Summit to Sea Reviews 

I visited the shop in Anglesey to buy some boots to wear with my dry suit. I ended up with size 11, and wanted some wet suit socks to go with them. I was given a pair of extra small, and they didn't fit. I called to return them, and was told to post them back. I did this, and they received them (signed for with Royal Mail). However, my refund was not processed, and my emails are now being ignored. I tried calling several times to be told that "Pete is away". No one ever calls back. Thank god I am only £40 out of pocket. If you can't trust them with £40, how can you trust them with a bigger purchase, should some problem arise?

I am very disappointed. I have waited from March to now before posting a review, to give Pete a chance to return from his holiday, and to do the decent thing.

I won't be spending my money there in the future, and I recommend you think carefully before doing so as well.

Wow! Extremely impressive service. I ordered an item of clothing yesterday and it arrived this afternoon! The Item was nicely packaged with a friendly New Year message on the receipt. I would definitely buy from Summit to Sea again. “Thank you Pete!” 😁

Don't normally buy via the internet/Web but prices so good I thought I would take a chance so glad I did.

I was extremely pleased with the customer service delivered by this small business. I ordered a fleece which arrived in only 1 working day despite having used standard delivery. The parcel included a kind handwritten note. The price was much cheaper than at other shops. Very pleased.

I have bought a number of kayak items here, both in the shop and over the 'net, taken part in Pete Baars' sea kayak demo weekend (well worth it if you are in the market for a new sea kayak) and finally bought two North Shore Voyager kayaks through the shop. Great, friendly service every time!

Absolutely amazing service. Arrived in Holyhead en route to Ireland and my hubby went for his morning cycle realising he had forgotten his skewer. Found these guys on Google and they completely got him out of a tight spot. thank you so much and highly recommend. Happy husband = happy wife!

I ordered a set of Park tool hex wrenches and they arrived, unfortunately one snapped so I sent it back to be replaced. That was back in February and despite promising via a phone call that it will be sorted it still hasn’t arrived and it’s now October. I chased it up this week and even after speaking to a member of staff and the promise of calling me back later that day, still nothing.

Pete went out of his way to help us hire his Kayaks for the day and whilst we were expecting to have to pay for him to deliver them down the road he did it completely free of charge, an amazing customer experience and top guy! The hire was the cheapest in the area and the quality of the kayaks were high, he ensured everyone in our group were using the correct size and made sure we would all be comfortable. We have already said we will be using his services when we visit again, thank you Summit to Sea!! :)

We wanted to purchase a chamber that my 93 year old mother could use to hopefully improve her cognitive function. The first chamber we bought was too hard for her to get into and out of. Bruce and Judy were super helpful and caring while working with us to find a better solution, even though our 15 day return window had expired. I can't say enough nice things about these people.

Had the saddle I wanted in stock ,easy to order and delivered the next day . Top job 👍

DT Swiss special grease is impossible to source anywhere in the UK, I had to hunt and high and low for hours. Summit to Sea had it in stock and shipped quickly.

The personalised receipt in the package is a really nice touch as well, would definitely use again.

Love browsing this shop when on Anglesey. The staff are really knowledgeable and friendly and there are often good deals to be had. We tend to buy our paddling kit here.

I went to this shop today to look at jackets. The chap that served us was so so helpful friendly and explained so much to both myself and husband. I bought a Rab jacket which I am delighted with and will definitely be going back for more stuff. Would highly recommend this place.

I rang the shop yesterday to enquire about a jacket, the chap I spoke to could not have been more helpful. He was honest, willing to spend time going into detail about a Montane Anti Freeze jacket which I was interested in but unsure if it would fit me. He assured me if it didn’t fit I should just send it straight back for a full refund. I ordered the jacket yesterday afternoon and it arrived this morning and I love it! This is the kind of service I want when I’m buying outdoor kit. I will recommend to everyone, it’s the business.

Such helpful people, didn’t have what I was looking for but Gave me directions to somewhere which did If I was into kayaking, undoubtedly this would be the place to go!
