Singapore airlines has really gone downhill in the last 5 years. It is basically now like a budget airline with the seat space and they lost our luggage. Terrible customer service will not fly again

Lost baggage Singapore airlines is a disgrace and one of the worst airlines in the world in the world to deal with

Singapore airlons lose your luggage and ate probably the 1 of the worst airlines in the world to deal with

You use.their grossly useless.incompetent team.on their live chat who just lied to you and can't be bothered looking into any issues.

Here i am 48 hours after they lost my bags they've located them 24 hours ago and the hotel i'm staying at is 40 minutes drive away and they still just make excuses we're looking into it and someone will contact you as soon as we can deliver the luggage. No one ever contacts you no one cares and i just give you copy paste to dance as when you reconnect with them saying we are looking to say where you luggages even though i have confirmation by email they have located it

This is another classic example of grossly inept unacceptable customer service.

I would rate singapore airlines zero out of 100 when it comes to dealing with your lost luggage

Superb customer service Sam

Haven't flown with them for a while but if the flight experience is as good as their customer service representative called Sam..well it will be brilliant. He changed the flights, sorted out the seats abd all with a smile and super attitude. Thank you Sam

Online customer service awful, in person was all good

I almost feel I have to write two reviews
As their online customer service was horrible, and appears to be run by AI robots who sympathise, but don’t actually help at all.
Yet their in person service when I flew was awesome. But the overall experience was tainted by the lead up to flying

I booked 9 months ahead for my NZ-UK trip so that I got a nice cheap flight with short stopovers.
1.5 months out, Singapore airlines decided to cancel my middle flight, with no explanation as to why. I said ok book me on a new flight, they pointed fingers at the booking agent to fix it. And the booking agent told me there was a technical error on Singapore Air’s system, so they couldn’t do it for me. Both of them pointed fingers blaming the other one for a whole month. So I didn’t have a confirmed flight for over a month while I was just left waiting, and so stressed. It turned out it was Singapore airlines fault, as they were the ones to finally fix it, but only when I threatened legal action at them.
They then rebooked me onto a much much longer flight that had huge stopovers, meaning I had to fork out for nights accommodation myself in Melbourne, and add an extra day to my travel, and the level of stress I faced was insane. And they offered zero compensation for this. I had to fork out $168.80 for their mess up in accommodation, and the extra food, and I had to pay for data roaming in Australia to get to said accomodation. And they refuse to offer any form of compensation. I’ve asked repeatedly, and they seem to just be robots who say unfortunately they can’t do anything.

My in person service was lovely and can’t fault it. But their online team are honestly useless. All they say is “we understand your frustration, but can’t do anything”

Honestly so much stress, will never fly with them again.

Singapore Airlines Admits It Misrepresents Flight Flexibility

I bought return flights for my family from London to Bali via Singapore. I asked if we could stay in Singapore and take a later, independent flight to Bali and was told no, the Singapore-Bali leg would be treated as a "no show" and the return flights would be cancelled. Singapore Airlines has since accepted fault, too late to change arrangements and avoid significant loss (unquantifiable in Singapore Airlines' words), yet has stopped communication with a 2,000 airmail offer of compensation after hours of wasteful, circular email and chat communication.

Superior boarding process

Superior boarding process. Superior meals that aren’t just the normal airline, cut and paste un creative tripe that they normally serve. Very attentive, airline staff, including in economy. Excellent in-flight, entertainment, including recent movie releases, and in demand TV shows.

My only critiques would be don’t make the same announcement twice. During the flight, the captain and would announce something and for some reason immediately after the cabin crew would announce the same thing. Secondly, every airline is guilty of this, but on an international flight at some point you have to restock the bathrooms and wipe down a little bit so by the 13th hour, they don’t look like a disaster relief zone.

Unacceptable Service and Zero Accountability from Singapore Airlines & Air Europa

I traveled from Australia to Madrid via Singapore on Thursday, 28 August, with a shared flight operated by Singapore Airlines and Air Europa. Due to a delay on the Singapore–Madrid leg, my transfer time was cut short and my luggage was left behind in Singapore. It was supposedly sent the next day, but now—eight days later—I still haven’t received it.

Singapore Airlines refuses to help, blaming Air Europa. Air Europa, meanwhile, is disorganized, unprofessional, and offers no real customer service. Their phone agents admit they can’t solve problems and won’t even tell me when or how my luggage will be returned.

This experience has ruined my vacation. No one follows up, no one cares, and both airlines have failed to take responsibility. I expect immediate action and a formal response.

Singapore Airlines no ofrece ayuda, culpando a Air Europa.

Left our pram in Singapore!…

Unfortunately they lost my mums luggage and our baby pram. Even tho they took our pram at the gate the pram was not put on the plane? More organization is required. Not having a pram with a baby is really annoying. We then had to drive back to the airport later for the pram and case as they said we would need to wait 48 hours for it to be delivered to us. In that time we would have left Brisbane for our holiday.

Epitome of corporate greed & evil

Epitome of corporate greed & evil.

