Do not buy anything online from these…

Do not buy anything online from these people. If they are at fault there is no way of contacting them to arrange an FOC return. They just send you round and round in circle on their website.
I buy from many sites with no issues. I won't be buying from this one ever again

Poor customer service & store policy

Purchased some clothing & I decided against them. Went to return them for a full refund the next day, only to be told that I can't have my money back.

I was only offered an exchange or a credit note. The cashier advised me that it's noted on every till that this is their policy. That's very helpful to point out now, though I feel it would have been better customer service to highlight this at the point if sale?!

I do not need the items any longer & after being informed of the store policy, I would not want to shop there again.

So money that I need, I no longer have access to. I will be taking this further, as the lack of awareness of this policy has left me at a financial disadvantage.

Purchased pair of trainers in Witney store

Purchased pair of trainers in Witney store box marked up with price of £56 got to till and found was charged £58 store refused to give money back or honour price on box sales person threw a sarcy comment at me under his breath then lied to me when i questioned him, so check before you buy as they do not honour your statutory rights of a refund the way you pay, they have done this to a lot of people and seem to get away with it

The law which they told me is rubbish
And does not apply to them

Product: sketchers ladies trainers
Price marked on box/packaging: £56.00
Price charged on receipt: £58.00
Amount overcharged: £2.00

Under the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 and the Consumer Protection Act 1987, it is illegal for a retailer to display one price on a product or packaging, then charge a higher price at the till.

The price shown on the box (£56.00) is the price I agreed to pay and relied upon to make the purchase. By charging me £58.00, you have taken £2.00 from me incorrectly.

Your store policy regarding “no refunds / only vouchers” does NOT apply here.
This is not a return, change of mind, or faulty goods claim — this is a request for the return of money I was overcharged. You cannot force me to accept a credit note or voucher for this.

I am legally entitled to have the £2.00 difference refunded to me immediately, in the same way I paid (cash or card).

Please refund ASAP

BEWARE OF SCAM VIA X (Twitter)

I messaged Sports Direct using the X app (formerly Twitter), asking for a refund. I received a reply asking for contact details. Within 5 minutes, I received a WhatsApp call offering me a full refund. I was asked to download the World Remit payment app so I checked that it was a real app first. After downloading it and verifying my ID, I was asked to input credit or debit card details. (I had asked for a refund voucher but was advised that the voucher system was down). At that point I decided something wasn't right so didn't add any card details. I've since had recipients added to my World Remit account and they've tried to take money. I've now asked for the account to be closed. PLEASE BEWARE!!

Still waiting for the package

Still waiting for the package — already delayed by 2 days, and without any information from either Sports Direct or the delivery company. Most probably I will have to return it since it was meant to be a birthday present, therefore if it doesn’t arrive on time, we don’t need it anymore.

Appalling returns procedure

Appalling returns procedure. Placed a £250 order with them that arrived in a timely fashion. However we (me and my wife) ordered a pair of Karrimor Caracal trainers each. I ordered a half size bigger and my wife ordered her normal size. Despite other trainers in the order being a nice fit these Caracal trainers were extremely tight and uncomfortable and so we returned them as too small. We didn't see why we should have to pay £4.99 as they were not fit for purpose but got so frustrated at trying to find a way to return faulty items free of charge (our consumer right) that we paid the £4.99 and got EVRI to collect them. Sports Direct instruct you (on pain of not receiving a refund) to make sure EVRI supply you with a receipt for collection. Evri do not leave you with a receipt and I think SD know this. They email you confirmation which you just have to HOPE gets to you. Anyway they now have my trainers and have sent me an email stating they have "CANCELLED THE ORDER" along with a list of the pairs of trainers that have been "CANCELLED". Some clever person at SD has decided to change our reason for return to "Changed Mind." It doesn't really matter what the reason is other than "Changed Mind." gives SD the excuse to not refund postage. No mention of a refund. No apology for supplying goods that are not suitable for purpose. Not even the usual trite "We're sorry our service didn't meet your expectations." which always assumes you had expectations that were too high. I've had enough of this battling to get refunds and lying and dishonesty from companies as big as SD. Soon as my money touches my account I will close it. I actually have an email saying I returned because they are too small and another saying I changed my mind. This isn't supposed to be what business is about.

AI Overview
It is a common issue for Karrimor Caracal trainers to feel too small, with many users recommending going at least a half or full size up from your usual size because they fit quite tight.

Thank you for your email, I hope you are well.

Your complaint has since been forwarded over to myself by Michael Murray so we can look into having this matter resolved for yourself promptly and efficiently.

Firstly I would like to apologise for the experience you have had with this order, we do strive to provide a high level of customer service with all our online orders and on this occasion it is clear that the service provided has fallen short of our usual high standards. I completely understand your feelings of frustration with this situation.

Regarding your complaint I would like to touch on a few points you raised, firstly surrounding the return charge for the order. We do not offer free returns for "change of mind" returns this could be anything from the item not fitting to the item not being suitable or being no longer wanted. We would of course provide a free return should any items have arrived with a defect or had become faulty after use. This is also part of the terms you agree to when placing your purchase.

However on this occasion I would like to provide you with a refund of your return cost as a goodwill gesture on this occasion, to refund this we will require the below details as the funds for the return charge are not held with order. Please see the details below.

Thanks for your reply.

In order for us to assist with a bank transfer we will require the below details:

False Advertising online sales

I bought a product online in store the shin pads are sold as a pair but online they do not specify how they sell them. This is not consistent advertising and selling. So they would not even pay for my return postage as they believe they are correct for sending me one shin pad? I paid £10 for next day total order was £100 and I had to go into store and buy the same item which is sold as a pair so I paid £22 for an item which is sold for £10

It’s very poor service and they don’t care and they are disconnected to instore service . Never Buy online at sports direct

Title: Sent wrong size, no response for days

Review:
Ordered size 37.5 (EU). Received size 3.65 (UK) – that’s a child’s size, completely different.

Sent them a complaint with photos. No reply for two days. Ignoring customer is not acceptable.

If you order from Moldova, be prepared for zero support. Will update if they finally fix their mistake.
Feel free to copy and paste. You can also add your order number in the comments for extra pressure

Really disappointed with the direction…

Really disappointed with the direction this company is going in. Removing the option to collect your own parcel and effectively forcing customers to pay for delivery feels like a blatant money grab. Prices are already high enough without adding extra charges on top.
Standard delivery may be cheaper, but it’s unreliable and unpredictable, which just adds to the frustration. To make matters worse, customers are expected to pay to return items as well, meaning you’re out of pocket either way.
It’s hard not to feel like customer convenience has been completely ignored in favour of squeezing more money out of people. If this is how customers are going to be treated, I won’t be shopping here again anytime soon.
