Excellent quality and delivery in time!
I was looking for a pair of Wassily chairs from Marcel Breuer for a long time. When I found steelform online, I hesitated at first. Their quality promise sounded too good to be true and the price tag is not negligible for a replica. Thanks to other reviews on trustpilot I decided to give them a chance and ordered only one chair to "try out" first. It arrived without delay and its quality is simply amazing! Impeccable high quality steel work and smooth natural leather, just as described on the website (the 'Naturale' color tone is a bit lighter in reality than the photos on the website suggest; I might treat it with leather oil to darken it slightly, but even the light tone is nice).
An absolutely positive experience! I immediately ordered the second chair to complete my pair. Fully recommend!

(NB: the delivery service chosen by steelform for delivery in Belgium communicates well and pre-arranges a relatively precise delivery time.)

I have long wanted to buy an Eames Lounge Chair and the Ottoman since I saw it at a friend's house more than 35 years ago. The set that boasts the label “original” currently costs just over ten thousand euros plus shipping, a price that seems excessive to me.

I wanted to take the final step and have spent about two months on the Internet informing myself about the various possibilities as well as the characteristics of the original armchair from the 1950s. Yes, the intellectual property rights have expired and it is possible to find “copies” from 600 €, made in China.

I found “copies” already interesting from 1600 € and, during one of my visits, I fell on the page of “Steelform” where the set of chair and ottoman is offered for 2990 € shipping included.

It is difficult to spend 3000€ on the internet for a product that you have not seen, but I finally took the step once I contacted the company to make some inquiries (Thank you Virginie for your patience and kindness).

Today I got the chair: I had to wait four weeks, because Steelform manufactures it in Tuscany, Italy, to order. Just after four weeks I was informed that it was being shipped and that it would take 7 to 10 days: it took 5. The “package” is a cardboard box protected by a wooden formwork worthy of a good carpenter.

Once opened, the dream becomes reality: superb finish, soft and resistant leather, fantastic colored wood, very comfortable. I bought it to listen to music comfortably, but I'm afraid I'll soon fall asleep. I have seen the “original” model and I don't think it is in any way superior to the Steelform: this is Italian craftsmanship at its best.

I can only recommend “Steelform” because the furniture is worth the price they ask for it; because they are affordable; because they are fully compliant with the contract and sell a product that can in no way be called a “copy”.

Steelform is a very reliable company, the service is outstanding.

Good quality but delivery needs to be quicker

I have been trying to contact Steelform several times through email and phone, but it has been impossible. I wanted to check if someone knows a way to contact them and also if this is a company that actually exists because I am now a bit worried of placing my order before speaking to them (after so many attempts).

Any information would be appreacited.

Very good customer service, good quality product and packaging you don’t need to worry! I can recommend this company and would buy any time again.

I purchased 4 of their cesca chairs. I'm happy with my purchase! The chairs are sturdy and just beautifully made. Delivery takes a while but it's worth the wait. I will be purchasing more furniture from them.

I have emailed Steelform three times over the last month with no response whatsoever. I have a legitimate question about a product but I guess they don't need the custom, or care about they're reputation being damaged. A little communication or acknowledgement would have helped.

Im very happy with every part of this experience. The overall quality and especially leather quality is the best i have seen for any similar items. I bought a Le Corbusier LC44 lounge chair.

We received our 2 Lounge Chairs today. Due to Covid the deliveryterm was long. But we were informed about correctly from the beginning. The announced deliveryterm was respected. Packaging was 100% OK. As we were hesitating between the 2 sizes of this type of chair, we immediately received some pictures with a large person sitting in both sizes as a reference. So, a decision wasn’t so difficult. I recommend Steelform!

I recently bought ea 217 in a 'customized color' , and I just love it . So people : don't hesitate to buy with Steelform. Everything went great . Contact, follow-up,and especially the manufacturing of the chair.! ... . They even deliver sooner as expected. Delivery and package was more than OK . So thumbs up for the company and the people working there. "more than worth the money"!!

