Beware of automatic deductions
I purchased a six-month plan when it was 3D Cart. Because of personal circumstances, I was unable to use it at all, and did not realize that it was set up to automatically renew until the day the renewal charge showed up on my bank statement. I had not planned to renew, but they did not send me any notice that they were going to charge my account, as most honest and courteous businesses do. I contacted the company on the day the money was taken out and requested a refund. I got the following reply from them:
All the accounts are set up on recurring billing and we do not send out notifications prior to billing. Again, per our terms of service all sales are final and we do not issue refunds.

The kept my info after I deleted my account
I’m had read reviews from other websites that shift4shop was good, so I took a risk. Shift4shop’s website builder is really complicated. At least for me. After I realized this, I tried to shut down my website and use a different website building platform. A couple days later I got an email from shift4shop. Before I closed my store and deleted my account, I asked if my info would be deleted. They said of course!!! Well, I’ve been getting email for the past month from shift4shop after deleting my account. Don’t use.

It’s really not made well
Their system is not simple. They make it impossible to log in. They also have problems when you download a new theme, it merged with the other one and causes a distortion of colors and images. I don’t recommend them. I have used shopify and big commerce before and this is by far the most difficult when it comes to the basics.
