Even great for buyers
Fiona at Simon Blyth Kirkburton was just a pleasure to deal with. Very open and direct just how it should be. We were the buyers and Fiona really went out of her way to overcome what really could have been a big problem for us (and her client). I definitely know where to come to sell my house if and when that should happen. Definitely recommend. Thanks again.
SimonBlyth Estate Agents
I can't thank Steve Coley of SimonBlyth estate agents enough for the service he and his team provided. Right from the get go he was on a mission to get things sorted both buying and selling, with constant updates and keeping us in the loop with the hole move.
Even when the solicitors chain went pair shaped he was straight on the phone getting us another solicitor sorted.
I would 100% recommend Steve Coley and Simon Blyth for buying & selling your home.

We totally recommend Simon Blyth…
We totally recommend Simon Blyth Kirkburton, they were efficient and professional all the way through the process, Grace kept us informed and answered any queries we had immediately.
A first class service…
A first class service was provided by the entire team from start to finish, leading to the completion of a sale at a figure in excess of the asking price. There were three particular elements to the successful outcome.
First, Dustin Smith’s photography for the brochure was exceptional, the best we have encountered in nearly fifty years of buying and selling houses.
Second, Simon Blyth got the proposed asking price spot on in a challenging market - attractively pitched to generate interest.
Third, Fiona Campbell was always available, handling the resulting viewings and offers, and the entire sale process that followed, with dedication and, when needed, robust but supportive advice.
Twelve viewings in the first four days after going on to the market, and two offers in the first ten days, are testament enough to the service provided. Thank you to all the team.
Truly Excellent Service, Highly Recommend
Summer, Peter and the team at Simon Blyth provided me with a fantastic service when selling my property. Peter's great expertise of the market is second to none. It provided me with comfort and a valuation I was very happy with. Summer was particularly superb at managing the sale process. She was very attentive and knowledgable of the finer details, while also efficiently keeping the solicitors on track. Great experience from start to finish, highly recommend.
Excellent service throughout
Steve and the team at Fox Valley were excellent. From the first visit to the last phone call, they went out of their way to make my move as smooth as possible. The marketing of my home was excellent and I am very happy with the results. Communication was very good and nothing was too much trouble. I've bought and sold 5 houses now, this was by far the best estate agency experience.

Sale of 5 Netherdale Court
I recently completed the sale of my home with SB. The whole experience from valuation, viewings and advertising went smoothly. The team at the Holmfirth office were friendly, polite and extremely knowledgeable. Excellent communication and customer service. I would highly recommend.
Asking price for my property in 6 weeks
SB got me asking price for my property in 6 weeks. The service was excellent and the staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful.
Avoid
Let’s be honest, more than a little corrupt but also inept. Organised a viewing of a property and took time of work to travel over an hour to it and the appointment had not been put in. Then had someone come over and was rushed to view because of their poor time management. Also when bidding on a property be aware the process isn’t as fair, open and as transparent as it’s portrayed to be.
How weird you don’t have my contact info when I still have the “signed as received” paper copies from your office when we submitted a bid on a property. Just another admin fail I guess.

Phoned the Barnsley Branch to make an appointment for my property to be valued. Explained that I work and would it be possible to value at some point.
Heard nothing back at all!!!
I find it RUDE and it’s only CURTIOUS to phone back to say yes or no. Clearly Simon Blythe doesn’t want business so I’ll spend my money elsewhere !!!!

I let a shop through Simon Blyths in January 2024. They never asked the tenant for a deposit, I am still awaiting a physical and fully signedcopy of a lease over two months after the tenant got the key from Simon Blyth lettingsservice. I paid for their legal drawing up of a lease and neither myself nor my tenant have a copy despite asking several times. They also never carried out an identity check on the tenant, never asked for references and didn't even bother asking for their home address. A shoddy, shoddy and expensive experience. I will never use Simon Blyth lettings service again and hope to warn others of their lazy, rude and unpleasant services.

We received excellent service from Maria and the team at the Penistone Branch. From valuation through to completion the whole process was stress free, we were kept informed at every stage of the process and I would highly recommend Simon Blyth.

We would like to thank Fiona at the Kirkburton office for everything she has done in managing the sale of our home. It has been a long process, frustrating at times due to the nature of the purchase, however Fiona was always very professional, knowledgeable, understanding and positive that the sale would complete.
Fiona, your patience, guidance and understanding has been very much appreciated.
Thank you

Stacey and the team at the Barnsley office have been great throughout the process of selling my home and even helped me find my next home! Thanks again, would 100% use again.
Catalogue of mismanagement
We recently sold our property in Sheffield using the Stocksbridge branch and overall I would not recommend them to anybody. Below is an outline of how I have reached this conclusion.
The house was overvalued and had to be reduced within weeks.
The pictures were poor and in my opinion were taken from the height of a toddler (check their listings).
We were promised on several occasions a proof read of the description and of the photos but this never materialised.
During the house sale, our main contact at Simon Blyth left and we weren’t told for months and only after we chased for an update.
There was little to no updates from them during the sale and when chased were very rarely called back.
There was no contact when negotiating the exchange or the completion date.
They were not even aware that the house was completing and were surprised to see me when I arrived in the office to hand the house keys in.
Overall the whole process was a demonstration of poor client relations, bad knowledge of the local property market and basic decency.
Fortunately we struck a positive relationship with our seller and our excellent solicitor otherwise if this had been left to Simon Blyth, I fear we would never have sold our house.
Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Simon Blyth and in hindsight we should have used one of their competitors.
Terrible
1 star given as couldn't give zero.
Offered on a Simon Blyth property only to find when the surveyor went in that they had over valued it by £85k as they had marketed it against new builds in the local area. They refused to accept any fault and said the vender wanted to meet us in the middle with a price. We said we were not paying over 40k more for a house than what it was worth and Simon Blyth kept us hanging for a week. We had to chase them daily for updates and they kept telling us that the vender wouldn't go below a certain price. We then decided to look at other houses. We then found out from the vender a week later that they wanted to sell to us at the price the surveyor and had asked Simon Blyth to tell us this but the estate agent hadn't told us this and instead told the vendors that we were unreasonable encouraged them to put their house back on the market. told the vendors that they felt we were being unreasonable.
When we told the estate agent we were pulling out of the sale, the very rude woman on the phone said she didn't want to hear our complaint and put the phone down on us. We are £1000 worse off in wasted searches and surveys but we just feel so sorry for the lovely couple we were buying off and hope they never use this estate agent again
Fantastic from start to finish
Fantastic from start to finish, nothing was too much trouble.
Thank you for all your help in these unprecedented times.
