The trade system in this game is insane…

The trade system in this game is insane i have never seen such stupidity even in the most grindy pay to win MMOs. Cartel market items have millon credit fees, escrow system, credit limits making it basically impossible to give bought items to friends. It ruins what could otherwise be a solid game.

A review from a Founder

I am a founder for this game, which means I've played it since launch, 15 years ago. I was also a closed beta tester for months before release, and continued to be a closed tester in a special group post launch for many years. I adored this game, I talked to the devs directly, and helped improve it over the years in any way I could.

I rate this game as it is today, and I give it 2.5 stars, but I marked down a 3-star. I mostly do group activity and it's becoming difficult to do that. The servers are not as stable as they used to be over the years and the disconnects are more frequent. However, every time you are disconnected you are also given a gameplay penalty so you can't play group activities when you get back in. 15 minutes, 1 hour and 6 hour penalties, incrementally for each disconnect. I'm not talking about free to play either; they do this to their paying customers. We pay to play and they lock you out of playing because their servers are unstable, or whatever other things that are out of your control.

The other reason I rate it so low today is because I just see no value in it for the money. We are still asked to pay $15 per month, but we don't see any expansions or quality content. $15 a month is $180 a year. Games are still $60-70, the same as they were years ago. That means we are asked to pay for 3 full games per year, and receive nothing in return for it, not the way we used to. No expansions, no major content, no major balance patches... nothing. Not even the communication we used to have. Zilch. Nada.

The game is in maintenance mode while they are asking for the price of 3 full games. Gaming studios spend years, with hundreds of staff, and tens of millions of dollars in investment, and they charge $60 for it in the end. And these guys are trying to charge 3 times that much for no new content and increasingly poor server stability. And then they slap penalties on top of it, and don't even let you play what you already paid for.

There is just no value in it today. I'm sure some still do see value and many still play it, but after 15 years, for me at least, the value is gone.

I miss the game this used to be.

No information about what is wrong, I open this account two days ago. I have to guess..it may be, because I have a drink name in part my account name. No offer to change my account name, I paid for 60 days game time and 14500 coins. Nor any information about me getting my money back.
The game seems to be fun got to play for a day..and I liked to be a Jedi Knight.
But the systems behind the game is poorly and the customer service close to none.

Tried to resolve an error by calling customer service.

Tried to resolve an error with subscription services which they never fixed. The people I spoke to seemed annoyed that they had to deal with a customer's issue regardless of how polite I was throughout the process. They were rude and tried to rush the process so they could get off the phone as soon as possible. It is a shame that the customer support team is so poor and doesn't care about its customers considering this has always been one of my favorite games, and I will most likely no longer be playing it as a result.

Swtor stole all my credits

So I had 4/10b credits which I got from my mate as he won’t be playing the game much anymore. When I got the mail he sent me I only got 4B from it and the 6B went missing after I claimed it. I then wrote to the customer service of swtor (in game ticket) and they got back to me saying I brought the credits from a 3rd party seller and they have taken all credits from my account. Not only am I beyond pissed off they even took the credits I worked hard to get. I then wrote a massive ticket to them explaining how pissed I was at them and I want my credits back. All I got from them was their legal address if I wanted to sue them

This Company sure doesn't respect its …

This Company sure doesn't respect its costumers. It can randomly take twice the amount when you are buying stuff, and when you write to the support team they will take weeks to answer, or not answer at all. WHEN they dicide to answer, they just use the same excuse, that they are not able to detect the problem. They have also taken some Money of mine to make me a subscriber, even though I didnt agree on those terms, so I asked to get my Money back and my subscribtion to be removed since I havent played the damn game for a while. If you love your Money and want to spent them on something useful, then dont EVER be a subscriber to this game.. I'm truly dissapointed by EA and the team behind SWTOR.. And yes, I know that you are able to play the game without being a subscriber, but the game is so lemited without the subscribtion.... DONT EVER PLAY THIS GAME!!

Lukker din konto og beholder dine penge!

Well SWTOR / EA.
I can't reach you by mail, phone or anything else.
So I need to reach you inhere, and then everybody can see what you are doing.
You guys have locked out my account, won't help me in anyway and I have paid 30$ for 60 days, and I have been unable to play for about a week.
Why do you want to make money this way? It sounds like a scam to me.
I am from Denmark, and I tried to call you "wanna be support" to get help, because that's the only way I can get help.
BUT; it did cost me 4$ to call you, and all I got was a hell lot of choices to make on the phone and in the end there was no help.
So far I have used 34$ and a lot of time sending mails asking for help etc.
That's simply NOT ok. I hope you will consider this next time you want to create anything. Start with the support.
