They locked me out of my account and gave the pretext of some stupid protection and asked me to change the password. I did that then it asked again after a few hours and, of course, I got locked out again.
I will never by this horrendous service, ever.

I feel compelled to share my recent experience with SoundCloud, a platform that has proven to be a source of frustration and disappointment. In my interactions with SoundCloud, I have encountered nothing but unprofessionalism, dishonesty, and unethical behavior.

SoundCloud's lack of responsiveness and disregard for their customers is truly appalling. Instead of addressing legitimate concerns and issues, they choose to ignore inquiries and complaints. It is only when one expresses frustration and demands respect that SoundCloud suddenly becomes responsive.

Recently, SoundCloud made a grave error by claiming that one of my songs resembled another, which was entirely untrue. Rather than rectifying their mistake promptly, they resorted to strong-arming and blackmailing tactics. They audaciously demanded an apology from me in exchange for unfreezing my account, effectively holding my access hostage. Such behavior is not only unethical but also illegal.

The audacity of SoundCloud to lock me out of my account, preventing me from canceling my subscription and safeguarding my sensitive information, is unacceptable. This blatant disregard for customer rights and the attempt to manipulate and coerce me into apologizing is nothing short of blackmail.

I urge all potential users to steer clear of SoundCloud. Their actions are deceitful, manipulative, and disrespectful. It is evident that SoundCloud is unwilling to acknowledge their mistakes and prefers to engage in underhanded tactics to intimidate and control their users.

As a creator and artist, I refuse to be silenced or bullied into submission. SoundCloud's behavior is not only unjust but also a violation of basic rights and principles. I stand by my right to express my frustrations and demand accountability from a company that has failed to uphold its responsibilities.

I implore you to exercise caution when dealing with SoundCloud. Their actions speak volumes about their integrity and commitment to their users, and it is clear that they prioritize their own interests over those of their customers.

Edit: So Instead of doing the right thing, SoundCloud disrespected me, strong-armed me, and even attempted to blackmail me into apologizing for their own mistake. They never acknowledged or accepted responsibility for falsely flagging my song—not once, but twice—as if it wasn’t mine. Essentially, they accused me of stealing music, which is both false and insulting.

The first time, they claimed my song, Stoned, Baked, and Free, infringed on the copyright of another song called Undefined Vibes by Crystalline Depths. You can listen to both songs on YouTube and hear for yourself that my song sounds absolutely nothing like the one they claim I copied.

Despite this clear difference, SoundCloud flagged my song again. Instead of rectifying their mistake or even considering that they might be wrong, they chose to delete my account entirely. This wasn’t about policy—it was about retaliation because I stood up for myself and called out their error.

SoundCloud has shown no regard for their customers. They refuse to admit when they’re wrong and go so far as to delete accounts of users who defend themselves against baseless accusations. This experience, along with many others over the years with companies like SoundCloud, has left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I no longer want to share my music or even bother with the industry.

Thank you, SoundCloud, for being the final straw. You’ve proven you’re not a platform for artists or creators—you’re just another company that treats its customers like garbage. If you value fairness and respect, I urge you to avoid SoundCloud at all costs.

I have been using SoundCloud for a long time, I had to activate the next pro plan because I had run out of minutes on the free plan. I have always found it a beautiful site and I have always enjoyed uploading music. In December 2024 they decided to migrate all artists who (like me) had activated two-factor authentication to a new 2FA system that uses an external app.
From one day to the next I found myself kicked out of the profile with no way to log back in since I had no way to set up the authentication app. I contacted support and they haven't responded for almost 3 weeks due to "high number of requests". I imagine that many artists have the same problem as me, I hope they can solve it as soon as possible, I upload at least 2 songs a week and for me this is a damage..

deleted music, everyone can claim what they want to claim. they don't even investigate it. a voice actor claims an instrumental song. are you guys retarded or something? then they give me the details of that weird brainy smurf voice actor who doesn't want to help me. and then 5 days later they send an email back saying yes you have not proven that the song is yours. yes I have indeed proven nothing BECAUSE YOU EVER ASKED FOR IT!!!!! a song from summer 2023 is now suddenly claimed in early 2025 by a strange voice actor who does not exist according to google. you are strange people. the following music will NOT BE RELEASED THROUGH YOU. rest assured. MY MUSIC IS NO LONGER IN YOUR SITE APP SYSTEM!!!!!!!!!!!! you just let us steal music! you are blacklisted by the radio69belgium patrimony!

The customer service is ENIXISTANT, how this is possible??? HOW???

Soundcloud stoling from me money, they automatically without my permission setted up 2FA while i made a restart of my pc, now soundcloud support is talking nonsense to me while all the subsciption money going to them, WHILE I CANT USE THE APP

I'm having problems with payment, they won't pay me and they're holding my money on the platform, I've sent several emails and still nothing.

Another great exsample off a site where bots have been taking over - "And they allow it" - Or atleast It feels like it. My theori is their even behind it themself, and allow this scam too go on. So stay away from next plus! Happy they have a tool where you can look for who is actually listing course its all fake accounts bot account most off the times.. So yea no point off paying for that service when they just send fake accounts your way! Soundcloud aint the same as it once was

I return home from holiday to discover an announcement that SoundCloud has updated its site, which has reset its users' links. I have over 600, all of which now have to be manually reset by me, one after the other.

Notably, it never bothers to reply to these reviews on TrustPilot. Its behaviour is appalling and its silence is eloquent.

awful login design much like wikipedia that preys on innocent people for no good reason. however atleast the former has a way to then actually sign up

As many here suggest, stay away! I signed up to get my music distributed via a Next Plus membership. After this did not work, I filed a support ticket, only to get an answer, which didn't solve the problem after 3+ weeks. Luckily I got my money back via a Paypal dispute.

DANGER - Do not pay to distribute your music via SoundCloud Next Pro as they will block your other social media eg YouTube from showing your own original content, decline requests for reviews and ignore tickets requesting help to resolve.

I am going to have to pull my music from SoundCloud and just eat the c£100 fee I paid.

I had been using SoundCloud for years but now they are a joke. Constantly rejecting my releases because I couldn't prove they were 100% my own work (they are 100% my own work) then taking 4+ weeks to answer support tickets with a very unhelpful, generic reply followed by another 4 week wait to get another unhelpful reply. The internet shows that I am far from alone in experiencing this. I switched to another publisher and my tracks were accepted within a matter of hours. I did have to submit a support ticket re something and I woke up next day to a reply from them. BIG contrast in service and my new publisher is more or less half the price as well.

Have NextPro account. Does not make sense. All what is said does not work. Streaming quality of WAV file is 128kbps. This company is just about to make money. Service is zero! After few months reply is useless.

Site is a complete joke...try and cancel it...none of their icons work. Contact their "Help Center" no one ever returns an email! What a bullshit trash company!

There's no way to open a support ticket anymore on soundcloud, waste of money signing up to them as an artist when they wont support you anymore...
