After a long tenancy at St Michaels…

After a long tenancy at St Michaels Court, my housemate and I left feeling extremely disappointed with our overall experience.

During our time in the property, we repeatedly reported significant issues, including multiple leaks and flooding from neighbouring flats. These incidents led to ongoing problems such as damage to carpets and flooring, persistent odours, and mould. Despite these matters being raised on numerous occasions, many of the issues were never fully resolved.

What was particularly frustrating was being informed during the deposit discussions that there was allegedly no record or proof of our repair reports, despite us holding clear email trails documenting these communications. This was very concerning, as the issues had been raised consistently over several years.

Additionally, the property inventory did not appear to have been meaningfully updated throughout our seven-year tenancy, which made it difficult to fairly reflect the condition, age, and wear of items within the property.

At checkout, the process itself was polite and professional. However, we were later presented with a £270 cleaning charge despite being advised that cleaning would not result in additional costs. The invoice primarily referenced general cleaning and “long-term occupancy,” which was surprising given the length of our tenancy and the age and condition of many fixtures and fittings.

We were also charged an additional £100 for bedroom paintwork, yet no supporting invoice or documentation for this work has been provided.

Overall, the handling of the deposit and the dismissal of previously reported issues left us feeling that our concerns were not properly acknowledged. After years of dealing with unresolved maintenance problems, the experience has been stressful and disheartening.

Based on our experience, we would strongly encourage future tenants to keep thorough records of all communications and property issues.

The staff are amazing

The staff are amazing. Nothing was too much trouble and they really go the extra mile to help. They’re very easy to contact and timely in returning calls.
I have used the letting and sales departments and both are excellent.
A special thanks to Ross, Veronica and Jennifer.

I have worked with Seven Keys for four years.

I have worked with Seven Keys for several years since they took over the management of our rental properties. The team is extremely effective and efficient and regularly demonstrate a deep knowledge of the marketplace. This has been especially the case in recent months when they have taken care of the sale on one of our properties with minimum fuss and total responsibility. Well done, Seven Keys!

Seven Keys were excellent!

We sold our house with Seven Keys and the team were excellent from start to finish. We found them to be competitively priced and were very happy with the level of marketing and service provided. Veronica was very friendly and professional throughout and always kept us updated on what was a lengthy and complex transaction. We would 100% recommend using Seven Keys to family and friends.

Excellent Customer Service

I've been using Seven Keys for a number of years and have nothing but praise for the team (Veronica & Jennifer). They have sorted out repairs quickly and have always communicated every step of the way.
They recently advertised my property on letting market and dealt with all the enquires, viewing and referencing, which has been a godsend for me. I would highly recommend this Letting Agent.
