You will be sorry if you use

Booked through Travelzoo so doubly disappointed. Advertised £119. Phoned up expecting it to be a bit dearer, £309 for both so I accepted. Put through to payment department who went through everything and then announced £399 because "everybody always has to pay £45 per person to book a holiday with every company". I was led to believe that deposit payment had already gone through. Well done, you got the better of me and ripped me off, some of it my fault for being stupid. Please please if you are reading this, don't use.

Everything went perfect

I've never heard of Super Break before making my online booking. I booked a short break to London to see Kiss in the O2 arena. The deal included the hotel and the VIP suite ticket for the concert. I booked my break just two days before the concert and all documents arrived in time. I received a confirmation of my booking and a voucher for the hotel and the print out ticket for the concert in a separate e-mail one day after the booking with lots of information about the VIP suite and how to enter the venue. I had different hotel options to chose from and I think the deal was pretty cheap compared to the usual prices of both, hotel and ticket. I would book through Super Break again.

If I could give 0 stars I would...

Booked a break with a friend. Unfortunately my friend fell poorly with a viral illness so couldn’t attend. Superbreak were unbelievably rude and unhelpful when I called them very stressed. Told me there was nothing they could do to help me, meaning I was about to lose £400! Wouldn’t let me speak to a manager, had no suggestions to help me and THEN hung up on me.

I will never ever book through them again and will be sharing my experience to make sure others don’t either.

Ruined 21st trip

If I could give no stars I would. I have booked a family break for 5 to London to celebrate my sons 21st ( who is autistic) I was looking at a number of packages open on different screens and accidentally completed the purchase on the wrong one. I contacted them IMMEATIATELY but they don’t want to know . I have also checked prices and they have charged me nearly £200 more than if I had booked direct. I’ve saved hard for this trip and now is ruined. I am distraught shame on you superbreaks. A genuine mistake but they are not interested.

Just been to Iceland 4 days B&B

Just been to Iceland 4 days B&B. Stayed at Hotel Norderland 3*. An excellent break, could not fault any of it. Super place, great trips and people. Be nice to them, they will be nice to you, from DNA they are our cousins. These are clever people who have had it hard, and they are especially good at making tunnels. They appreciate and have a great respect for the environment. Do not damage it or drive a 4x4 away from the official tracks. There is little crime and I have read they even leave the babies outside the cafes, unattended. Out of 350k people, there are only 200 in open prisons. If you get 'booked in' and it takes longer than five years you get let off !
They have a saying "it is what it is". Do what you are told on trips and you will not end up as toast down a fissure crack.
About £40 for a cafe meal for two with drinks.
My only comment is they could deal with the ice better, even to walk to the aircraft, and that includes Norwich.

Madeira wow

Madeira wow! Went for 7 days on a Super break holiday. I found it easy to book. I have been trying to get a package holiday from my local airport for some time without success until I found their site.
The holiday was based at the Tiles hotel in Funchal a lovely 11 storey recently refurbished hotel. We found the rooms very clean if a bit utilitarian not much in the was of drawers and cupboards but a hanging rail instead of a wardrobe which I like as I find most hotel wardrobes have an unpleasant smell that get on your clothes. Strangely there was a 2nd balcony and door off the bathroom, very odd. The tea & coffee sachets in the room were not nice so take your own.
The food was excellent on most nights with a good fried or continental breakfast offering soya milk too.
The best aspect of this hotel was the roof top bar very friendly service and free peanuts with every order, lovely flame heaters that keep you warm if needed. Staff nice and English spoken by most. Two lifts and a pool with bar. The only slight negatives are the slope to reach the hotel but almost all are like it on Madeira as it is very mountainous, and the excessive amount of rude German tourists.
Superbreak arranged a tour guide who was lovely and helpful. The full day tour that was included in the holiday cost was great but the 12 euros extra for a 3 course meal incluing wine at the Orca restaurant seemed a bargain but wasn't really, most of the food was overcooked and kept warm we were so rushed we didn't have chance to drink the wine. There was an optional extra to do a half day levada walk which was brilliant and ended with a home made afternoon tea in the tour guide Rita's own home included was home made cake and sandwiches the highlight of my holiday!
There is so much to do 7 days just flew by. I chickened out of the cable car but did do the sledge ride down the hill which in the end wasn't as bad as the bus ride up or the stairs up the side of the church to reach it. The flights both ways were with Germania and were brilliant with complimentary sandwich and drink plus the nicest Germans we'd met all holiday, thank you for a great holiday.