Peak arrogance displayed by SQ staff (customer service call centres PH/ML, PPS club, customer service center in SG). Trust me, your life is not worth dealing with them. Let's put it this way, as much as people bemoan the automation of jobs, I can't help but look forward to the day (not so far away), where all jobs (incl those of stewardesses) will be automated. Interacting with soulless, vacuous wastes of space with those donning the SQ badge will eat away at your humanity and you will end up in a haze of depression and ask yourself, is it worth seeing the world when greed, apathy, rudeness are universal qualities? The SQ CEO would replace its staff in a heartbeat with a cost-cutting algorithm. The bottom line is the only thing that matters. And the airline's minions only care about their year end bonuses and not the passengers who are the reason they have a salary and the bonuses to begin with. SQ food is a castastrophe, the service appalling (we are talking about biz class) and talking to customer service representatives inspires depression and anger. Seats are dirty and bathrooms rarely cleaned, just a endocrine disrupting fragrance to give some semblence of cleanliness. This is the world in which we live. It's an evil company and sadly, it's turned me off flying. I've been flying with them for almost 20 years and I'm over it. Even with the PPS status I received last year, it's been a succession of bad experiences with them that I barely even enjoyed any of the so-called perks (it's all illusory). Shame on this company and shame on anyone that works there.

Appalling check in experience including discrimination, threats and intimidation of two women travelling alone

I am a long-term user of Singapore airlines and prior to this experience would choose this airline over all others despite relative expense. Following my experience on 29/06/2025 flying from Colombo to Singapore, I can state that I will never fly with SIA again.

I am aged 56 and travelling with my daughter aged 22. We checked in at about 21.00 for a flight at 00.50 at Colombo Airport. There was a long queue of people checking in and (as is common in Asia) many people had enormous piles of boxes, tote bags, shopping bags plus large carry on cases. The check in desks were scruffy and not particularly clean and check in staff were not in SIA uniform. There was no information about luggage allowances or any hand luggage measuring devices (as there was for every other one of the 11 flights we did around Asia). We checked in our large bags with a rather curt young man, who then stated that we had to 'weigh your hand luggage'. I had never been asked to do this ever on any SIA flight and expressed some surprise at which point the check in man became hostile and increasingly aggressive in manner.

He made us 'weigh' everything we had with us - more than 2 litres water and snacks that we had to eat in the airport which were not for plane, small personal item (we each had a small fanny pack which was on our chest and not removed as mine holds medication), cloth document bag. We had a rucksack each as a cabin bag and a cloth document bag and a carrier bag each of souvenirs. This would have fitted beneath the seat and in over head locker. This was considerably less that anyone else I could see in the queue.

The check in man made us weigh everything and refused to let me see the scale and stated it was 'more than 30kg'. He then calculated on his personal phone that we had to pay 232 USD (on a short within Asia Flight) to re-pack our bags and check in all of the 'excess' hand luggage. I said that we had water and snacks and fanny packs that should not be weighed but he said 'you won't fly then'.

We were made to unpack and re-pack sitting on the floor at the check in desk with the check in man constantly telling us to 'hurry'. This was humiliating and when I protested he said 'I will call security'.
I asked the check in man why the staff WERE NOT WEIGHING OR MEASURING THE HAND LUGGAGE OF A SINGLE OTHER PASSENGER. He stated that he was weighing other hand luggage. I said I would stand and watch this process (as there were families with at least 3 times more than us). The check in man fake weighed the cases of one family and then told me to 'go away'. I said I wanted to check we were ALL BEING TREATED EQUALLY, and the check in man raised hi voice at me and said I had to go away or he would fetch security to remove me from the flight. He was threatening in body language and tone and he called over a security guard and a female staff member who poked towards me with her finger and said 'go away and let him do his job - this is your own fault'.
Three staff members came over and demanded 'payment' before we got our passport and boarding pass. There was no evidence of weights, no formal desk to pay at, they took my daughter's debit card and walked off with it. She followed and found 4 staff members with her card with their personal phones out. My daughter was told they had to 'manually' take her card details and they refused to allow her to watch what they were doing and were rude and hostile. The check in man finally checked our 'extra' bags and kicked my daughter's bag onto the belt.

I informed staff I wished to make a complaint about their conduct and asked for names. They all refused to give names and two of them stood very close to me, raised voices and said 'do you want security to take you?'. My daughter was in tears and I (as a clinical psychologist who has worked with mentally unwell and violent offenders) felt intimidated and under threat. The whole experience felt like a scam particularly the taking of the debit card out of sight.

My daughter and I (very regular travellers) felt traumatised by this harassment and discriminatory treatment - WE DID NOT SEE A SINGLE OTHER PASSENGER HAVE THEIR HAND LUGGAGE WEIGHED OR MEASURED. I ended up with a lost bracelet, checking in glasses and medication I needed because of the push to 'hurry' (despite four hours will flying), having to get rid of food and water that we had brought to eat to the airport.
We made a formal complaint to cabin crew on the flight about the incident (and were told to cancel the payment we had made). We reported the incident on arrival at Changi and immediately emailed Singapore Airlines to complain (within 48 hours) as well as filling in an online complaint form.

