Good, quick service

My phone was stolen and since I already bought a new phone, they agreed to pay the full amount in my bank account. The customer service was friendly and they processed my claim in timely manner. However, it took over two weeks for the money to hit my account. Otherwise good service!

One of the worst

These guys had the insurance for my late father. I requested the refund giving my bank details and evidence of probate of his account. Instead they sent the money to his closed down account and told me i have to go and try and find it. So the money is lost or what most likely happened is it went back to these guys who just sit on it knowing full well that it will be nigh on impossible to start trawling through closed down bank accounts 15 months after his passing. Truly disgraceful company

Disgusting

Disgusting! After weeks of asking for evidence and then saying the evidence I provided wasn’t good enough (despite being exactly what they asked for), I finally got them to believe that I was myself!! Then they sent the phone back barely repaired - not working properly at all! Not worth the money!

How can you call yourself an Insurance Company ...

I am appalled by this company. We pay £9.99 per month for the privilege of 'insuring' with them. We had a phone stolen. It took a week to get a replacement which I felt was acceptable.We had issues with DPD who lost the phone and it took a further five days to get the phone delivered. DPD addressed these issues quickly and professionally eventually. The phone we received does not work properly. I understand that it is a refurbished phone and not a new phone but it is clearly not fit for purpose. I am expected to send it back to have it looked at by an engineer ! What so this already faulty second hand phone can be repaired again ... I expect a new (refurbished if it has to be) phone and this one can be sent back - why should I have to have a repair carried out to a phone which is 1 week old ! I will be taking this further.

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND ONE BIG RIP OFF !!!
This company are a sham know body should trust them. I had my laptop insured with these people and they well and truly scammed me. They didn’t fix my laptop and when I received it back my hard drive was missing. So I now have a laptop that does nothing at all with no windows on no data nothing. I’m still waiting for them to give my hard drive back with all my data on. If they can’t do their job by fixing my laptop then I want my hard drive back with everything including photographs. I’ve sent them emails for the last 2 years each time they tell me they are still investigating it and still I’m waiting. Before I sent this laptop away it was in perfect working order. It was just the hinges that were broken so I haven’t been able to use it since. This company are disgusting and one big rip off as they lie. !!!!

I believe this company is a scam

I believe this company is a scam. I insured my daughters mobile against theft and they refused to pay out. They quoted this..

‘We will not cover:

6. Theft of the Mobile Phone from the person unless force, pickpocket or threat of violence is used.’

So their theft coverage is only if you are pick pocketed or robbed.

The phone was not even on her person.

Citymain Insurance. HORRENDOUS used by Perkbox for free mobile claims

I have never dealt with such a horrendous company. Lost phone and as my company have perkbox & free insurance with Cityclaims i posted my claim. In short they were disruptive the whole way thru the communication of the claim. Staff polite / sarcastically and unhelpful & just kept reading of a script - even the team leader was doing the same and there was NO listening to the client they had clearly been instructed to stick to the script. Basically i also had problems with getting vodafone to issue an email to say my lost phone had been barred but Citymain were as difficult and had not sympathy that the claim was taking weeks to get resolved. Again back to the script! Eventually i got replacement phone. After 1 week a crack appeared on the screen so i thought it must have happened whilst in my bag. Took it to IFixed repairs as thought it was my fault however on opening the phone he told me the battery had a faulty and expanded which had caused the screen to crack. So i had driven 15 miles & now could get it fixed within 10 mins & new battery for £55.00 or i could drive all the way back, have no phone, return it to cityclaims, under warranty, which could have taken weeks again to get it back knowing their terrible slow service. So i paid to have it fixed as i also use this phone for business and couldn't afford to loose calls. I then wrote to Cityclaims advising them of the situation. They told me to sent the battery back which i did recorded delivery. Never heard anything back for over a week. So emailed them and was asked for a serious of questions (repeating myself again even though they had the claims ref no). Then I decided to call and was told there was nothing they could do as i should have returned the phone to them. Which i explained i needed for business etc. Then i asked to speak to a manger. Got a team leader who sounded unprofessional and manner was off hand. Again just reading off the script saying that i should have sent it back. They didn't give a damn that i couldn't afford to loose any more business by being without a phone and she also told me that there was no reason for me to send the battery back!!!! I was furious to say the least as one of her staff told me to do that but she said there was nothing they could do with the battery so i had clearly just been fobbed off by one of their UNCARING staff. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IT' S A DISGRACE.
