The watch is not easy to set up. Once I got used to it, The data logging clip does not stay linked to the wach. I recently had to change the data logging cable. Ever since then, the watch failed to record my traing session data and when I linked it to the laptop, it rest to Jan 1st 2000 and lost ALL my data. RUBBISH!!!
For Christmas, my husband gifted me a V2 Pool Mate, hoping it would serve as a reliable lap counter. I've tested it multiple times in a 50m pool, even switching wrists and changing my stroke, but it consistently fails to count laps correctly, sometimes not counting them at all. Despite numerous emails exchanged with support in the UK, the issue remains unresolved. If your primary goal is tracking laps, this might not be the best choice.

It does not count laps properly or sometimes at all. Various emails back and forth with support in uk to no avail. If you want this for lap counting forget it.
My wife's 6 month old Poolmate 2 watch, started resetting to 1st Jan 2015, to clarify whether this was due to the battery I emailed Swimovate Customer Service. I received a response the next day from L**a, saying that it was the battery and because the watch was only 6 months old they would fit a new one if I returned it to them. Having had a water failure on a previous Poolmate after a battery change, I was very grateful for the offer. The watch was returned and came back within a few days.
