Haul LT Quality Control Issues

Let me start by saying this is my 7th bike purchase from Specialized. Needless to say I love the bikes. They have always exceeded expectations. After purchasing my latest bike, the Haul LT, and assembling it at home, I was fairly surprised to find an error code associated with the electronics that makes the bike unridable. I have taken it to the local bike shop and they informed me there are a number of issues including an entire Y cable that needs replacing. The bike this is replacing is a cheap low end cargo bike and has never had a single issue with the electronics. After searching forums and talking to the LBS it seems Specialized is very aware of this issue and seemingly has done nothing to resolve it. I don't typically write reviews and this is not an attempt to dissuade someone from purchasing one of their bikes but to ship bikes with known issues without any quality control doesn't seem like the Specialized way. Hopefully there can be a resolution for future purchasers.

Outrageous shipping and handling; sales tax misapplied

Sales tax was misapplied and more than the rate for my location. It seemed that Specialized applied to part, but not all of the shipping and handling charges. Shipping charges, type, and packaging were terrible. And the package was delivered two days later than promised. Charges were way out of line for such a small part. The derailleur hangar is a very small part, but it was mailed in a super large envelope. Both my wife and I were shocked by that. For the shipping cost, about $15, it was sent via ordinary USPS mail. For that cost, it should have been shipped by USPS Priority at least. I could have ordered the part from Performance Bikes for $21.99 (same price) and paid the correct sales tax, and $4.99 flat rate shipping. Next time I need anything Specialized, I'll look at other vendors.

Bike arrived fast and well packed

I ordered this bike as a gift for my S.O. It arrived in very good packaging and was easy to assemble. Including the tools; a good torque wrench, bits, and anti-seize/carbon paste was a nice touch. The box is set up for assembly but we used a typical repair stand.
The bike worked great out of the box (after our basic assembly tasks), with good shifting, braking, etc.

One nit to pick is the plastic guard inboard of the cassette. It was rattly and served no actual purpose that I could tell. It was a PITA to remove. However, if that's the biggest gripe, we're doing pretty well.

What is the point of ship to store

Product is good, but the website experience was disappointing. First, there is no benefit of shipping to store (it costs the same amount to just ship directly to me) so I’m not even sure why this option exists. Then after I ordered and paid shipping, I got a coupon for free shipping for orders over $50 because the item that I purchased had been sitting in my cart (on a different device).

Saddle was delivered quickly and packed…

Saddle was delivered quickly and packed appropriately.
Only 1 ride so far on trainer, but does feel better in certain areas, compared to my older power saddle.
I do wish that they could do color material, since it will replace my white saddle on my road bike.

Fast Creo 2 Expert Delivery

Art’s Cyclery did a great job marketing…

Art’s Cyclery did a great job marketing the Specialized Turbo Vado SL 2 5.0 to me and it paid off with my purchase, just delivered to me this morning. Art’s is up to speed on all things Specialized and the personnel there are easy to work with. They were very patient with me, something I value.

I’ve been riding specialized bikes…

I’ve been riding specialized bikes since 2013 and haven’t looked back. Between there stump jumper, Enduro and the crux the quality is by far better than any other bike brands out there. I’ve been mountain biking since the early 90’s so I’ve seen a lot of changes. The quality, customer service has been great. I highly recommend specialized to anyone looking to buy a new bike or gear.

Fit perfect on my 2020 specialized…

Fit perfect on my 2020 specialized roubaix. I needed something more easily accessible since I'm always taking the front wheel off to fit my bike in my car. I was tired of using an allen key to keep taking the wheel off. I felt like I was wearing out the teeth. Yeah, it isn't as "aero" but its convenient.

Bought a Specialized bike and the…

Bought a Specialized bike and the dropper broke after a month. Specialized refuses to honor their warranty or stand by their product, and their customer service told ME that *I* had to deal with the third-party component manufacturer myself and hope they have a warranty since Specialize's warranty doesn't cover third-party. The saddle is the only component made by Specialized on the bike, so I suppose they'll give me a new seat if that breaks.

Specialized was great, Fedex, not so much

Specialized was great, shipping, well that was left to be desired. Not typical Fedex or at least in my recent past dealings w/them. Take of work in anticipation of delivery as signature was required. No worries. Delivery window came and went, 8;30 pm rolls around without a word. Wake the next morning, delivery updated to 10:30-12:40, nothing. 4:30 it shows up. Box tattered, crushed on one end, I make the driver wait for me to inspect the contents. After 10 minutes he was getting annoyed, too bad I said, deal with it. fortunately all was ok. But yeah, shitty service and total lack of communication on Fedex's behalf. Bike is fantastic, better than I anticipated.

First order 100% Awesome

I just purchased a new Turbo Vado. I used my welcome discount to upgrade the pedals and get some new gloves. Ordering process was easy and items arrived 3 days earlier than expected. Awesome quality items packed well arrived early. What more can you ask!! Thanks.

When you get a Specialized…you don’t want anything else

I recently purchased the Specialized Turbo Levo Pro (Gen 4) and absolutely love it. The buying experience was simple and fun, with the store making the whole process smooth and enjoyable.

The bike itself is incredible — the power makes uphill climbs feel effortless while still delivering a true mountain bike experience. It has completely changed how much fun I have on the trails.

The Specialized app is easy to use and makes customising the bike straightforward. I also appreciate the helpful email communication from the company, including instructional videos and software update notifications to ensure the bike performs at its best. The ability to link with apps like Strava is another great bonus.

I couldn’t be happier with this bike and would highly recommend it to anyone considering an e-MTB.
