We strongly reject the version of events presented here, as it omits key facts.
During the rental, significant damage was caused to one of the tyres. As a result, a replacement vehicle was provided, which requires a new security deposit in accordance with the rental agreement. This is standard procedure in all car rental companies, regardless of insurance coverage.
After the vehicle exchange, we experienced serious difficulties contacting you regarding the rental. Multiple attempts were made via phone and email, including from our security and legal departments, without response. As a last resort and in line with contractual terms, the vehicle was immobilised. Contact was immediately re-established at that point and the car was returned.
The vehicle was returned in extremely poor condition and the situation at the office required staff to manage a very difficult interaction.
We always aim to resolve matters calmly, transparently, and professionally. Security deposits are standard practice and are clearly explained in the rental agreement.
If you wish to discuss this further in a constructive manner, we remain available via email.

Great customer service...
The hire car I had from Solo was for over the festive period and while the original car developed a battery fault, on 31 December Solo delivered a replacement car to my address, with no debate or hesitation. The replacement car operated well. Solo responded well and quickly once they learned of the issue with the original car. Great customer service.

We booked through Do you Spain and advised we could pick up in the evening only to be called at 4:55pm to advise us they were closing at 5pm, fortunately we were in the area so managed to collect the van - the van was not in the best condition and it took 4 days to have the deposit paid back even though we were advised deposits are paid back within 48 hours

Regarding the deposit, refunds are processed depending on the bank, and in some cases may take a bit longer to appear.

Both pick up and drop off went quick and smooth without any problems. The shuttle came fast to the airport and departed right after dropping off the car.
Service was friendly and the car was new, clean and in good condition.