I’ve been trying to contact this company for weeks and have sent three messages through their website, none of which I have received a response to. There is no instagram or Facebook link when I click on the icon, and when I click on the email icon it opens to “your@email or something to that effect in my recipient box. Is this a legit website and if so, how i do I get in touch with them?? I have questions before placing such an expensive order. Thanks

Update to response: I’m sorry, so you expect that someone will spend 5000 dollars on a set of 6 chairs and you can’t “be bothered” to reply to an email asking for a picture of a color that you DO offer? Wow.

Update update: I don’t understand what kind of business you are running then. You offer a color option on your website, you don’t have pictures of it, and when a customer asks if they can see a picture since you yourself are selling that color - you say it looks horrible, no one would want it? well then why do you sell it?? So if I had said “does this color look horrible, rather than “can I see a picture of this color so I can decide for myself how it looks” you would have replied to my emails? Very interesting approach and attitude to customers who would want to spend thousands of dollars with you. Good luck to you sir, I will definitely never be buying anything from you.

Lolllllllll hahahahahaha... can’t be very busy or have much of a life if you have so much time for this exchange, but not to read the actual emails and messages customers send with actual questions because you “can’t be bothered”. Thanks, you really gave me a good laugh just now. Take care

I’m extremely pleased with the products. Only 4 stars instead of 5 due to the delay in receiving the order. Would I place a new order in the future? Yes. Worth to mention that I had a complain and the customer service of Steelform addressed it quickly and resolved the situation.

Very happy with my Eileen Gray E 1027 table which arrived today.

I had a very positive experience when I ordered my first article back 2004 (a Breuer Laccio table which is still as good as new) and I am delighted to see that the quality is still there while the service has improved.

I have just received 4 Cesca Breuer chairs 2weeks ahead of the scheduled delivery time.
The communication with Philipp before ordering was very accurate (as it was 15 years ago) and the transport/delivery was very well coordinated with the French transport company (they even stored them for me for 10 days).

Looking forward to place another order very soon!

I had a very good initial contact with the owner, very proactive so i made an order in February, should have received it 4-6 weeks after but still cannot get it! No answer to many mails, only a « i will ship next week » once in a while. Same thing goes for the bill that i paid but for which I cannot get the tax paper. Be careful before ordering !

I have indeed received the chairs that look good from the box (could not install them yet - for reasons independent from Steelform)

I maintain however that the real experience in terms of communication is poor. I still have not received my tax bill paper, but have stopped asking after tens of calls not answered and several emails. Same holds for the delivery where you never answered, but one guy showed up at the door one day. Good we had some staff around to receive the package...

I even find your comment here rude. First of all, I already say in my first comment that I had a very good and proactive contact with you. Secondly, you could have called / written at the time of delivery (or even answer my calls) to ask about the experience, and send the correct bill, and ask me to review my comment, which I would have done since it was written before the (unannounced) delivery.
More than happy to take this discussion offline, but its not with that kind of public message that i am likely to change my comment.

Excellent furniture. Amazing quality and reliable delivery.
But even more than that: Steelform also offers an outstanding customer service: One year after the purchase we had some small issues with one chair and the Steelform staff handled the same friendly, quickly and to our full satisfaction. We received replacement within days. That's amazing!

I ordered first a chaiselongue and recently a loungechair with ottoman. Both products are of great quality, i know the originals and see no differences. Also the leather is of great quality. I would recomment Steelform.
Downside is the delivery timeframe. For both products it took a lot longer then stated by Steelform. Luckely i read herethat this happens a lot, so i doubled the time for myself. With this in mind the service was great. Feedback on mails and phonecalls are rather slow, but always correct.

I would not doubt to buy furniture from Steelform once again. In the past I bought 2 Eileen Gray coffee tables, a Mies VD Rohe bench, an LC1 chair in ponyhide and 2 LC2 seats in white leader. The quality is comparable to those from the more long-established firms like Cassina, Knoll,...but the price is not. For those who doubt because they are not so pricey, let's not forget that retail trade already takes 40% of the price and that the overhead costs of big firms is so much higher
