My girlfriend wanted to update the maps on her navigation system, a Becker Z201. We were aware that the company Becker had been insolvent since 2017. The information on the speedcamupdate.com website was enlightening. Before paying the €10 fee, I researched on Trustpilot other customers' experiences.
The .fbl files to be updated are located in the content, maps folder. The .fbl files are available for free (google.maps), but they have a newer, more detailed format.
I think nobody will bother converting these huge files back to an old format. That's why there exist no updates, so don't waste your money!

I don't even remember when I contacted them, but for at least 2 years I receive spam emails twice a week with a broken 'unsubscribe list'. 'Contact' form does nothing, as I am not a 'recent customer', and webmaster email is disabled. I hate their spam in russian

SpeedCamUpdates.com is a service that does not respond to the needs of the interested party at all. The company sends numerous emails to its customers urging them to update their navigation devices. Earlier I received a few files and the speed alert worked ok. Now every download attempt crashes with an error, and no one in the service even agrees to read the sent mails. Instead, they ask their customer to change the subscription to a continuous subscription. Every mail sent there is apparently automatically trashed, and as a result, I constantly get a message from the mail server that the mail could not be delivered. Every mailing attempt for them goes to "noreply@..." and that is why, customer never gets answer to their questions. My advice to all users - Do not order anything from them. They don't know how to serve, they only know how to make money.

I thought this was Garmin; the online ad certainly made it seem like part of Garmin. It's not, and I couldn't upload Speedcam to my Garmin because it had insufficient storage capacity (I had to purchase a new Garmin GPS unit). I asked for Speedcamupdates to refund my money but received no response. The date of experience below is a guess; it was months ago.

It is a fraud. They take your money and in return send you an *.ov2 file with 71 bites, which neither add nor replace the existing file. It does nothing!!! The system does not recognize it as an update, you can see it since it shows the last update in the speed camera files. In the case of the original camera files (in my case TomTom G930T) the USA and Canada combined to one. I have sent seven inquiries, they reply with the same prefabricated uninformative letter. If you do not understand how the system of your GPS work and have no lesser than expert computer knowledge - don't attempt to make changes in your GPS.

An absolute crook of a company! Stay far away. I paid twice as the files never came through the first time, and ended up not coming through the second time.

DO NOT USE.

After downloading the file the Zip file does not contain the files needed to update your Navi system. The support department seems to be on Holiday!! No reply(s) Do not spend your money here!!
So Speedcamupdates needs to give support immediately because the zipfile is only 24 hours valid!

Total Scam, you get the file but its older than life and no support whatsoever. Surf around and you will be able to find better files for free..

Do not feed this TROLL.

Total waste of money - should not be allowed to trade when they do not offer real/genuine support. Downloaded files for media nav evolution - would not install in Renault Captur. Contacted company numerous times - they either send same unhelpful reply or totally ignore any requests for help/advice or guidance. Waste of time and money. Avoid unless they change their policy of not helping.

The first download I bought from them worked well. They emailed me last week to tell me new files were available, but when I paid and downloaded them, the files were identical to the ones I bought 12 months ago. If they won't refund, or give me recent files, I'll reclaim money through my credit card company.

Scam, no customer support, they just take your money.
Stay away, completely rubbish.

They have billed me and I cannot get the download to work. They do not answer Emails and there is no other way to contact them.

They took the fees off me twice, I never got any refund and now they have expired me a year too early
