I had only received half of the bed frame, as the order should have contained two boxes for the entire frame. After some discussion with customer service, they sent the missing package to me, free of charge. The bed is of excellent quality and the customer service team stands behind their company. They deserve your business and will make the problem right if you contact them.
I ordered a $300.00 scope after they automatically renewed my membership. After I received the tracking information from FedEx saying the package was shipped to my previous address "4 Hours away" I called the customer support in hopes of changing the address or canceling the order. The customer support was not helpful and not friendly at all!! The customer support told me that was the address on file and that's where it's going even tho the item had not left their warehouse and FedEx confirmed they had NOT picked up the package. Fed Ex went on to say that I could not change the address but SG could infact. I called customer support back.. After speaking with a supervisor he said that FedEx could not tell me what they could or could not do and that I did not have SG's account number with Fed Ex and I would have to pay for the scope if it was stolen because if I called the credit card company SG would tell them that they shipped it to my address and would deny my claim!!! I even offered to call FedEx on 3 way calling and the supervisor would not even entertain the idea...... I have attempted to change or reroute MY package to prevent it from being stolen and they simply do not care!!! Will never do business with this company again!!
Had everything in stock and out the door the same day! Great service
They took down a bad product review, that is so low for a company to do. It stayed up for about two days maybe three then gone. I purchased a Wine Country Hunters Gourmet Choice Gift Basket. It did not match the description of the products that they said were included. I contacted Wine Country because there was a "100% satisfaction guarantee 'we will make it right'" card included with their contact info. After first telling me they do not do business with Sportman's Guide they finally did after I sent them pictures of the shipping label and the product. Then they said I would have to take it up with Sportsmans Guide because it was not purchased directly through Wine Country. So I just reviewed the product honestly on SG website giving it 1 star for shorting me a lot of product I paid for and included pictures of the basket I received. I also sent a email to SG about how I was treated by their vendor Wine Country. I have been buying from SG for about 10 years and now it is time for me to stop.
They sent me a child's size jacket instead of a man's XL as ordered and payed 102.19 for.
Then, they make me pay for return shipping, etc.
They keep at least $22.20, if they even refund the rest at all.
Poor customer service that tried blaming Burris, then Fedex for not being able to lift a signature requirement. Now the item is being returned and they say I would need to reorder the item.
I've been buying from SG for over two decades. If I want hunting stuff, I look on their site first. If I have any issues with an item, I am immediately provided a shipping label to return it. They don't have a tiny 30 day return window like some other online retailers (which isn't even 30 days when they base it off the date of purchase and it takes a week or two to arrive). I've even written poor reviews for products I wasn't happy with and a return label was sent to me without asking. That tells me they value their customers.
The only explanation for so many negative reviews on here is that people are much more willing to write a review for the one time they're unhappy with something than they are for all the times things go right. That and SG doesn't pay people to write 5-star reviews, unlike other previously mentioned online sites.
I LOVE SPORTSMAN GUIDE!!! Their pay in installment program is amazing! It makes everything affordable. CHECK THEM OUT
This used to be a great website.
This used to be my first stop shop for surplus goods...but it has taken a massive dive in quality of products and customer service. Five years ago this would have been a five star company. Things change, sometimes for the worse.
I got charged 400$ for no reason no product big scam be careful if I could’ve give it negative 0 stars I would
This Company is a big scam. I was charged 19.99 for the shipping for my $19 item. The size shipped out is wrong. I think they did it intentionally. I paid total of $45 now Iam getting only 19.99 back. This the worst experience ever. They made a mistake and I am paying for that. Hope God ruins this company to hell and bankrupt.
Great price and fast delivery on the Sig P322. I couldn't be happier with the experience.
I have been doing business with SG for many years and have never been disappointed by the outcome I recently ordered a pair of Danner boots and they are awesome
Instead of raising prices to match inflation they are now adding a "fuel" surcharge. This makes no sense as they do not deliver anything. This is a problem because now they show up in searches as the best deal around until you go to check out and find an additional "fuel" surcharge. I canceled my membership and will never shop there again what a crock of s**t
Purchased an item - LSA oil. it was not as described. i posted a 1 star review stating that fact along with some details. the review was posted, but after several hours my review was gone. I do not trust them after this.
