Do Not Work for SFERIS
This happened to me in the fall of 2021--I also was scammed by this company. They owed me $180 then ghosted me. Appalling and unethical.

This happened to me in the fall of 2021--I also was scammed by this company. They owed me $180 then ghosted me. Appalling and unethical.
Just like the others here, I was scammed. Was given five assignments to edit outgoing emails, and promised $180 by the end, but when I declined to become a seller they ghosted me. No payment, no more emails. Smh, wish I'd seen these reviews first.
This company scammed me out of $180 and then ghosted me
Another “text editing” scam. $180 exactly, just like everyone else.
Great firm. At first I was a client, then I became an employee and partner. I recommend it to everyone.
SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!! I was hired to do editing and after $180 worth of work they said the position was eliminated and they offered a seller position. If you read all the other comments you’ll see the same thing. They lie and never pay you. I’m sorry
I wish I had actually read reviews before falling into the Sferis trap as countless others have mentioned. I was "working" for 4 days before the dreaded "this position is no longer available, but we would like to offer you an eBay seller position" email came through. I was never paid for the work I did and they never responded again.
Unfortunately my experience "working" for them was the same as others. I worked roughly 4 days as a Copy Editor, totalling to $180 when I was told those were no longer required and could be a seller. I declined and haven't heard from them since or been paid. I'm so sick of scam jobs, though please be aware of them. Don't let them win. Don't give them your time.
Hopefully people will see this before accepting an offer from this scam company. My experience was similar to others here. I saw their post for an email editor and after five days of assignments I was told I could be an eBay seller instead since the position for editor was suddenly no longer available. All correspondence stopped after I declined. Of course they never paid what they owed me for the editing work. I reported them to Indeed, eBay and the FTC.
They will not pay you. My story is similar to others. I worked as a text editor. After five assignments, I was given the option to become a seller or be released. I left my position with a promise by them to be paid for earlier work in 2-3 weeks. That never happened.
They will not pay you. The company is a Scam. I have been doing editing for them. And they would not sign a contract. Now they want me to be a seller for them In Order to Be Paid !! No, that is not how this should work. I do not sell. I am a writer and an editor. And if they will not pay me for the services I already provided how do I know they will even pay me then? They are a SCAM. Stay far away !!
Great shop with a great prices and very fast delivery!
Bait and Switch
I saw their post on Indeed looking for an email editor - someone to correct their broken English correspondence for American audiences. I was told I'd be paid every two weeks and given a contract after a one-month trial period.
The emails were all about how they employ Ebay sellers, the products, the great opportunities, etc. etc. One of them was telling someone named "John" that the editor position was filled but he could be an Ebay seller instead. "Ouch - did I just take John's job? Maybe he wasn't doing it very well?" Later it became obvious that some of my "assignments" were designed to entice me to be a seller too, which I had ZERO interest in. I did the job to rave reviews for 5 days (totaling just $180) until I was notified that the editor job was ending, but I could be a seller! There it was.
I was informed that paying me for editing would be delayed up to 3 weeks, but I could be a seller immediately (and get paid monthly. Seriously.) I declined and reminded them that I was to be paid after 2 weeks and had already worked one week, so I expected to be paid in the original, agreed upon timeframe. All responses to my emails stopped and I never heard back, nor was I paid. I am now convinced that the "editor" job was a fake front to recruit and test Ebay sellers. The sleazy, manipulative way they do business is not for me.
Used their shop for pickup, received a BROKEN tablet. After two weeks consideration, absolutely last day of time to legally respond, Sferis decides to try and repair it.
This means, that we - never having received a properly WORKING device - will now get a repaired product.
Bad. Never again Sferis!