Booked a trip to Amsterdam with…

Booked a trip to Amsterdam with Eurostar, which now goes direct but after booking told I can only use the “slow” train from/to Brussels to Amsterdam, which would add 8 hours to the journey altogether. Also train times are from/to Brussels and not Amsterdam - very misleading and you don’t know this until you’ve booked it! Luckily was able to cancel after waiting 20 minutes to get through to customer services. I wouldn’t recommend this company due to the “Ryanair like ways” - sneaky and misleading they run the website.

Hotels on offer in London poor and not informed about building work!

I have to say that having used their services previously i was very disappointed with this hotel combined with a theatre visit. The Britannia International Hotel in London Canary Wharf is surrounded by building works and is noisy with a huge skip to welcome you on arrival outside the main doors that is when you can find the hotel amongst all the building work going on which continued up to the seventh floor as you look outside the windows covered in dust. The room was allocated after we said that we were on a superbreak celebrating our 9th wedding anniversary and they put us facing the building work where cranes constantly lifted building materials way up in the sky. We read Super Breaks's literature and they advise to contact the hotel reception and as most are foreigners, having told them already we were on our anniversary break, we felt this to fall on deaf ears and didn't want the stress of dealing with this which would ruin our day further. Breakfast was appalling and looked as if it was shovelled off the street, having worked in the hotel trade myself you would need to have special training to make such a bad breakfast. I get the point it was a deal but any deal should at the very least make you feel happy particularly on such a special day. To use Super Break services again we requested a refund for the hotel part of our stay as the theatre part was ok but as expected no reply!

Does Superbreak contact the hotels ?

Now have had 2 hotel bookings in the span of 2 months where the hotels denied receiving intimation of our booking via Superbreak. Fortunately on both occasions there were rooms available so that we didn't have to go elsewhere looking for rooms...

Just back from a long weekend in York…Deb Davies

Just back from a long weekend in York which we booked through Tom in Customer Services at Superbreak In York he recommended we stay at the Novotel and were not disappointed we received 1st class service from start to finish. Tom arranged a free River Cruise which we throughly enjoyed and he also arranged a treat from the hotel on our arrival as it was our anniversary. We have had an excellent trip which we will look to return again and will definitely book through Superbreak again. Thank you Tom for all your help

shocking customer service

Surprise holiday booked for wife’s 40th birthday, great until they chose to email my wife asking her to review a holiday she knew nothing about, neither did I use her email address although they claim their system spotted her as a passenger and used it from previous booking she has made, this remains unresolved and I am currently being ignored.

Lip service to customer service.

Lip service to customer service.
I have been in correspondence with 'customer service' since March. I first made contact during the weekend I'd booked through them. I have still not had a satisfactory response and the responses I have had lead me to believe they are not actually reading my emails and just sending trite replies in the hope I will give up.
Their response times are a joke also.
Very disappointing.

It is happening too often so I suspect a website issue... either that or does not like Dundee as a start location!!

Took my money but didn't book my break !

Tried booking a London theatre break for my partners 40th birthday - Superbreak debited the £600+ from my account and said they would email over confirmation. When the email didn't arrive I chased them only to be told they had no record of my booking. When I explained that I had proof of the money being taken from my account by them they managed to "find the money in their system" but said this hadn't been allocated and if I still wanted the break I would now need to pay over £200 more because the price had gone up !! With three days until my partners birthday and no help from Superbreak I asked for a refund so I could look elsewhere and was told this would take 5 days. Avoid at all costs - absolutely useless. !!
