Singer 14T968DC serger
I purchased a Singer 14T968DC serger as a beginner who had never used a serger before. I expected that a well-known brand like Singer would provide clear instructions and accessible customer support to help new users get started. Unfortunately, my experience was the opposite.
The instruction manual included with the machine is extremely limited and does not contain the kind of detailed photos or step-by-step visuals that are necessary when learning how to thread a serger. Anyone familiar with sergers knows threading is one of the most difficult parts for beginners, yet the documentation provided was minimal and not very helpful.
I then went to the Singer website hoping to find better resources or tutorials. I was surprised to find that there were no clear guides to help with threading this machine, and I could not locate a phone number to contact customer support.
After repeatedly trying to thread the machine and getting poor stitches, I began to believe the machine itself might be defective. On February 19th I submitted a request for a return, repair, or exchange. I immediately received an automated response saying I was outside the return window (February 9th) and that customer care would contact me about a warranty repair. As of today, I have never received any follow-up from Singer.
For nearly three months I struggled with this machine, watching numerous YouTube videos and attempting to troubleshoot on my own. I was extremely frustrated and close to giving up on the machine entirely.
Finally, by chance, one YouTube video mentioned that there is a separate workbook for this model. I had never heard of this workbook before. It was not included with the machine and was not referenced in the materials I received. After finding the workbook online and following those instructions, I was finally able to properly thread the machine and get it working correctly.
In other words, the machine itself may be capable—but Singer’s documentation and customer support failed completely. If the workbook had simply been included with the machine or clearly referenced in the manual, it would have saved me months of frustration.
For a company with Singer’s long reputation in sewing, the lack of accessible instructions and the absence of responsive customer support is extremely disappointing.
Based on my experience, I would give Singer an F for customer service and customer support I am sharing this experience in the hope that Singer will review how they support new users of their machines. If someone from Singer customer care would like to reach out, I would appreciate clarification on why the workbook is not included or referenced with the machine and why my warranty request from February 19th never received a response.

Singer Sewing Machine is Crap
Purhase a Singer sewing machine a few weeks ago and it has had nothing but problems. Tried contacting CS and they were no help and refused to let me return it, even though I purchased it less than 30 days ago and have the receipt. Tried contacting their service center for repair and never got a return call. The needle threader does not work, there is a short in the foot pedal, the stitch selector just picks random stiches, and it sews extremely slow. Will never buy another Singer!

I had an adjustoform ordered back in November 2024 it's now may 2025 I've receieved to mannequin despite them saying they've already sent one out yet never gave any information or tracking details its now got to the stage I still haven't received my refund for their screw up of not delivering my mannequin so I'm not able to buy one from somewhere else, useless brand and full of scammers. Never felt so disappointed in singer but I will never order feom them again, I'm still waiting for my refund after I told them a month ago I wanted a refund as they were screwing me over for 6 months.
Dont buy the Singer Confednce 7465 model
I purchased a new Singer Confednce 7465 machine in May 2024.I have had it in the shop three times to have the stitch and length electronic controls repaired - never works and I'm told - its "touchy" be careful with the switch. This is poor manufacturing from a company supposed to make great sewing machines. DONT buy this machine

Before I went and ordered my new singer heavy duty sewing machine I read a lot of reviews.
Some were good and some were bad so the only thing to do was to find out for myself.
First of all what really irritates me is the stupid cover that comes with the machine to protect it from dust and and scratches. I miss the hard case that all sewing machines have used since year zero!
The machine itself functions "O.K" but is very plastic'y and has a definite "made in Taiwan" feel about it. The bottom line here is that singer just isn't the singer that we new, loved and grew up with anymore.
The peddle is even more plastic and cheaper than the rest of the machine and doesn't press smoothly in but is more like stiff brake lever from a bicycle which has a frayed cable.
The Singer Heavy Duty doesn't deserve the its name or branding that is given.

Worst customer service very rude! Machine arrived in damaged box and without a stated accessory included. Machine did not work properly. First sent all info (pictures of damaged box, etc) via Singer.com email form, but did not receive a reply! Phoned and was told I would receive a return label on a specific day, to no avail. Phoned again, now it's 2-3 business days. Very rude woman thought she should explain what a 'business' day is. Beware of ordering via Singer.com! The only reason I ordered from Singer.com is the fact that Amazon was out of stock on my particular machine. I have NEVER encountered such rudeness with Amazon! Will never order from Singer again!

"Worst customer service ever experienced at Colombo 8 customer service center! I sent my Tefal steam generator iron for service, and the officer took one hour just to fill out the form. They kept the unit for six weeks, claiming it was under repair and that they had ordered a few parts, which caused the delay. However, after six weeks, no parts had been ordered, and they simply said the unit was beyond repair. When I finally collected the unit, it was severely damaged, with grease and dirt all over it, as if it had been kept outdoors for a month. It took another hour just to retrieve the unit from the service center. I will never buy anything from Singer again, solely because of their terrible customer service!"

Don't waste your time or money
Ordered a part for my Singer machine on 2/6, then immediately tried to cancel as part was not needed. Customer Service told me part had already shipped but found out only created shipping label, was not physically shipped for 3 more days. Finally received, had to ask repeatedly for UPS return label. Sent part back, was signed for by Singer employee on 2/21...and then nothing. Contacted CS via email numerous times re: refund, with no answer. Finally reached CS by phone, was told she must contact the warehouse to verify return, then Accounting will issue refund in 2 or 3 days!!! Asked her why the warehouse hadn't started on refund, she got snotty and said she didn't know, she didn't work in the warehouse. 6 weeks since original order, as of today, no refund. I will use Amazon next time!

Extremely unprofessional staff when it comes to customer service, had purchased a singer geyser in 2020 and for the first time it required repair support. After raising a ticket with customer care, the local person replied not possible to attend before 7 days, on the 8th day came and twisted the hardware water supply pipes to break them (he had the spares readily available with him), forcefully turned the knobs to the effect of making them leak and mentioned everything is old and broke. Finally we paid him visiting charges to correct just a minor electric fault and for the spare connecting pipes and to make him leave without further damages to whatever he touches. Got the geyser repaired and now looking for a plumber.
