telco Recovery Fee on your monthly bill will increase by $1.00/line for voice lines of service and $0.50/line for data only lines effective 10/12/2026.

Really poor customer service

Someone called me from t-mobile. When I asked why they had contacted me they hung up. I tried to return the call but it was constantly engaged.

I went onto their website so that I could let them know about this experience. Using their instant messaging service I was put into contact with someone from their customer care team.

Someone called Sonia wanted to show me the amazing deals they could offer me, however they couldn’t help with a complaint and so they transferred me to Jack.

Jack thought my name was Sonia. I asked if they were a real person or AI. The conversation was terminated.

I then was out in touch with Magda, they thought I was considering t-mobile as my new carrier. I asked if they were a real person or AI. They claimed to be a real person, but they couldn’t help me. They put me on to Jenny J.

I asked if they were a real person, they claimed to be a real person. They pretended to listen and said they would document it and forward it to the appropriate department.

They said they couldn’t see previous interactions, but even if they could, I hadn’t actually made the complaint yet. They just wanted to get rid of me.

Really, really poor customer service, I would steer well clear of them based on this appalling customer service.

The most disappointing company.

Worst company ever. Always ping-ponging customers between the retail stores, corporate stores and the number. They love doing the confusion game to get you past the timeframe of when you need to return things and what not. The incompetency is frustrating. Worst customer service ever.

I had the worst experience beginning…

I had the worst experience beginning with a lying salesperson who told me what my monthly payment would be. The payment went up substantially, I called in and they made adjustments and they brought the bill down to then be lied again because the bill went once again saying that they couldn’t find anything documented. Such pain in butt to get new phone and then lied about bill amount.

Tmobile review

I don’t like being taking advantage of and that’s exactly how I feel. I’ve called customer service multiple times after I’ve paid my phone off to get a lower rate for my bill every month. I’ve stressed to them that I’m going thru struggling times which I didn’t have to release that information but I was asked for the reason. Tmobile not only has promised me a lower rate but every month my bill stays the same, and for some reason this month now I’m paying an extra 10$. I love tmobile and would like to stay with their service but something has to change before I decide to switch services.

Thank you .

I run a nonprofit with 10 business…: T-Mobile for Business billed me for phones they already had back

I run a nonprofit with 10 business lines on T-Mobile for Business. I ordered 512GB phones and was shipped 256GB phones instead. I returned them by UPS, and T-Mobile received them on August 4. Weeks later, they still auto-debited $1,311.86 from my account, money that was set aside for my son's school tuition.

The refund took about a month. Then T-Mobile re-billed me for the same phones, disconnected all 10 of our lines, and sent the account to collections. I also found that T-Mobile has my name on other accounts I never opened and have no connection to.

I've sent a written dispute and filed complaints with the FTC and BBB. The store staff in Cummings, GA tried to help, especially Jason, but corporate billing still hasn't fixed its own mistake. If you run a business, be very careful giving T-Mobile for Business access to your bank account.

T mobile will suck the life out of you

If I could give less of a review I would. DO NOT TRUST T-MOBILE! They are as bad if not worst as xfinity. Every single month our phone bill has been over $100 higher than it’s supposed to be, every single month we have to call and spend 3 hours fighting with them to be told we will be credited x amount but we never see the credits, every single month they say our next bill will be x amount but it never is and we pay our bill on time EVERY SINGLE MONTH! Or should I say overpay our bill every single month. I don’t know how they stay in business. And I am telling anyone who cares do not use their service. It’s horrible.

Worst company, lies about pricing

Worst company, lies about pricing
Tmobile is the worst company ever period.

They don’t care about helping customers properly and constantly lie.

When I first became I customers 4 years ago I was told I’d get 2 free phones along with my discounted service (my work offered discounted service as a perk of working there) I got the phones and they immediately started charging me for the devices with a monthly plan I knew nothing about.

They never fixed it and lied to me so I got phones but no promotional credits.

I got another new phone and had issues with getting promotional credit they stated I would get again.

Do not believe them when they say you get promotional credits because I’ve had them 4 different times lie to me and not fix it.

I was finally able to be freed from payment plans because they thank god allowed me to drop them because I moved to a place that has no service, I checked on their map before I moved and it stated there’s 5 g here but there isn’t anything.

I wish I never left Verizon for them it’s been the biggest headache of my life using Tmobile.

Customer service has went down hill. Do better T-Mobile

I had been satisfied with T-Mobile for the last 3 years. Then after a mistake on my bill, and I made a phone call 2 weeks ago, the rep said it was resolved, and today I got a bill and the problem was not at all resolved. Ok, well just another phone call should fix it, right? Can't even get someone on the phone for over 34 minutes, and I am at work myself trying to fix this problem. So I tried chat, same problem. Cannot get someone. Do better T-Mobile.

Good cell service and coverage but poor online tools and apps. Takes a long time to reach live help by chat or phone. have used T-mobile cell service many…

I have used T-mobile cell service many years once my original was bought out by them. Generally phone service and coverage are great. They overcharge for phones like most carriers so we buy phones elsewhere. My son moved out and wanted to move his line to a different carrier. Neither the app or website would issue a transfer pin. Took over an hour and many transfers to verify my account and get the 6 digit transfer pin. One rep told me since we used the phone on T-mobile it was now locked to T-mobile. Transferred to another department who told me they unlocked it from the T-mobile side but we would need to go back to the original seller to get a new unlock code. The website and app do not always function well unless you are adding services. Reps are pleasant but misinformed.
