I am using a vServer from server4you.de for over 10 Years and did some upgrades. Every time i have created a ticket, the customer service could help me. Nice Server-Host.
Very good Server-Hoster. No problems so far except for very rare connection problems. When a connection problem appears it only takes up to 5 minutes then the server is online again.

we totally understand your point of view, but renting a product doesn't necessarily mean, that you need to use it to get charged for it. As soon as you told us about your cancellation objective, your server contract has been cancelled. Charging you for the period before your cancellation is common business, as the business model is based on a rental, not on buying the server. It's a pitty to go seperate ways now, but fairness should be provided by both sides of the contract. Thank you for understanding! We're wishing you all the best!

Great Support!!!
I have running a virtual server for "fun and learning purposes" and I am very pleased with it. Especially the Snapshot feature is extremely helpful.
The next step is a dedicated server to check out Docker. The friendly and supportive Online Chat employee helped me with the correct decision: The Virtual Dedicated Server "VDS Silver" allows running Docker on it has a good price when used "just for fun".

Almost perfect, with some small issues
This provider has very fair conditions for V-Hosts and rooted server, providing very good performance.
In the past there were no downtimes, and only very few issues which were resolved within one day.
Sometimes the support needs to be "pushed" a little into the right direction to fix a issue, else they might try to "blame" you for something that caused a issue on your server (e.g. problems regarding the mail server due to a messed up config file on their side, were not recognized)
There might be issues now and then when it comes to the registration of domains, but they apologized and gave me a note that there were problems within their database.
All in all: very good place to rent a server
