Paid for software I could never activate, refund process is a dead end
I purchased an annual subscription and immediately ran into an activation issue — the key they sent me showed Error Code 1526 (Activation Key Exhausted / Reached Activation Limit) the very first time I tried to activate it. I literally never got to use the product even once.
I tried contacting their support team to resolve this, but their support is only available Monday to Friday, so my calls were answered by an automated response. Very frustrating when you've just paid for software you can't use.
I then tried to claim a refund through their 30-day money-back guarantee since the product was completely unusable from day one. However, the process is not as straightforward as advertised. Instead of processing the refund, they redirect you to technical support first — which I couldn't even reach.
I understand companies have procedures, but when a customer cannot activate a brand-new purchase and cannot reach support, the least they can do is honor their own money-back guarantee without making it an obstacle course.
Hoping Stellar's team reaches out and resolves this properly. I'll update my review if the situation is resolved.
Update: Stellar's support team has since reached out and provided the license. Issue has been resolved.

Had something of a disaster and deleted old camcorder files. The software downloaded easily, but I ran into problems with the recovery section - lack of space. Contacted Kush via the webchat, and he was excellent at steering me through the necessary processes, including taking over my PC to make sure everything was saved. VERY happy and relieved customer !

Software activation issues
The software seems to be great. It converts quickly, and appears to have a wide range of selections for the source to be converted. The purchase experience had 2 issues that may have been my oversight, but none-the-less it was not apparent. I purchased a technician license. There was no download link in the license acknowledgement on screen. I had to go back to the product page to download it, then later found the download was for the corporate version. The software should have activated whatever version you were licensing instead of having to download a different version. Tech support (Swatantra Sharma) was very helpful and courteous. All questions answered and I was up and running quickly.
Finally, as I was reviewing my invoice that arrived in an email, it casually mentioned that my subscription will auto-renew in a year. I was not aware I was purchasing a subscription product. Since I purchased a technician license, I expected to be able to deactivate it and remove it from the computer I was working on when finished so I can install and re-activate it on the next client's computer. Since this was locked to just one computer, I had to make sure to disable the auto-renewal. If this is a technician subscription, please make it so a technician can use it on multiple computers. Sure - restrict it to just one or two active subscriptions, but make sure you make a way for us to de-activate that installation when we are finished on that computer. As a technician, we work on many computers.
Again, customer service was stellar (pun intended)! Swatantra Sharma was a great help.
