Excellent service from Skylar Solar!
They installed my solar and battery system last year—professional, friendly, fast, and completely stress-free. Great communication and top-quality work. A year on, everything’s running perfectly. Highly recommend!

Very friendly and knowledgable team on site and back at office. Explained everything clearly from the first telephone contact, the on site survey and fitting. No deposit and full payment only after completion and testing. They were recommended to me by my son who had his done last year. Highly recommend.

Started looking around for solar panel quotes. Had some only interested in sales. Then came across Skylar. After getting initial information and quotes for various systems I was left to decide what I wanted to do. No pressure. After deciding,was given paperwork to read and sign. Install date was agreed and timeframe given. Could not fault the installation. Workers were very courteous and efficient and tidied up after themselves.
I actually recommended them to my neighbour and he had a system installed and concurred with my view of the company.

Skylarsolar was fantastic, they speced out what we needed both pv panels size and capacity and added battery storage. All installed very quick and efficient. We have not had any issues and they are there for any questions you may have.

Quick installation, competitive price and excellent after sales service. The app is easy to use and monitor the equipment and absolutely love the draws for a free battery as a reward.

The service from this company from the initial contact has been fantastic nothing was too much trouble for Sinead to provide us with a number of quotes until we made our minds up. They were not the cheapest quote we had but their quotes were all detailed out clearly which left no questions unanswered Sinead would also check to make sure everything was what we wanted. Scaffolding erected 2 days before fit. Very pleasant fitters Luke and James wasted no time on starting the fit and worked really hard all day to get it completed. App was explained to us before fitters left a clean and tidy site. More than pleased with the service deserves 10 stars and we would be willing to recommend.

I started my solar journey with Andy Martin at Skylar Solar and he is the most knowledgeable and helpful guy I’ve ever worked with. He was so patient and answered every question I could think of and came up with several configuration ideas that other companies wouldn’t even consider. I got several other companies to quote me and they just didn’t impress me like Andy did! In the end I went with 6 panels on the east and west sides of the house so generating power throughout the day! He recommended the Sigenergy 5 in 1 unit and it’s a truly amazing machine! It’s extremely neat and tidy with great safety features. The MySigen App is so informative of everything coming into the house and battery as well as exporting to the grid. The scaffolding arrived quickly and on the install day Luke and his roofing buddy got to work and by midday the panels were up on the roof, then the tricky part was getting all the wiring up and though the roof. Again, they did a flawless job and was done to a high standard. Note the power was only off for just under an hour while they put in the new fuse box in for the solar. By 4:30 the system was all powered up and generating charge for the battery and house appliances. They removed all rubbish and made sure I was 100% happy with how the system worked as well as the App. Then had Devon from the office call a few days later to make sure I was 100% happy with the setup before even paying a penny! Skylar Solar did all the paper work so that I could get paid to export power to the grid and the good news is after 4x sunny days I’ve already created 105kw’s and exported 50kw back to the grid. I was very nervous about spending money on Solar panels and batteries but Skylar Solar have a team of experts to help you out with anything. - I would recommend them 100%

Great team did a great install very tidy and swift. Solar panels look great and no issues months afterwards.

The sales team are very knowledgeable and were keen to answer questions.

Re: other user regarding the charge if you sign then change your mind. They were upfront about the charge if you change your mind after the survey (only if the initial scope isnt met) and its clear in their documentation if you read it so its standard practice and shouldnt put anyone off.

Very professional from start to finish. Having been recommended to Skylar, this was a delightful process to get a quote. It started with a phone call, in depth conversation about what we were looking for, then a very thorough quote, sealed the deal and then through to completion. I wish that we could experience the same with other companies with which we transact. Installation was smooth, within the timescales, installers were professional and we would not have known they had been here were it not for the gleaming new solar panels and battery. Highly recommend and I don’t say that lightly. Not fuss, no mess and we got what it said on the tin. Surpassed every expectation.

Awesome - why? 6 months research & after recommended list of suppliers from Gary does Solar, found Skylar. System design & technology significantly higher than others. Agreed timescales, which were stuck to and not a day changed. Kept informed all the way through the process. All the scaffolding to commissioning team were super respectful and extremely knowledgable. 9.2kw panels, 8KW inverter & 16kw battery, plus well hidden secured wiring. Friends and family are super impressed with aesthetics and performance.

The whole experience was very professional from start to finish. I was supported by Georgie Anker who was very knowledgeable and patient. He made sure that I was comfortable with the process and that I knew exactly what I was getting installed. Everything was explained in great detail with follow ups and check ins. Georgie was never pushy for a sale, I really felt that he was doing what was best for my situation. Once the order was placed it was then handed over to the customer service team to take over and arrange installation etc. Everything went smoothly and Devon Sanders made sure that we were kept well informed, again very professional and helpful. On install day we had great service from the install team - they were fabulous. Everything was done to a very high standard and we are very happy with the whole process. I have recommended Skylar solar to our neighbours and will recommend to anyone without hesitation.

Unclear Practices and Misleading Information
I had a disappointing experience with this company. They require you to sign a contract even before conducting a survey, which feels like a pressure tactic. If you decide to install later, they charge an additional £250, which wasn’t made clear upfront.

They also claim to offer a 30-year workmanship warranty, but this isn’t mentioned in their documents—only stated verbally. Their documentation and verbal promises are completely inconsistent, making it hard to trust their commitments.

I wouldn’t recommend this company unless they improve their transparency and align their words with their written agreements.

Had avery efficient install of a part replacemet and part new solar system. Sylar were great communicators throughout the porcess and everyone involved was friendly, efficient and competent. Would certinaly use them again and recommend them.

Love this company. I can fully recommend them as they:
- were the cheapest for the system I wanted
- listened to and answered all my difficult questions as far as they could
- did an onsite survey - I wouldn't trust any that didn't, as they wouldn't know if they can deliver, but some don't!
- include bird guards as standard - this is important, and some charge extra
- were excellent during installation and cleaned up really well
- had the best warranties compared to others - in particular, Octopus workmanship warranty is only 2 years, others 10 years, Skylar 25 years (of which the first 10 is insurance-backed)
- always a quick response to any queries.

Informative, competitive all-inclusive price, professional installation exactly as planned including scaffolding set up and removal, no issues from start to finish. They even managed to hide the wiring under the roof tiles, which was not guaranteed possible on the initial survey. A few lost nails from roof tiles found on the road, which is understandable in an otherwise a totally faultless job, delivered and charged exactly as quoted. I would certainly recommend Skylar Solar team for solar, and also the Segen system and Aiko panels.

I shopped around and thought I'd found the right company, and then I spoke to Andy at Skylar who was just so much better! No pressure from him as a salesperson, but he explained everything and we discussed a bigger, better, cheaper system than I'd considered elsewhere.

James, Matt, and co did the installation yesterday and today - faultless from the beginning through to the the end. All 25 panels fitted, battery, inverter, cutover switch - commissioned and powering the house by 1030 this morning.

Fantastic team, they really know their stuff, and when I expand the system I know exactly who I'll be calling.

Wow what a company! From start to finish I felt like everything was taken care of with no hassle! Installation took less than a day in the wind and rain. I was called after to make sure everything was fine and I was happy! 10/10!! Would definitely recommend!!
