As someone who has never undergone surgery before, the thought of a general anaesthetic and operation was quite daunting. However, I quickly realised that I had no reason to worry! Every member of staff I encountered, from check-in to post-operative care, was exceptional. The entire team was kind, compassionate, and reassuring—everything one could hope for in such a vulnerable experience. I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to each of you for taking such wonderful care of me. Your attentiveness and support alleviated any anxiety I had about the surgery, and I truly appreciate it. Thank you all so much.

In for NHS knee replacement. They approached me by phone to see if I wanted to swap consultants and to come in even earlier. This was much appreciated. Customer and clinical experience is first rate. ALL of the people I had contact with have been positive, communicative and helpful. Private room with TV is clean and pleasant. My room has a solid 4G phone signal. Pain management is proactive and attentive. Excellent food requires special mention. I live some distance away so Louise quickly organised an x-ray and pre-op bloods / assessment so I didn’t have to make extra trips to the hospital. Having been in a small number of private hospitals, I can say that Sulis is a model hospital that others should strive to be like. Sulis nurses kept me in the loop by phone prior to admission. A genuine big thank you to the NHS and Sulis.

As an NHS patient, I have received very poor customer service. I only managed to get a letter confirming the date of my procedure when I drove to the hospital to collect it (3 promises it had been sent resulted in nothing). The appointment was then rearranged without consultation to a date I could not do and I discovered the real reason was that the original date was not possible for the surgeon in the first place. Two calls to the manager and still nothing has been done.
