Overpriced cars , Inappropriate comunication
I have bought a car on beginning of November Avensis 2009 1.8 petrol . No parking sensors or folding mirrors or speed stabiliser for 6250 . It has 34000 miles on it.
I have agreed for the price as he described the car as genuine car .
It was part exchange for a corolla 2005 1.6L automatic with 53000 miles on . my car Toyota Corolla 2005 automatic with new alternator, new brake pads,discs and 2 calipers, 2 new tyres, new driving belt and price for part exchange was 2750 -200 pounds .
On receiving the car the driver wasn't honest he said the car drives so smooth which wasn't the case and also told me that they have spent 300 pounds on the tires of the car which wasn't at all the case the car came with one tire 2012 and 2 tires 2016 and one 2020 manufacturer date all cracked and purished.
Of course the car comes shiny washed and polished and the tires as well so it is not easy to detect the tire condition at point of purchase.
At day of delivery :
Shiraz asked that I pay 200 pounds more as he want to give the car a metallic paint before selling it, which I told many times this is purely your issue as I am selling the car with the least price I can sell but as I was going to loose a part of my deposit, I agreed and paid this amount.
I couldn't examine the avensis because it took time negotiating about the price difference and he started saying the driver should be driving back by that time. More over he didn't send the green slip with the car and after completing the exchange he sent me the green slip through WhatsApp and he refused to do the transfer online . So I was completely out of mind and consumed with this issues.
The car came with only one remote key and one normal key.
On checking the car I found the tire issues. The air conditioning screen has multiple cracks, one tail light smashed and dim . One side mirror doesn't fold.
The car vibrate on driving, I took it for brake check as the ABS work with out need and it turned out that the front brake pads is wrongly placed as it's directional brake pads. They of course said that the tires are pushing and cracking and needs to be replaced. They also said that the rear discs need to be replaced as soon as possible for 450 pounds.
I did change the front brake pads for 132 pounds. ABS issue resolved but the car remained vibrating not smooth to drive.
I discussed with Shiraz he said that Kwik fit try to create jobs and you don't need to change the tires or brake discs.
I took the car for tire balancing and alignment which all was out of balance and alignment for 90 pounds.
Still the car vibrates so I took it for suspension check but they told me that you have to change the tires first as it's completely purshed and cracked. This will cost at least 300 pounds as it's 17 inches.
Shiraz was initially approachable
I have paid total for him 6250 £ + 200 £ extra on delivery as if he bought my corolla for 2550 or he sold me the avensis for 6450 .
He paid back 100 pounds, when I told him about the car issues he told me you are black mailing me and asked me to send him an email that I won't ask for extra money as refund.
he later paid back 100 pounds then 75 pounds for the brakes.
I have bought another remote key on delivery for 150 pounds of the car as it was mentioned on the advertising 2 keys but I didn't imagine that a recent car comes with one remote key only .
I have booked the car for 3 tires change and rebalancing and re alignment.
My experience wasn't smooth with this company. First day was so difficult, no V5c and extra payment as part exchange which wasn't justified at all or expected , inappropriate communication and putting all the blame on you rather than confessing the reality ,the first day I was told you are wasting our time . although before the car delivery when he tried to reduce my car price , I asked him to cancel and I will sell the car privately and then purchase the Avensis but he managed to pursuade me.
Completely not genuine car as he pretends with smashed dim tail light and cracked AC screen , driver side mirror not folding .
Car has safety issues with brake and with tires which I have asked about the tires before delivering and he confirmed it is good.
Driver can divert you by false information.
Negotiation with Shiraz needs patience. I couldn't forgive him about the word black mailing which I really feel he did the reverse when he forced me to pay extra 200 pounds on exchange day otherwise he will take from the deposit and will not do the exchange
Not genuine car,overpriced , didnt enjoy my car up till now , problem not solved .
