Stewardship are so helpful to us

Stewardship are so helpful to us. We are a small charity and they manage our payroll. They are always available to answer queries and provide any information we need. They are patient with my lack of knowledge in this area and take time to explain what we need to know.

Exceptional Payroll Service

The Stewardship Payroll team have been fantastic—professional, responsive, and consistently helpful. They manage all of our payroll matters smoothly and answer any queries quickly. Their fees are fair, and they take all the heavy payroll responsibilities off our hands.

I can't recommend Stewardship highly enough...!

I can't recommend Stewardship highly enough. I was walked step by step through the process of setting up a payroll and pension for my new employee. Nothing is too much trouble. Emails are answered swiftly and problems resolved quickly and satisfactorily.
This is the service to use!!

Always very responsive and accurate.

I work for 2 small (under 10 members of staff each) charities and it's great to be able to rely on Stewardship to handle all the complexities of payroll and know that we're not reliant on me to process the payroll each month. Stewardship are always very responsive and accurate.

Regrettably I find that Stewardship…

Regrettably I find that Stewardship seem less & less interested in their clients.I I have not heard from them in 3 years & should like to find an alternative for my Christian giving.I keep my modest giving with them until I can find an alternative. So sad to write this about a Christian organisation.May the Lord awaken them from their lethargy.

Thank you so much for sharing your feedback, Peter. We really appreciate you taking the time to let us know your thoughts.

We try to keep postal communications to a minimum and now use email for most of our updates and marketing messages. A few years ago, we moved our Share magazine from a printed quarterly to a digital‑only format. It’s now Generous, a monthly newsletter with many of the same stories, updates, and features you may have enjoyed in the print edition. We completely understand that the change can feel like a step back if you preferred receiving something through the post. If you’d like to join the mailing list for Generous, you can sign up here: https://www.stewardship.org.uk/subscribe.

And of course, if you ever want to get in touch, our team is always here and happy to hear from you: https://www.stewardship.org.uk/help-support/contact-us

Too reliant on automated process

I opened my account (George Parker) with Stewardship about 30 years ago so that I could make a donation to a missionary working abroad. I would make the donation once each year to Stewardship, they would add the gift aid, take their fee and send the balance to the missionary. This worked well for many years.
In April this year I sent a donation to Stewardship, they added the gift aid, took their fee and sent the balance to the missionary. In October I received an email from Stewardship saying that if my account remained inactive it would be marked as dormant. How could it be 'inactive' after just 6 months. I ignored that email but on 16th December received another email saying that my account had been marked as 'dormant', it included the sentence, which I found slightly threatening;
' If there is no activity within your Giving Account in a months time, it will be automatically closed'
I replied to that email asking why they did not look at my account and see how it was used, but received no reply and the long standing account was closed on 20th January. On 24th January I received a reply to my message of 21st December saying that their emails were sent by their 'automated process' and that my account should not have been closed !

Be VERY careful

Be VERY careful. Don't be confused by talks of having an "account". You can't withdraw funds, you can't close it and get your money back. Basically once you've paid money to Stewardship, that's it - you never see that money again if you circumstances ever change. Buried in the small print when you sign up. Be aware.

Thank you for your review, Sean. The Stewardship Giving Account provides one place to manage your charitable giving and tithing, while allowing the charities and causes you support to benefit from Instant Gift Aid and reduced admin. It gives you easy sight of your charitable giving, helping you to be proactive and keep track over time. This is not a bank account, but rather a donor advised fund whereby any payments in to Stewardship will be granted out to charitable causes of your preference. If you'd like to find out more, please feel free to contact us.
