Skillsets pays for 5 star reviews on…

Skillsets pays for 5 star reviews on complaintsboard.

My company contracted with SkillSets and I have only bad things to say about it. Their website is extremely embarrassing. It looks to have been made by someone as a class project while taking introductory courses in college.

Language on their page is unprofessional. They even have a header with asterisks to indicate importance instead of using font-weight!

Apparently, SkillSets is owned by Skillsoft. I have experience with Skillsoft from my previous company. My impression was that they charged a lot of money for a minimal product.

My conclusion is that both Skillsoft and their pet project SkillSets are meant to convince executives that training can be offered to employees without having to pay for actually good material through udemy or coursera. Scratch the surface even a little and there is no substance behind the courses. I doubt a single person has ever learned anything useful from these bottom of the barrel time wasters.
