Rats!!! Rats everywhere!!! Been complaining about Rats for 2 years. Done nothing about it. Had to phone and they REFUSED to admit there's Rats. Like I'm looking at one right now. When I moved in, bed was broke- completely BROKEN. When I complained they said they would ring me and get me a new one, two years later I'm still forced to sleep on a completely broken bed despite me contacting them NUMEROUS times. There is mold everywhere, they didn't even fix the toilet when we moved in, no toilet handle, barely holding on toilet seat but wouldn't fit it because it's cosmetic. They failed housing inspections due to a two inch wood underneath each door which is extremely dangerous considering we have someone with disabilities who can easily get hurt from it! Very steep steps, with screws loose and they just leave it on the step! Wall in the room isn't even a room it's just a piece of plywood which will warp and bend with ANY weight. Do NOT go with these people. Actual scammers and definitely not up to code. Go somewhere else.

Possibly the worst letting agent in Swansea. They only seem to care about money and completely ignore what is in the contract.

Our heating broke down a few times. Once it was out for almost three months but that wasn’t an issue because it was over summer, next time it went out for over three weeks and it was so cold. We sent out series of email regarding that but barely got a response. They mostly respond to requests after you threaten to involve the council.

Some of the staff in the office speak to people in a very demeaning way, and they even chase you for rent when you do not owe anything.

Honestly, just avoid them. There are other letting agents in Swansea who actually know how to do their job.

Scam artists. They have deleted their google reviews due to all the negative reviews, they will attempt to take your entire deposit with fantasy justifications. Use any other letting agent at all costs and you will have a far better time. When they inevitably try to take your entire deposit, go through the ombudsman as I did and you will be able to get your full deposit back.

I had an appalling experience with Swan Letting and they remain one of the most careless and disrespectful letting agents I’ve ever dealt with.

Basic responsibilities were ignored. When the heating failed in the middle of winter due to their lack of maintenance, they refused to provide any temporary heating, leaving residents freezing for over a week. Complaints were dismissed and treated as a nuisance rather than a serious welfare issue.

Refuse management was chaotic and hostile. Bins were not properly arranged or collected, residents were not informed of schedules, and when problems inevitably occurred, Swan Letting responded by threatening tenants instead of fixing issues caused by their own poor organisation. More recently, they appear to tear apart buildings to convert them into HMOs, causing prolonged noise and disruption to local residents with no regard for the community. Do not expect professionalism, respect, or fair treatment.

Oh, and do not expect to see your full deposit returned. Their approach is confrontational, negligent and deeply unprofessional. Avoid at all costs.

Dreadful company. Dishonest, disingenuous, criminal acts.

Given 1 star because i can't give 0, sadly 1 star suggests a slightly positive experience. From the outset they tried to gloss over problems that we highlighted and only responded when we threatened to turn to local authorities such as the council. Faulty fire door, faulty gas hob which had been highlighted on the gas certificate, evidence that mould had merely been painted over, leaking ceilings, damaged walls and many more. The initial inventory suggested everything was perfect, whereas this clearly was not the case. On the final inspection, only one fault was identified by the agent which we accepted, however, they subsequently submitted further charges in an audacious attempt to keep our deposit. They treat students without respect, I would AVOID THIS AGENT AT ALL COSTS.

One star is too much of a compliment for this company. I have never dealt with a company that treats its tenants so poorly and just evil. Please stay away. I have had nothing but stress and a constant battle with them for the last two years, ruining my university experience. Please take in that this company has 1 one star review, from one of the managers. If that doesn't sum up their customer service and how they treat their students, I don't know what will. They deleted all their google and facebook reviews because they are are terrible. He has tried to sue me for writing a review that was true, again another scare-mongering tactic that was never followed through, to scare me into deleting it. More legal battles are currently ongoing even after not renting with them for over a year. PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

notice how you can’t find Google reviews, Facebook reviews, reviews on Apple Maps? They deleted them all because they’re all terrible - but true. Truly avoid this company at all costs, biggest money grabbing scum bags I’ve ever come across in my entire life. All they care about is dumping bills they don’t want to pay on students (with no legal backing) although the owner of the company drives his 100k cars to our houses. Pure scumbaggery, and his minions who sit in the office are even worse. Constant screaming matches down the phone - utter professionalism if you ask me - over contract terms that they have broken!

Everyone always has bad things to say about letting agencies - take my advice and stay away from this company! For fourth year housing we swapped over to Mirador, and have never had a single problem with them.

Just realised swan sales and lettings have taken themselves off Google (probably because they had so many bad reviews). So I thought I'd warn people on here to never use Swan sales and lettings. I don't know how they have grown to be such a big company, I've never heard a student have a good word to say about them. In my experience, they were incompetent, unorganised and bullies. I hope their bad rep catches up to them soon. PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF USING THEM!!!

Where do I begin with my experience with Swan Lettings. Me and 9 of my friends signed to rent a student house with Swan Lettings and also (not to be dramatic) subsequently signed our lives away to the devil masked as a knock off version of the selling sunsets cast. The house was still being renovated when we signed, however we were promised and assured it would be ready for us to move in our belongings during the summer- in the contract it also stated that if this was not the case, all tenants would be fully refunded their summer retainer fees. Shock horror, the house was nowhere near ready and after many months of battling, we were only given half of the fees we were due. This is only a tip of the iceberg however. We also contractually agreed on a fixed rate for our bills offered and organised for us by Swan Lettings, and then was told a few months later that the price would be over double what we had initially agreed. It took a huge battle to get this price lowered (we never got it back to what we initially agreed), and the staff members treated us comparable to how you would treat faeces on the end of your shoe. Speaking of faeces, the lovely Swan Lettings also allowed my shower, sink and toilet along with our carpark and drains to completely fill up with years of human waste from the hotel it was before due to their faulty plumbing, and also gave us the pleasure to clean it up all ourselves (whilst subsequently blaming it on feminine hygiene products used when the photos they supplied to us rather, showed years worth of blockage of toilet paper). If you think this sounds bad, add on the fact that we had bayliffs at our house multiple times, with letters constantly coming through since the owner (Bal) had been kind enough to illegally put around 3k worth of energy debts under one of my housemates name and harassed her for the entire year, refusing to do anything about it. I could go on and mention the fact our carpark was so unsecure we had a car break in and another students car completely written off, or the fact that after putting us through hell all year they then decided to rinse all of our deposits and charge us for the facts their house was renovated by cowboys and of damages that they had no photos to prove existed, but I digress. If you do one thing in this life, do not rent a property with Swan Lettings

Would give this company a 0 if I could. Horrendous letting agency I advise everyone to stay away especially if you're a student and they are useless. Had damages to my car caused by a faulty bollard in their private parking and they refuse to take any liability. Along with all the problems in the property which they couldn't care less about and hearing from other people's experiences they do everything they can to keep your deposit. Joke of a company.

The only positive review on here is from Sirin who actually works at Swan Letting!
The house was a state and they never fixed anything unless it was essential like the boiler that broke nearly every month.
Make sure they put you on a deposit protection scheme because they have been known to forget to fill in important legal documents out of incompetence in the past.
Additionally, they will take every penny they can off your deposit when you leave and if there's anything left it will take a month or two of haggling to get it back.
Honestly do not understand how they are still in business!