I got a swing set and one piece was missing i called customer care they sent it right out i had the part within 2 days beyond happy with product and customer care
I am a frequent SG customer. This review is over a number of orders in the last few years, not one specific date.
Recently, they pulled a very fair and honest review of mine from their site. As a result, I am now letting the world know of their deceitful tactics.
While these guys are a slippery bunch, often sending garbage / not as described in exchange for your hard-earned money, they can send out some good values and unique items. That is why I continue to do business with them. Understand you WILL get scammed by them and lose some money, but I believe there are things you can do to limit the losses.
First and foremost, inspect everything thoroughly immediately upon receipt. That means take everything out of the little bags they pack things in to discourage handling/inspection until it's too late.
Second, when ordering anything order only one of any particular item at a time. When you order multiples of something, that's when they send junk/returns/defectives in the mix. If you order just one of something, they will usually make it a good item because they know you'll be handling/using it immediately.
Third is keep written track of backorders when ordering. Another slimy practice is stacking backorders. When you order something you want but they haven't sent, they compile the orders over time, and send them all at once. That means you could get quite a few of something you only want one or two of.
Fourth is beware of anything sized. International sizing systems vary dramatically, and don't smoothly fit into the s/m/l/xl paradigm SG tries to market in. SG wins when you get stuck with garbage and they keep your money.
Warnings 1-4 may not be their official policy, but it's certainly my experience.
Fifth is not my experience, but I see it in the reviews of others. When those receiving junk write a negative review, SG replies with a soulful message that they care, and will make things right. Follow on reviews reveal this to be BS. I can't be bothered to jump through hoops only to get screwed so I have a box of nothing but SG garbage sitting nearby as a reminder to BE CAREFUL. Someday I'll donate it all to some charitable thrift and take the deduction.
SG are either incredibly lazy and stupid, or out to make money based on your ignorance; unsure which. But with a little care, dealing with them can be a net positive over the long haul.
On March 17th, 2023, I placed an order for non-returnable items as a gift. Very shortly after placing the order (~20 minutes +/- 5 mins), the recipient changed their mind on a detail, requiring me to cancel this order and reorder the same items in a larger size. I tried canceling on the website and it wouldn't process. I called Customer Service, per the website's instructions, and CS told me that once orders were placed, they couldn't be canceled. I ask, SINCE WHEN?? The order was still pending, it was after 8pm on a Thursday night, and even CS acknowledged that no one was working. So, why didn't they stop the order from processing? We argued for the next 18 hours, 5 different CS Reps. Not a single person would take an overt action to help. They went so far as to offer to sell me a reduced-price return label so I could return the package upon receipt - to SELL me this label. When I reminded them that the items were declared non-returnable, I got a "blue screen of death" from CS - they couldn't comprehend the implications of a return label for non-returnable items.... Ultimately, they shipped the package and i have over $200 worth of useless items coming to me, items which are non-returnable. FYI, I have all emails back and forth with CS, plus chat transcripts - this is a true story. And their policies, as listed on the website, say you can cancel an order prior to shipment, that satisfaction is guaranteed without exception and that they pride themselves in their Customer Service. I say lies, false advertising and LAZY. I make my living managing crew and clients, solving problems. I can say without a doubt that this situation was avoidable, with an easy fix - IF ANY ONE OF THE CS REPS HAD SIMPLY TRIED TO HELP ME. After years of declining service, this is the last straw. Please do not support business with such a business model - shop elsewhere and make America Great Again, please.
I purchased 4 ATI Omni Hybrid 223 Wylde AR-15 from Sportsmans Guide. 3 out of the 4 has issues. There is no returning for exchange only warranty. Policy says once you sign the transfer they are yours whether they work or not. No chance to test the item. So now I have to send them back to the manufacturer for a 4-6 week review to see what they will do about them. They are brand new!!! Dont purchase online. Go to your local shops and pay the extra.
they are sucks, They can canceled the order anytime they want.
