Dont Care About Customers

there sorry no customer service i bought a game i already owned on my console i wanted to switch to my PC when i logged in linked the accounts it shows my play time off console but the issue is it didnt run on PC game crashed so i requested a refund 1hr after downloading it on steam the denied it saying to many play hours but all my play time was on my consol not the PC they just send the same automated message over again and there no call center they dont care just happy they got money and i ripped off with a game i cant even play on pc

I l9ve steam bit its only app when i get new phone or have to resign in on pc or laptop or tablet i cant get in with email and password. Ev3n after changing it still wont let me in on all devices. This has been lik this for years. Cant be that good a company if these issues still happen. Ridiculas and wheres biometrics. Its 2026 not 2008

Missing gift vouchers

I purchased two $100 gift vouchers as a “guest” via PayPal so my credit card was debited with a total of $200 on 19/3/2026. As of today 23/3/2026 the recipient (who has a steam wallet) still has not received them. Two emails to the steam help email have not helped and now I have had to lodge a PayPal dispute! NOT IMPRESSED. Do not use this company.

Used this crap and bougt games. And today i wanted to play a game (that i bougt) and it was not there. The muppets wants me to buy the game again. And navigating in there support is so hard. I will not use that shit again. It was better when you got the game on a disk

Excellent

The constant sales, the wide variety of games, the accessibility, the ui and the customisation are all reasons to like Steam. I also never had any issues with the Steam support.

On top of that, the fact Valve is still a private company and therefore not dependent on the highly questionable demands of shareholders, is a big plus.

The only negative to me, is the Steam community, because parts of it are extremely toxic and especially the community moderators are comparable to your stereotypical reddit mod, but that's not Valves fault.

Dont waste your money with steam

I have wasted so much money with this place. I will not give them another dime. Go to Xbox or straight to the games web site to get your games. So many of my games no longer work and they will do nothing about it. I have had to buy them twice now through X-box just to be able to use them. I have sent message after message to steam and nothing. they do not care. Please save your money and go else where I do from now on.

Steam helped the thief steal my in-game items

Every single time I log into my Steam account or sell/transfer in-game items, I’m forced to confirm the action through the Steam Mobile app — a security tool Valve swears will keep my account and hard-earned digital property safe.
But at 3:16 AM on March 18, while I was fast asleep, a thief broke into my account with zero push notifications, zero required confirmations from my mobile app, and zero effective oversight from Valve. They proceeded to steal 8 of my most valuable in-game items, worth a total of 400 USD, and sent them straight to their own account.
I gathered every piece of evidence of this theft and submitted it to Valve, only for them to brush me off completely. They claimed they were not involved, and that there was nothing they could do to fix the situation.
I’ve spent over 5000 USD on this platform. I trusted Valve’s promise that their mobile authenticator would protect my assets. Instead, Valve’s broken security system let a robber straight into my account, and now they’re washing their hands of the whole incident — leaving me stuck with the full 400 USD loss, a loss that never would have happened if their advertised security features actually worked as promised.

-Steam Games (steampowered.com) Mysteriously Evasive!

-- If you want to write a regular letter to Steamworks, Steampowered, Valve Corp. or find a phone number to get help in retrieving 40+ games you've paid for because your account has been hacked, you are OUT of LUCK! It's impossible to simply find the professional address or a phone # of this outfit! No professional trustworthy company or website would hide like this! After being a regular member for over 20 years, the game website has ignored every request for help from me. My username has been stolen onto someone else's account. Steam is apparently siding with the hacker and ignoring my messages. In fact, I had to register under a new username in order to even send a message to "support" so I could explain what has happened. So what? Still no reply to my email address which SHOULD be on file there at the website. I've tried for 2 weeks to get my games back under my original username to no avail. If you want to suddenly risk losing all your games on this website with NO clear way to ever see them again, BEWARE and GOOD LUCK!

Steam is good

I rated it 4 stars because it has some cons like how it can sometime glitch, but overall it's great, do not listen to the 1 star bots they try to shut down this good thing made from evaporated water from a shower which is where this site got it's name from.