CUSTOMERS SERVICES HAVE BEEN DISMISSIVE AND DISINTERESTED, made false claims (that we had 8 bags) , refused to provide a 'substantive' reply, refused to share 'investigation', refused a refund. Horrible.

Terrible service after flight cancellation

Singapore Airlines is a good on-flight airline. But one of our flights got cancelled without notice or information. We found out in December by looking at our flight status online. I've been calling Singapore Airlines for nearly a year now about compensation for costs incurred due to changing flights and Singapore Airlines service has been appalling. The tell me they "take notes in their system" so the next person can pick up where they left off. They make me wait hours on expensive international calls (they have no email service!) and they never call back, even when they promise they will. I've waisted too many hours trying to work with this company and I'll never fly with them again

Pre flights

Pre flights: It was good to be updated about your flight as well as changes of tour flight and the beat part is to be able to see what was on the flight menu and amenities. During the flight: Service was great, great customer Service, you get loads of food and loads of water, loads of alcohol. Post flight: the cabin crew very polite, thanking passengers when leaving the plane. It was very painful to wait for the luggages as it took hrs. When we got home we found out that 2x of our perfumes was disappeared from our luggages we were very very disappointed as these perfumes were brand new still in boxes and we bought them from Lisbon. I wanted to tell people to be very careful as there is thief's and they open your bags and steal from you, very not professional from them which put the Singapore airline down as it would have been a 10/10 and a highly recommend flight but not any more.

Fraud with my refund

Dear customer care Team,

I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding a distressing experience I had with Singapore Airlines.

On 1st Feb 2025, I booked a flight through for my father-in-law from Melbourne to Bangalore on February 1st, at a cost of approximately $1030. However, on the day of the flight, I received an email from Singapore Airlines instructing me to complete web check-in. Unfortunately, I was unable to check in due to an incorrect family name provided by Bookingto Singapore Airlines. The name provided was incomplete, which caused significant issues.

Despite spending nearly two hours on the phone with Booking. they were unable to resolve the issue and advised me to contact Singapore Airlines directly. Upon doing so, Singapore Airlines informed me that any name correction would require an additional payment of $150 USD.

After paying the fee to Singapore Airlines, I forwarded the receipt to Booking.c as instructed. However, despite repeated follow-ups over the past two months, Booking has failed to honor their commitment to reimburse the amount.

This situation has caused significant stress, anxiety, and inconvenience to my family and me. I am requesting your assistance in addressing this matter and ensuring that appropriate action is taken against both companies for their failure to fulfill their obligations.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Sincerely

Not a family-friendly airline – a truly disappointing experience

I expected much more from Singapore Airlines, especially as we were travelling with two small children. What we got was confusion, poor communication, no practical assistance, and extra costs – all caused by the airline’s delay and mishandling.

Our connection was missed due to their late flight, yet we received no meaningful support during rebooking. No staff knew our situation. Our toddler was initially seated apart from us, the infant bassinet was not honoured, and no children’s meals were provided despite having been pre-ordered. We were left to await other passengers to switch seats at the gate. We received a ton of misinformation leading us to run through two international airports with two small children and hand luggage.

Afterwards, Singapore Airlines refused to refund our train rebooking costs (a direct result of their delay) and offered only two vouchers that can’t even be used without paying high international shipping. It’s insulting, especially considering the stress we endured with two infants in tow.

I wouldn’t recommend this airline to families expecting care, support, or even basic service recovery after disruption. We certainly won’t be flying with them again.

Not worth flying Singapore airlines…

This is an extremely greedy corporation Their service standards, meal quality, wine have hit rock bottom even for business class. They will charge you top dollar and when it comes to things like earning miles and using them they will use AI against you to make it as hard for you as possible
In business they don’t give u payjamas
Or amenity kids, they try to not serve 2 full meals even in business class What does that tell you about them? Money hungry and profit focussed. Not worth flying with if u can find an alternative

This was one of the worst travel…

This was one of the worst travel experiences we've ever had.
Singapore Airlines refuses to refund us for a flight we never even took.
They falsely claim we boarded the flight, despite the fact that we have clear proof we were in another country (Malaysia) at the time. We sent all the evidence, explained everything — and still, nothing.

Their customer service is absolutely useless:

No empathy

Robotic replies

Zero willingness to investigate

Repeated lies to justify keeping our money

We've been strung along for weeks. They refuse to cooperate with our booking platform and are clearly doing everything they can to keep money they don’t deserve. This is fraud disguised as an airline.

Singapore Airlines hides behind a “premium” image, but the reality is they’re dishonest, irresponsible, and have no respect for their customers.

If anything goes wrong with your booking, you’re on your own. They will lie, ignore you, and take your money without shame.

Never flying with them again.

Not Singapore Airline!!!!

If there are possible to have an airline to fly with, just take another airline. I am not recommending Singapore Airline. I was late on connecting flight because from Singapore was already delayed, and it was ruined the whole journey. It is my first time to travel Singapore Airline just to try for my every year travelling to Asia. And I was traumatized and not good experience that they were not responsible for any compensation.

Not Singapore Airline...
