This company tricks people into a subscription without warning. If you go in to purchase a shipping label, they will sign you up for a free trial and then start billing you for a subscription. The scam is that they hope you don't notice the subscription fee.
I did not agree to a subscription but they placed me on one.

Sleazy tactics to get you to sign up for their monthly service without realizing it. You go to get some mailing service and without telling you they automatically sign you up. No clear notification that you are going to get charged $20+ per month. NO BUSINESS should ever be allowed to charge you anything without making it crystal clear what your payment is going to be. They get your credit card info when you get the stamps or mailing label, then use it to charge you monthly without making it clear you are doing that.

The convenience of sitting at my computer, or even on my phone is a tremendous time saver for me...also, the money I have saved. I like that the software compares the prices between shippers. I am very happy I found Stamps.com!

The customer service agent was very informative and easy to understand.

They scam you with service fees. Charged me 9 times for one shipment and made me pay subscription fee to file for refund for the 9 charges. Still charging me 4 months after subscription ended. Use USPS to sace money and not be scammed.
Dispicable company

Way too many glitches in program. Some days service doesn't work for hours at a time. Unable to copy tracking number from main shipping screen page.

1) The ease of figuring and printing postage.
2) Convenience of not having to wait in ling lines at the Post Office.

The product itself is useful and works well with our business, but they are terrible about fixing any glitches. It either is never fixed or takes months and months if they do.

Stamps.com holds on to addresses for years and years. If you're not paying attention to every single detail - you'll EASILY ship to the wrong address. I've lost almost $300 of merchandise because older addresses are over-writing my new addresses and I didn't realize until the customer reaches out and lets me know - or I see an "undeliverable" note on my online store. A 10 year old address just cost me $140. Thanks Stamps.com. Chose another service.
Reply to Paul: I have over 7000+ contacts in my stamps program over the 10+ years of using your service. Reviewing and scraping through my contact list is not possible - who has that kind of time?
However, YOU have a chance to help US by inserting an automatic warning within the system of anything that is over 2(?) years old or some average metric. Highlight the possible error with popup box with "this address is XX years old - is this okay?"
AND/ALSO we could use another warning or flag: "the same person has two addresses in the system, please update your contact for this address." I often have multiple entries for the same address for the same person as well. Perhaps make it easy to keep our contact list updated. STOP making it so tricky and picky to use. It's very irritating for the small business person and we're constantly worried about making mistakes every time we use your service. Every. Time.
