I ordered a pump on Tuesday the 7th of April at 11am and was told it would be guaranteed delivery the next Day. The pump never arrived until Thursday afternoon. when it did arrive the pipe was not with it. When I contacted them I was told it would be coming that day it never arrived. It arrived Friday afternoon the connector to the pump was not with it and this did not arrive till Saturday morning. Due to the delay it has cost me nearly £600 pounds as I was paying for a digger and a dumper and a man and we were unable to do anything. I rang numerous times and many times my calls were ignored and I had to borrow other phones to ring and then my call would be answered. All I kept getting told was it was not their fault but the courier company but obviously it is their fault as they choose to use them. I was told by a member of their staff that 9 out of 10 times their equipment arrives on time, so they know that the courier company fails at least 1 out of 10 times yet you still guarantee next day delivery. For all this hassle, cost and poor customer service all I was offered in compensation was the £70 delivery charge returned which I still am yet to receive never mind anything else for all the costs that were incurred

I have had a domestic dual pumping station fitted by sumps and pumps direct now for over 5 years its still working perfectly , I just can't thank this company enough for their professionalism and technical advice ,ive been in business since the early 90s and speaking from experience there is not a company out in the real world who gets it right all the time ,so for the impatient consumer " who is always right" perhaps we should all reflect on how we tried our best but missed the mark at times ,I stand by my word that this is a company of integrity and fairness a rare commodity in the business world we see today ,so please anyone who is reading this dont miss out on a great service at a fair price just because of a few grey reviews ,steve garvey formerly the owner if the west coast ginger company but now I have sadly retired

We purchased a Mini Sewage Station 600L (6m) from Sumps and Pumps Direct on 29/07, based on their website’s clear promise: “Order within 1 hour 50 mins for next day delivery.” My invoice also confirmed delivery would be on 30/07.

However, after placing the order, I received no delivery the next day. I tried to call the company multiple times — no answer. I emailed them immediately, only to get a blunt response from Nick, saying my order “isn’t leaving the warehouse until tomorrow.” I replied, asking for it to be sent out as originally promised. I received no further response.

The item eventually arrived late the following day, outside the 10–11am window given, and to make matters worse, it came with the wrong fittings.

I tried calling again to resolve the issue, and once again — no one answers the phone.

Absolutely terrible customer service. Misleading delivery claims. No communication. If you need reliability or support, I would not recommend this company at all.

Bought a mini pumping station from these guys three years ago.

We bought a mini sewage tank from SPD last April and had a slight issue with the pump last week. I just wanted to say they couldn't have been more helpful. Due to the current lockdown situation we had an engineer talk us through with some trouble shooting, identify the issue and had it all resolved in 24 hours. Absolutely brilliant.
